In a city like Houston where fast paced living is the norm and transportation can be lengthy, our day to day living is very much impacted by our own physical and functional health. At OPTherapy & Wellness it is our mission to empower each one of our patients to live independently to the best of their capability.

We not only provide you with a personalized plan of care, but we also take the time to give you in depth education and understanding of how to manage, minimize, and prevent any further pain. When you become a patient you become family. Your care does not end as soon as you walk out the door. If you are referred by your primary care physician, we take the time to work collaboratively with them to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
Services
The motivation and mission of this private practice is to improve the overall health and wellbeing of our fellow Houstonians by addressing each of our client's functional goals. We know that when you are feeling pain and discomfort it can be a difficult time. When you visit us and become a patient you become family so you can rest assured that you will be treated with respect and that all of your concerns will be listened to and addressed.
Neck pain, headaches, and other pain around the face, under the eyes, and jaw can impact our everyday life. A thorough evaluation by our licensed physical therapist will help identify the root source of your pain. By identifying the cause of your pain a tailored care plan will determine the treatment interventions implemented to get you back to feeling your best.
The shoulder joint is a complex combination of bones which come together to join the arm to the torso. It is considered a ball and socket joint due to the rounded shape of your upper arm bone (humerus) joining together with the cup shaped end of the shoulder blade (scapula). Another joint associated with the shoulder includes the joint formed by the acromion (projection of the scapula) and the clavicle (collarbone).
If you are suffering from lower back pain, you are not alone. It is the 'common cold' of all pain. In most people, their lower back pain goes away on its own, but in some of us it can become chronic. Chronic pain can significantly impact our quality of life, and lead to severe disability. A painful back can be a result from an accident, trauma, chronic injury, or secondary to various disease or conditions.
Although hip pain is a common complaint seen by physical therapists, many times the cause of the hip pain originates elsewhere in the body. Injuries and conditions such as a sports hernia, a groin muscle strain, and sacroiliac joint (SI joint) dysfunction can radiate pain to the hip area.

The hip is a ball and socket joint joining together our legs to the rest of our body, and we depend on this joint for the majority of our body's functional movement patterns. It's this dependency of the hip which makes hip pain a debilitating symptom, and can have a crippling impact on our everyday life.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I was having daily migraines, almost two decades of back pain and years of neck pain. All of this was immediately improved after my first visit. I tell everyone about OPTherapy. I followed Dr. Perez treatment plan and it seriously changed my life. I have been going to chiropractors for many years and I will never go back to that. I never thought I would go a day without a headache and now I've had less than five in the past year. Customer service and professionalism cannot be beat. They take their time and really do everything to get to the root of

Awesome place to rehab!! Easy to reach location. The facility is clean, openly designed, yet conducive to proper patient care and privacy. Oscar is a great therapist, he is hands-on, thorough and answers all questions until you are satisfied. He genuinely cares for his patients and it shows! I will definitely go back and will refer all of my family and friends. He performed post-op therapy on my knee and also helped me with chronic sciatica! Aracely is friendly and extremely helpful as well.

I came to Dr. Perez after being told surgery was the next step for a foot issue. After a few months of therapy the issue has gone away and I am feeling so much better!! Dr. Perez took the time to listen and provide the best care to eliminate my plantar fasciitis. After completing the recommended therapy I have continued to take advantage of the Wellness Program. Overall the experience has been great and I definitely recommend OPTherapy to anyone seeking therapy or a wellness program.

I have visited many PT centers before but OTP is one of a kind. Oscar is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain his finding in terminology that everyone can understand. This is not one of those places where they say go do these exercises but a truly one on one experience. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful.
The treatments I received here have significantly improved my mobility and range of motion while simultaneously reduced the amount of pain and stiffness.
I recommended this place to anyone in need of a first class PT.

I had to have a craniotomy to remove a tumor and Dr. Perez was my therapist post op. He paid very close attention to what my needs and created a customized exercise program that were all home friendly. Even though, I felt I didn’t need a lot of therapy I’m so glad I went because I feel my balance and coordination are even better than before I had my surgery. I highly recommend this physical therapist for his knowledge, professionalism, attentiveness, and schedule flexibility. Whether you’re recovering from a surgery, or just need some fine tuning in your body book an appointment with Dr.

Dr. Perez is a highly experienced and caring physical therapist who has done an excellent job helping me recover from an ankle injury. He developed a very effective program using a variety of exercises, some of which I do at home to gain back my strength and mobility.
Dr. Perez was always diligent, attentive and helpful, guiding me with exercises I would benefit from aligned to my specific needs.
I am truly thankful for the way Dr. Perez worked with me to build strength gradually.
Dr. Perez and his wife Aracely are very professional and are always willing to work around your schedule for appointments
