I had the same problem as Eugene( 4-24-14). When the burner came on my 1 1/2 AO Smith 40 gal. water heater a loud foghorn would sound for 20 seconds, super loud. Also when the dishwasher, washing machine, and shower would run the foghorn would go off...loud..
So I called AO Smith and they gave me the number to Alpha Omega Plumbing which was close to my house. Frank responded after I called him that morning. Alpha Omega responded immediately to a water heater issue at my house. My AO Smith water heater had a crack in the combustion unit and was covered under a recall. Frank came out and handled this fix within 10 minutes. After asked him to check my bathroom for a rattling pipe and he fixed this free of charge in about 10 seconds. Thanks Frank and Alpha Omega! Frank did an excellent job replacing my AO Smith water heater 6 years ago. Recently the control panel became defective, I was afraid no one would come out during the coronavirus pandemic. Frank came out within a few hours with the exact replacement part (still under warranty), got us back up and running again. Great service and a life saver! Highly recommend!

My water heater was broken for one day, called different company or handyman, either no reply, or no solution. I found the Alpha Omega Plumbing from AO smith service provider this morning, gave him a call, he answered phone, and came over to my house in a hour. Very fast response.
The service he did is very professional, he replaced the burner of water heater within half an hour, my hot water finally came back. Before he left, he also checked if there is gas leak or not after installation, very careful and professional. Also another important thing, the cost is reasonable!

Due to AO Smith water heater recall. AO Smith gave me Alpha Omega Plumbing number 408-622-8911. I called on 5/12/2019 left message, I send Text Message on 5/13/2019 1:39pm to followed up and followed up the message again on 6/16/2019. Frank never reply either text message or return my phone call. How can a business so busy can't reply to anything. If you're too busy just say it. You are not the only one plumber in Bay area.

I had to replace my tankless water heater up in the attic and install a new one. I contacted multiple plumbers and Frank's quote was the best! He showed up right on time and installed it in about 2 hours. I asked him to install a remote control so that we don't have to climb up the attic and he did that at the same price. He even brought in an electrician to make sure that everything is code compliance. Frank is a real professional and can be trusted 100%! Thank you Frank!

After listening the issue I got, AOS's representative emailed the list of some service providers in my local (San Jose, CA). I called Alpha Omega Plumbing because it works on Sunday. Frank (owner) asked me my address, then he showed up in front of my house in 30 minutes later. Professionally, Frank recognized the issue of my heater: its burner's broken. A brand new burner was already in his truck for replacement

Like some others here, I was given Alpha Omega Plumbing as the service provider to fix a water heater under an A.O. Smith recall. I called them 4 times over two weeks, left my contact information each time and I never received a call back.
I can understand being buried due to the recall. But in that case put on the voice mail that "if one is calling due to the recent recall, we can no longer accept the work as we are backed up..." It would have saved me weeks of waiting.

If I could give a zero star, I would. After being referred to them by the A.O. Smith recall customer service team, I called multiple times and left messages. There was no call back, nothing. I understand that they are overwhelmed by the volume of service calls. Yet, what they could do is to let people know that they aren't able to take the call. Just a simple "We are sorry but we can't help you" would be nice so I don't have to keep on waiting. I could just move on to call the next plumber. It's a common courtesy!

I have a bad A.O smith water heater burner that I needed to get changed out. A.O smith sent me a replacement burner and I was told to to contact Alpha Omega Plumbing. I Have been calling for the passed 3 days going on 4th and no response. Every time I called I was just forwarded to voice mail and I left a message every time. The least they can do is answer the phone a let people know that your booked so we could start looking for a different service provider.

We purchased a faulty water heater from Lowe's. Lowe's gave us three plumbers to contact. We contact Alpha Omega multiple times with no return phone call. I finally had Frank answer the phone. He asked me to send him a text with our address. I sent two texts and received no response. We contact the third plumber that Lowe's recommended, SPS Plumbing and had someone come promptly and fix the issue. I do NOT recommend Alpha Omega Plumbing.

The owner of Alpha Omega Plumbing, Frank, came to my house on the same day I called, and finished replacing within 15 minutes. Frank was professional and provided good service. I appreciate his work.

My 2-year-old AOSmith hot water heater broke and Alpha and Omega was on a list of approved contractors. Like the other Yelper, I do not recommend AOSmith (hot water heaters should last 10+ years), but I was happy with my experience with Alpha Omega.
I called Tuesday around noon to schedule an appointment for Thursday morning. Frank was able to confirm my appointment right away, unlike other plumbing companies who asked for 24 hours to respond (!?).
Frank and Amy came on time within the time frame that gave me (9-10AM
