Thai Aroma
From farm to table! We take pride in our quality THAI and Japanese food experience. Take a moment to smell just how important fresh cuisine is to our customers. Like most other Asian cuisines, rice is the staple grain of Thai and Hom Mali. In fact, however, the secret to our food is a balance of five flavors: sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy.

Some of our dishes have a careful blend of all these tantalizing tastes. Fried mini wonton bags filled w/ shrimp, fresh crab meat, chicken, snow peas & carrots served w/ sweet & sour sauce. Fresh spring rolls filled w/ bean sprouts, cucumber, avocado, egg, marinated tofu, & pork sausage, served w/ homemade plum sauce.

Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your Thai Food
No way, no way, Pad Thai gave me the runs
Hey, hey, you, you, consistency was pre-chewed
Hey, hey, you, you, your Green Curry is too water-y
No way, no way, you know it's not a secret
Hey, hey, you, you, I don't like your Thai Food
Not to whine, I lost my mind, food's suspicious
I think about it all the time, your reviews are so conflictive
You know what you should do, order from somewhere else tonight.
(Alright, alright, alright, alright)
Don't pretend, I think you know this food lacks freshness

The lunch special is amazing, for $8-9 you get a ton of amazing food. Just had Hom Mali for dinner too and it slapped. Thanks Hom Mali you filled me up again 🤤

Have never dined in but started ordering from here during the pandemic and it's been great every time. Whenever I order for pickup/delivery, the food is ready in 20 minutes and it's still piping hot by the time I sit down to eat it.

We usually order the Pad Thai with chicken and Panang curry with chicken. Both are packed with flavor and come with a good amount of protein. Have also tried the veggie egg rolls and pad see lew - really enjoyed those as well. If you're in the mood for Thai, definitely check this place out!

Delicious food, and the waiter was still very attentive while answering calls and taking care of to-go orders. He was awesome.

High quality Thai food that is surprisingly not expensive relative to any other Thai restaurant / restaurant in general. I got the green curry with chicken and also yellow curry noodles. Both had great flavor and spice. I wish the rice portions were bigger, so you have to order a few extra sides of it.

Great bang for your buck.

My new favorite Thai place in Chicago!!! As a huge lover of Thai food, I was very sad to have not found quality Thai food places around Chicago area that I could eat at. This place changed all that! The pad kee mao had amazing spice level and all the right flavors. The pad see ew which was a sweet soy hit the spot. The green shrimp curry was a little less viscous than I usually like but the flavor profile definitely there. The Thai custard and sticky rice had beautiful presentation and the warm eggy custard was decent but the shining star was the sticky rice dyed blue (naturally I'm assuming

Specifically searched this place out as I wanted Thai for my short trip to Chicago. I found it because of the good reviews but honestly I thought it was pretty average. It was good! But not amazing. I had a party of three and we all thought it was ok. The atmosphere was cute though and the staff were very friendly.

I live around the corner and have been here dozens of times since the day it opened. I suspect it has changed operations a number of times as the restaurant scene has been altered. This place is clean and has great food. They are in the food business not the delivery business. Get off the couch and walk over and pick it up. If not convenient, go to the place on your own block!! This place is excellent—any comments to the contrary are incorrect.

Food was incredible. I have ordered from here twice, once the service was slow for pickup. They were all working very hard but you would think that if they were understaffed for the amount of orders they were getting, they would temporarily stop some of the third party orders

This is our go to Thai place and probably the best Thai we’ve had. We’ve only ever dined in so I can’t speak to the delivery experience but we are typically the only ones dining there, maybe one other table. Honestly that shocks me because the food is so good.

I ordered Lard Nar. There were a few Chinese broccoli leaves and a hand full of very chewy pork belly. The noodles were on the side so when they came out of the container it was just a clump. Not what I was expecting. I pretty much spent $17 on a bowl of gravy.

Best Thai I’ve had in Chicago so far! We order pad Thai (ask for it spicy), kra pow, or basil fried rice. Super tasty and the staff are always very kind and attentive.

Hey guys, apologies for forgetting to take pictures of what I ordered coz I was too hungry gobbling it up. Though this restaurant is not in downtown Chicago, I would still strongly recommend coming down here for the authentic Thai food. It’s probably one of the best in the States and for those who really need the spicy option, do come here!

This place was pretty good. We picked it because it was close to North Avenue Beach where we were. My friend got a seafood dish served inside a coconut which she said was phenomenal. We also got an appetizer sampler which was good, and I got a Thai basil fried rice that I liked too. Overall it was pretty good- nothing amazing though.

This was excellent. I love massaman curry and I have it in many different thai places. This is the best one I've had in quite a while. The shop is spare and clean, and the service is friendly. I'll definitely be going back and highly recommend this place. Curry for dinner with water to drink cost me less than $12 without tip

This was a seemingly random small restaurant in Chicago but I'm so glad we checked it out. The service was quick and the food was delicious! It is BYOB so we brought a bottle of wine but be careful because they do not have a wine opener. In terms of food, we ate the Pad Kee Mao and Kra Pow Rice, both with Tofu. I eat out at Thai restaurants a lot and I will say that the food was very flavorful. The Tofu was perfectly cooked and both dishes had unique flavors. The only critique is that this restaurant should be open later! We were told that they close at 8:30 which is very early especially

Hom Mali should not be missed. I get takeout from here. Every server is friendly, and welcoming. The food is always right on time, hot, and fresh. Crab Rangoon stays crispy. Pad Thai is nicely done. Soup is wonderful too. My family can't get enough of the peanut sauce!

My first but not last visit here. We came in for lunch after the Van Gogh exhibit and it was a wonderful way to celebrate a beautiful day. The pad Thai was delicious and their homemade sambal was amazing.

I also got khao soy and lime chicken to go. Khao soi was spicy but perfect. The lime chicken was sweet/tart.

The restaurant was super clean and service was attentive.

I can't wait to go back!

Had a great take out meal! Their menu is pretty extensive with lots of great options. We went with the cashew fried rice with shrimp, panang curry with tofu, and the pad kee mao with chicken along with a salmon and avocado roll. Everything was so delicious and very flavorful! The portions were great and we had leftovers the next day. The prices are pretty standard but worth it for the quality and flavor. Will definitely be back!

Bought a Groupon and I'm so glad I did!!! Everything was spectacular! I'm originally from Portland, Or and believe it or not, we have some of the best Asian food around, so I've been struggling to find similar flavors here in Chicago. I hope Hom mali is consistent because my husband and I really want this to be our new Thai restaurant. We ordered the Thai sausage fried rice, pad kee mao and the mixed vegetables! They were all delicious!

Hom Mali Thai and Sushi is a cute little restaurant conveniently located on North Avenue. I called ahead to order dinner for pick up. They seemed understaffed that day so I had to wait a bit to pay when I arrived, but the host/server was very friendly and doing her best so I did not mind.

We ordered pad woon sen with tofu, pad khee mao with tofu, and a Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The portions are fair and comparable to other restaurants around Chicago. I also appreciated that they packed my drink in a plastic bag to prevent spilling (side note: drinks are not listed

Came here tonight for the first time. We've been walking past for months and wondered how it is and finally stopped in - wish we would have come sooner ! Giving it 5 stars but with some recommations:

- farm to table Thai and it all is VERY fresh tasting - the inside is pretty no frills but it's also BYOB. Probably not super ideal for a group bigger than 6 but the tables can be moved around.

-pad Thai 8/10 surprisingly our least favorite of the 3 we got but it's still very good and a very large portion. The noodles are more slippery than dry - I prefer a dryer pad Thai but it was
