First off their in store food is phenomenal. "sloppy style" gets my juices flowing in all the right ways. They also have a number of interesting options like shrimp Philly and grit bowls. I just wish they were open on Saturdays!
Secondly, they cater for our son's preschool and the food they prepare is excellent and exciting. It's nice to know he's eating real food rather than frozen fish sticks. Were so lucky to have found nomad and building blocks!

We stopped by for dinner last week (takeout) and everything was delicious, hot and fresh. We ordered the brisket, garlic Parmesan wings and a Philly Cheesesteak. The portions were very generous and the food was well seasoned. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, especially given how busy they were. Highly recommend!

Vegan Options, Black Owned small business, Tasty.
I stumbled upon this delightful local business when in town for the holidays.
It is black/female owned and family operated.
Owner/staff were very kind people and very helpful in combing through the vegan options to help me choose what to order.
The oyster mushroom po boy is what brought me here but the Heart of the Sea fish sandwich is what would draw me back. It was delicious and I loved the texture. Wish I'd bought 2 for my big appetite.
The po boy was also good but I wanted a little more from it But I can be picky with my po boys

Happy to support a black owned business. I will try them during regular lunch or dinner but never again for catering. I ordered a dinner for 5 for Thanksgiving and was very disappointed. First the meal promotes a whole fried turkey as an option but upon receipt it was explained to me that really means 1/2 of turkey. The greens were Glory greens without the seasoning, Mac and cheese was decent and stuffing left much to be desired. Gravy was burnt and the rolls were out of the bag nothing was added. Very disappointing experience.

We are moving into the neighborhood. Nomad caught my eye the first time as a gentleman was painting a great mural on the side of the building. I stopped in to find that they had shrimp po'boys on the menu as well as a boatload of other seafood and vegetarian options. Now this is not a New Orleans po'boy, but it comes close enough that I'm only a little bit homesick.
Next time, I bring the man. He gets the crab and shrimp philly sandwich. I opt for the half roast beef. His philly has all kinds of goodness (he especially liked the grilled mushrooms!). I don't know where

I found this place during black restaurant week because it had vegan options listed and we were in search of a new brunch spot. I stopped by and sat at window table. Its a small but cute little place to eat. We chose the vegan chick sandwich and fries, vegan fish sandwich, french toast, vegan sausage and shrimp & fries. The first thing I noticed was they were very reasonable priced.
The service was a little slow but once we got the food it was piping hot.
The chicken sandwich was good, but needed a lil seasoning. I like to taste my seasoning. The fish sandwich & french toast were perfect

This spot is in my neighborhood and I absolutely love it. Black owned business ! They have recently remodeled so that there is more of a seating area and you can sit at the counter. The owners and staff are always polite and my food is always delicious! I will continue to get my eat on with them as long as they are here.

What a hidden gem this is. We were looking for something new, and I recalled hearing about Nomad's chicken sandwich. So wife and I stopped in for lunch. Boy, are we fortunate. The menu includes the Big Chicken Sandwich, but so much more.
I ordered the chicken sandwich -- what else? It is a large portion, and very well seasoned. I think there is a little blackening spice in the mix, which was really nice flavor. Deep fried and pulled out at just the right time -- cooked through but still moist. I was worried about the bread -- it didn't look like it was going to hold up to all

Awesome Jamaican vibe at this place. They were jammin' and cutting it up having a good time while making food. Not a vegan place but they did have a few vegan options that were good for me. The red bean burger was obviously homemade and really awesome. (As a former New Yorker, I won't hold it against you being from Jersey.)

I usually order delivery or online at this location, but I was driving by and decided to stop for lunch. It was a little early for lunch, but I wasn't really feeling breakfast. It was a weekday and there were a few people inside, and they ordered breakfast and it looked and smelled really good.
The last time I got food here was their huge sandwich, which I had to take a part and make multiple sandwiches from it since there was not enough bread. This is not a bad thing at all, the sandwich was delicious.
This time I ordered just a regular sub and some french fries. It was very good

Went in for lunch today while participating in #rbre18. I walked right in and was greeted warmly. The staff is warm and friendly. They have a nice variety on the menu. I chose the black bean burger and fries. The potato salad looked so good i had to get it as an extra side. The girl scouts just happened to be there so yes i couldn't resist those either. The food was great, the staff was friendly. A great neighborhood deli. Check them out if you're on the Northside of town. I will return.
