We had 2 Hitches with 2 wire harness's put on 2 different vehicles. My wife's Hyundai Santa Fe and my Ford Transit Connect xlt. I would leave a 5 STAR review for her Santa Fe job but did not get the same service on my Van. They go by a flat fee for the service so quoted her $280 for her Santa Fe but $450 for my van based on a estimate of 2.5-3 hours for her Santa Fe and 4 hours for my van. They ended up spending about 1.5 hours on the Santa Fe and 2 hours on my van. So first problem for me is the fee if they're charging me for 4 hours of labor but it only took 2 hours. I know

I went for an expert evaluation for a custom hitch for carrying a bicycle rack. I was able to make an appointment and met with Dave ( a principal in the biz, aka "Big Dave"), it was a pleasure to interact and he did a targeted assessment that unfortunately precluded any customization options for the vehicle. I can strongly recommend that if your need a hitch or any trailer/rv work this is the place to get it done!!!!

SD Trailer Supply does great work, and their staff treats us very well. When we wanted to install a wiring harness and brake controller in our 1-ton van, several other businesses said no. But SD Trailer Supply said yes and did a great job. When we wanted to install a front-mounted hitch for our bike rack, and I couldn't find one I could order and install myself, SD Trailer Supply said yes and did a great job. Yes, they are expensive. But, they are professionals who earn their money. I wholeheartedly recommend SD Trailer Supply. :)

SDTS installed a complete flat tow package for our Jeep Wrangler with braking system to be towed by our 30 foot Class A motorhome.
They spent the time to understand exactly what we needed, made good recommendations, and performed a professional installation. Rick provided excellent customer service, and Dave did a good job explaining how to set up and use the towing and braking systems safely. I'm an engineer and teach other engineers at San Diego State University so I'm not easy to please with safety critical things like this! These people clearly know what they're doing and take

Fantastic experience. I went in with a lot of questions, having never towed a trailer before. Derek got me completely setup, even went above and beyond by calling manufacturers to make sure various parts would be compatible with my new 2021 truck. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, took the time to explain how everything worked in real world terms, showed me how to install everything. Really great service! San Diego Trailer Supply came to the rescue. I had purchased a hitch online and it wouldn't fit when I tried to install it. Enter SDTS! I took my car and the hitch to SDTS and they were able to determine that the hitch was bent in shipping just enough that bolt holes were not aligned. They were able to straighten it and get it installed within 1 hour. I got there early and watched as they did COVID protocols (taking employee temps and having masks). Just got back from San Diego Trailer Supply and I couldn't have had a better experience! These guys know their stuff. Customer service was fantastic, COVID protocols simple to follow, and the work looks great. Call before you go, you will need to make an appointment. Also, they have reduced their hours and are not open on the weekends right now due to COVID-19.

Amazing Amazing Skill and workmanship! The trailer brake system and harness was installed with top notch professionalism and Skill. Very impressed! Incredible service! They are willing and ready to help. We were passing through on our way back home to Utah and our trailerbrake controls stops working due to some poor installation from previous installers. I picked up my 2019 Cherokee Overland with my 34' TropiCal Motor Home yesterday... and San Diego Trailer Supply completed the installation of a Blue Ox Base Plate, Blue Ox Tow Bar, Toad Protector, battery charger, and all lighting, plugs, and wiring. 100% attention to detail. Dave Younger spent over an hour with us... it 100 degree heat....… explaining everything we needed to be familiar with... to safely hit the road. My wife and I were amazed at the care... and consideration we were given.... let alone the incredible clean and professional installation. I cannot recommend them any higher

My new F-150 with factory tow package did not came with the brake controller and charger fuse and relay (none do as Ford has resolted to save $10 in a $50k truck sale...) and Davo immediately troubleshooted the issue and new
