I’ve purchased from Josh and his collection of vintage clothing. Such an incredible selection. Josh thank you for being so patient, insightful, and generous. As for the mid century modern furniture out front… Exceptional! The best part, authentic.

Probably more appealing to a collector. less interesting to those who simply appreciate mid-century modern design but want to make you so it. for example; reupholstered chairs seem to employ older less comfortable fabrics as opposed to updated materials.

My wife and I stumbled upon Sparklebarn ( just makes me smile to write that word ) as we were in the hunt for a mid-century lounge chair. A very knowledgeable sales person showed us many chairs and gave us the provenance of each one. Being from out of town we asked if shipping was an option. We were introduced to the owner, Shane, who was more than willing to help us out. Very friendly and eager to helpful, we talked about our options, he showed us several chairs in his back shop which were being reupholstered some with new owners and others available to purchase. When I was looking for a vintage sofa for my living room on craigslist, I came across a sofa and a lounge chair from Sparklebarn that I absolutely love! I had a chance to visit the store and it's an absolute gem. Their furniture have been restored very well and all are in pristine condition. Shane and his team are friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to accommodate my needs adequately. I'm glad that I was able to get my sofa and chair from a local store and excited to check out more cool things in the future!

I had been in the store a few months ago and loved the style of it, but they didn't have quite what I was looking for at the time. Had a good talk with Shane, the owner, and started following the IG to keep an eye out for new stock. This peacock painting came up and I snagged it. Really happy with my purchase and looking forward to getting more items from there.

I am so happy with the beautiful leather Ingmar Relling for Westnofa Siesta Chair I brought home yesterday from Sparklebarn. The owner was so helpful and delivered the piece to my home. I ever need more mid century modern furnishings or decor/art, I'll be sure to contact Sparklebarn again. I'm so excited about their showroom in Ballard, and look forward to returning!

Purchased an awesome chair and side table. Owner was responsive to my questions, worked with his upholsterer to get a new fabric that fit our decor, offered a good price, great quality, definitely recommend.

I am amazed how they neatly pack so much great stuff into a smaller place. Glad I was wearing a mask because I might have damaged a beautiful piece with my drool. The owner was really helpful and has great customer service skills. Would highly recommend.

Just spent weeks looking for a reasonably priced sofa in Ballard. I quite literally stumbled on this gem of a shop the week they opened and I was pleasantly surprised to find an adorable, mid century modern, Danish teakwood sofa set. The price was almost too good to be true, the set was newly reupholstered, and the employees were beyond generous and helpful. They have some adorable vintage lamps and room decor for sale as well. I will certainly be back soon.

This place is AMAZING! Unique, mid-century modern pieces that are restored to their original glory! The owner is really knowledgeable and super friendly. I had planned just to walk in and look around and left with a new lamp and an awesome table! If you want to support a great local business check it out!

Saw this awesome mid century display case on Craigslist and found out it was in this new shop in Ballard, Sparklebarn. We met the owner, Shane, who was super nice and clearly passionate about all the vintage pieces he and his team are so expertly rehabbing. So many cool items in the shop, it's curated really well. The space itself is beautiful too. Drop by and you'll probably find something you love. We'll be back for sure!

My partner and I just bought a new mid-century house and were on the lookout for a new dining table. We walked in and John was very welcoming and knowledgeable about all of the furniture. He even invited us to check out a few pieces in the back which they were still working on. And right there we found our new dining table still in process of being lovingly restored. The price was right and John said he would finish up for us. We decided to go for it!

I just went to their opening party last night - wow! This store is gorgeous, and I pretty much want everything in there. It isn't one of those trendy mid-century recreation stores where everything is actually brand new... these are authentic vintage pieces in pristine condition. I think they're going to do really well in this neighborhood!
