Service was great and friendly. We were greeted immediately and seated very quickly. We had the classic eggs Benedict with hash browns and it was delicious! The waffles were tasty. The pancakes were a bit different, they tasted as if they were made with a sourdough batter? I could be wrong but regardless the food was really good. 10/10 would recommend. Oh, the coffee is delicious, a real cup of Joe!

Made a return visit to Santa Barbara, can't get enough of this picturesque city! Decided to stop at Sunshine Cafe, Yelp pics of their food items looked cool! Ordered breakfast burrito, they use whole pinto beans which gives the burrito an authentic taste. Potatoes on side with green onion topping were very good. BLT sandwich very hearty, and coffee nice and strong! Recommended!

Service was great! We were welcomed within a minute of arriving, we had water at the table immediately, and our drink + food order were taken quickly. Food arrived in about 5-minutes. Keep in mind that it was close to closing on a Tuesday.
Aside from the staff, the food and quality were just okay. Yet, the prices are great (two breakfasts, a juice, and a side of fries for $35 - this would be closer to $50 at most restaurants in SB).
This is a diner, so maybe this is an unfair review? The syrup for our pancakes and waffles was coagulating, oil was leaking out of our fries and building a puddle

First time here today (12/5/21), pleasant surprise! Food very very good! Service was great! Our waiter (forgot to ask his name) was courteous, attentive and funny! Excellent morning stop. I had the Huevos Divorciados (comes with a bit of chili Verde) and my wife had the steel cut oats, both recommended by our waiter. Try it you'll like it!

There are many breakfast places around but most of them are just okay in my opinion and the ones that are good are super long waits to get a table.
This unassuming quiet spot on upper state does a good job. Huge menu with reasonable prices and when we went it was super quiet and slow = easy to get a table.
The food was good, the order of French toast some of it was not all the way cooked through, but otherwise everything else we got was good. The service was very quick and attentive.

Good, strong coffee. The smoked salmon Benedict was so good! I was leary at first because there was only one review of the salmon but I was craving it so I took a chance. I was NOT disappointed. Eggs were perfectly cooked, salmon was fresh and the right saltiness, the muffin wasn't over toasted, the hollandaise sauce was tasty. Other items we ordered: Chicken and waffles gets a mixed review. Waffle was light and fluffy but chicken was a little tough. Breakfast burrito with pinto beans and sour cream was huge and very good. Corned beef hash was delicious. I was craving a waffle so bad and I saw pics and decided on SB Sunshine Cafe. This was my first ever visit. Came around 12 on a Sunday and it was a 5 min wait for 2 people. We opted for a Belgian waffle combo with over easy eggs and bacon + a NY steak speciality w/ fries and a side salad.
Everything was classic diner style and I was satisfied!! We devoured everything. Steak was medium rare and juicy. Salt and pepper your eggs and steak though as they leave that to your liking. Crab Benedict was tasty - I would recommend it for seafood lovers. It's a nice thick layer as thick as the English muffin and drizzled with sauce (not drenched and soggy). The Eggs Benedict were a little over cooked for my liking (I like having the yoke run out when I cut it open). House potatoes were well seasoned and it was filling!
French toast combo was good- French toast was made well and not soggy and floppy like some other places. Plenty of cinnamon
