Shamrock Montessori
Shamrock Montessori is a bilingual (English and Chinese) Christian school. The "Shamrock" in our name refers to our Christian view of Montessori education-faith, hope, love. We are committed to develop a "whole" child of spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical. Our Montessori classrooms are beautifully designed to meet the needs of children in a specific age range.

In Montessori classroom, the children move about freely, choosing their "work" with responsibility and freedom. They work in groups and individually to explore the world around and develop their potential.
Services
Ms. Dawn has been teaching in Montessori class as a lead teacher for 12 years. She holds a B.A. in Literature and Education and took her MIA Montessori training in 2009. In 2012, Ms. Dawn Tang took her second training from Montessori Teacher Preparation of WA to be a teacher trainer, and started to help in MTP class as a trainer assistant since 2014.
We are the only bilingual Christian Montessori preschool in Bellevue. On the base of God's faith, hope and love, we work hole heartedly for the goodness of the students with skills and patience, regardless of the students' beliefs. We treat each student uniquely for we know their gifts and purposes are unique.
Dr. Montessori observed that children experience sensitive periods. As students develop naturally absorbed and internalized, Montessori teachers match appropriate lessons and materials to these sensitive periods. We implement all the 8 major areas from Dr. Montessori's theories in our environment as below to help the students fully develop.
We invite you and your family to start the registration process at Shamrock Montessori House by scheduling a tour of the campus and facilities. Personalized tours allow us to provide you with a first-hand experience of our school in action. It also lets us focus our time and attention to answering your specific questions and concerns.

My daughter joined Shamrock 1 month ago and I can tell she is happy and excited to go to school every day. She has learned and grew a lot although it's only 1 month. We are amazed by how organized she became and she expressed her love and care of others constantly. We are truly grateful of the guidance she received at school. We have toured and interviewed many schools before COVID and we feel extremely lucky to be able to join Shamrock. Teachers are loving caring and responsible. There are many different type of fun activities to engage kids and let them learn from the enriched environment. Shamrock

As one of the first students, my daughter has been studying at Shamrock Montessori for three years. We're super glad to see her growth, on both academic skills and personal characteristics. Thanks to the teachers' care and hard work, my daughter has had a delightful childhood at Shamrock. Once what bothered me a lot was my daughter didn't want to go home when I picked her up. My family very appreciate Shamrock.

Montessori +Christian background +Chinese culture, exactly what we are looking for. My 3-year-old is always happy and excited when dropping off and picking up, with a big smile. What a meaningful school life for her, feeling warm, safe, secure, joyful, learning friendship, become more independent. Highly recommended and a tour visit sure will help you understand more personally. Thanks for the teachers' passion and proficiency in child education.

As a multi race family living in the US, I really want my kids to keep learning Chinese and I really like Montessori style school, so we felt really grateful to find Shamrock Montessori when we moved to the big Seattle area two years ago.
Even though we are living in Issaquah, it is about 20-30 min drive from home to school every day, I still decided to choose Shamrock as it was the best choice I could find for my kids according to our needs. And we really see how it's been paying off when I took the kids back to China recently that everyone we met was complementing how good Chinese our kids spoke

The school provides great balance on English and Mandarin immersive environment. My son loves the school very much, especially learning and "working" with other kids. He is very picky in eating, however he finished lunch almost everyday in school. Teachers and school must have some magic.
The curriculum and take-home is impressive. And we got tons of photos from daily life every week.
And we had many field trips, and hang out with other families.
Highly recommend this school.

I whole heartedly believe Shamrock Montessori is one of the best preschool there is in Bellevue. What is important to me when choosing a preschool for my son are caring teachers, clean safe environment, and high academic. Shamrock Montessori met all that I was looking for and more.
I love that the school is Montessori based and that they teach both Mandarin and English as well as Christian faith. It is hard to find a preschool that has all those factors as well as great teachers. I like that with Montessori education, the focus is to help the child develop essential skills to learn naturally,

My son has attended Shamrock since it opened in Fall 2017. There are two teachers and 6-8 kids. It's a bilingual Chinese school. Currently, it is operating out of their home. The school is very clean and neat. Both teachers are very attentive and enthusiastic. They start the day warmly greeting each child at the door. They patiently guide students to do things by themselves. It is a Montessori so there might be more independent activities. Since my son can work well independently, he seem to enjoy his time working on tasks. They do a great job hosting special events like holiday parties and

My daughter has been in Shamrock Montessori for 3 weeks. In the first week, I expected her to be very resistant to go to the school compared with her previous experiences, but she only cried at the fist day when we dropped her. It really surprised me. In the third day of the fist week, when she came home, she started to say " I want...." " I will... " (in Chinese) for almost everything she was doing. She started to express herself!! With the time going, there are more and more changes. I found that she started to put books back after reading, sort things by color or size, strong minded to help

My older boy was in Ms. Dawn's class for two years, and he grew from a shy boy to be a confident and independent boy who loves to speak up in his class, so I have no doubt putting my younger one in Shamrock.
My son has become much more independent just being at school for two weeks. He is so eager to do things by himself now, and that helps building his confidence too. He is more willing to express himself using words than emotions.
Raising the child in the Montessori way helps a lot with the attention span. My son is now more focused when he is playing at home. And he has created very good habits

Besides the 2nd language they teach in class, in general both teachers are great at understanding kids' psychology, behaviors, motivations behind. Since they well understand what's in kid's mind, they lead the kids into positive direction where as I've seen some places where teachers get frustrated with kid's behaviors. My both kids (now 3.5 and 5) did good time with both teachers. 5 year old is in public kinder now and my 3.5 year is still with them. we feel so lucky to have/had them as our kids' teacher.

My son Aaron had been with Ms Dawn for two years and he loved to go to school everyday. We started when Aaron was two and half and Ms Dawn was so nice and patient and made the transition time so smooth. After that, the campus moved to a new place which is much further from our home, but to stay with Ms Dawn we preferred to drive 40 minutes each morning to the new campus. :)
In those two years, Aaron grew to a big boy and he is very independent, confident, love to speak and perform in public. He is willing to help and care others. He is also curious about surroundings and always happy to learn
