Natasha is AMAZING! I haven't had my hair fixed since the last time I was here a year ago. She is incredibly patient and kind. She is talkative which I love because I am also a talker. The hours fly by and I leave feeling uplifted. Great Waves is a wonderful experience! My instructions were to cut the highlights out and she did not disappoint!!! I love it!!!

This was my first time getting my haircut in a salon and I was very excited and hoping for a transformative experience. The salon was nice. They had called back to push my appointment to the last opening of the day and my first mistake was agreeing to this time slot because I ended feeling rushed from the time I walked in. I told the hairstylist I wanted my hair above my shoulders and she tried to convince me otherwise asking what my husband would think. I kept asking for shorter but realized I wasn’t going to get what I came for. It was impossible for me to take an after picture with a smile

I just had my first haircut today at Great Waves. Everyone was prompt and courteous. I asked for a stylist that knew how to cut short to medium length hair. My appointment was with Gentle Fields. She was amazing!! She talked me through every step she was doing, she gave me advice on styling and said she was going to cut slowly because "Once you cut the hair you can't put it back!" She wanted to make sure the steps she was taking were what I wanted.
She also said today's cuts are all about the products you use to hold your style. So she explained how I could get the same

I have naturally curly hair and have not had much luck with haircuts or color. Great Waves did a great job. Not only was my color and highlights awesome my haircut was finally what I’ve been wanting. Also- the treatment they used to condition my hair was amazing. I get a lot of compliments on my hair now.
I live in Dallas and have family in Tucson. I wait for my haircuts till I can fly in to Tucson and get to Great Waves salon. So worth it.

My first time here. Let me just say, I'm VERY picky about my hair cuts. I can't count how many terrible hair cuts I've gotten when we're traveling. We are RVing here for a couple of months so I depended on Yelp's reviews. Thanks, Yelp.
My five stars is to my hair stylist, Gentle. First thing she did was study my cut (I have short curly hair) then asked what I wanted done. She LISTENED. Bottom line, she listened and did a great job.
All the staff were very friendly.

Only been to this salon a couple times with Damaris , & from the moment you walk into the Salon it's so welcoming, the staff is incredible, making you feel at home! Always super comfortable! Damaris is phenomenal, ensuring that she gives you exactly what you asked for! My cut is always spot on & since the coloring she has definitely blown me away with her talent! For sure will be coming back here

I have been going to Great Waves for my haircut for over 10 years and Gentle is my go-to stylist. I often go to her with a picture of the hairstyle I want and sure enough she delivers it spot on without hesitation. Recently, Gentle had to take some time off due to medical issues and while she was away so Stephanie did my hair - and she was also excellent. Cedez has been doing my hair for years and has always done an incredible job. I am incredibly low maintenance when it comes to my hair (if I have to do anything other than brush it as I'm walking out of the door, it's not happening) Despite this, no matter what color or cut I've gotten from Cedez it has always looked great, and with care the bright colors last me at least 4 months and instead of turning off colors they fade into beautiful pastels. No extra care needed either! I'm using the shampoo, and conditioning treatment she recommended, and my hair has never felt softer. I will never go anywhere

Last saturday I called 3 salons to ask for a same day appointment for a color retouch, no highlights, no hair cut, I didn't even care if I got a blow dry, I just wanted color. They were all so rude in telling me NO WAY on a same day appointment. I passed by Great Waves, and called, they told me immediately "Absolutely! We will find a way to work you in". They worked me in at 2pm, I had my hair done by a lady named Gentle. She was so nice, and so professional. She even asked me during my consult "what do you want to accomplish at this appointment?"

Gentle has been doing my hair and eyebrows since the beginning. I am fairly low maintenance. I get a a haircut (no color) every 2-3 months and my brows waxed every 2-3 weeks. What I love best is she allows me to picky and does not give me grief. I am super picky about my eyebrows and she is patient and listens to me. It takes me awhile to break-in a new person on my brows, and she stood the test :D
