C & E Lumber is a family owned and operated business since 1954. Original owners Jack Russi and George Callaway designed and developed the first lodgepole pine tree stake, now the standard in the landscape industry. Jack and George then started the Bourbon Valley Company (BVC) producing doweled lodgepole pine posts, poles, and rails.

C & E Lumber has distributed lodgepole pine products in Southern California since 1962. The commitment to quality and service for all your pole needs, what ever they may be, comes through a 2nd generation of management headed by Rick Russi. C & E Lumber is dedicated to help you with your building pole ideas whether architectural interiors or exterior landscape projects, large or small.

Regular Stock Sanded - These Sanded poles are machine sanded up tp 120 grit for baby smooth finish. Regular Stock Hand Peeled - Offers the same uniform diameter with a more rustic, brighter look. Rustic Poles "Barkie" - Are the lodgepole pine tree in its natural state with bark in tact or partially removed.

This place was a gem to find.. family owned and very helpful..just moved into the are and was currently going to home Depot where I had a hard time finding help..here not a problem...lumber yard is huge also.. weekly deliveries nap if they don't have it they can get it

Great place for do it yourself type people. Just show up with a cut list and they can make all the cuts for you. Very helpful if you have ideas but not really a way to execute them.

I love shopping at C & E Lumber for all our home projects. We found so many options of wood, stain, paint and have built things like upper cabinets for our kitchen, a built in desk anchored by bookshelves, a giant farm table for our patio and we built a pergola. The staff are always friendly and you get that small town feel shopping here. Give them a call or stop by to check out options of live edge wood for your next DIY project, we made one into our coffee table to add that rustic look and it's perfect!

I choose to support local business. And this place has always been the spot for all my hardware needs. However they have a new counter person Theresa who just makes things miserable. This lady has no people skills. she is rude and unapproachable she should not be the face of this business. I have always felt welcome and appreciated until recently. Employees like Theresa make me reconsider my business and support for C&E Lumber.

I moved to Claremont 45 years ago and discovered C&E. They contribute significantly to my quality of life. I have been a customer through three generations of C’s and E’s. All the hardware and lumber related stuff you can't find anywhere else, you can find here. Old school and local with a really friendly staff. Amazing selection of lumber from 1/4" moulding to fullgrown trees.

They have IT ALL, and if they don't, they can get it for you. Everyone is so knowledgeable and eager to help. I won't be going to the big box stores anymore. C&E Lumber Co is THE place for me from now on. Every time I shopped there, someone was able to answer my questions and direct me to the proper item, offer helpful tips, and give good advice.

This local gem is amazing. Tremendous, knowledgeable service from the staff, and a surprisingly large selection of items I need for taking care of my home.
This place is VASTLY SUPERIOR to the big box stores (At HD & Lowe's - impossible to find an employee to help you!). Prices are maybe a hint higher, but it goes to help a FAMILY RUN BUSINESS, not a corporate monster.
C&E is my first choice hardware store.

Not too sure why they have such a high average review. I went it was completely unsatisfied by the lack of effort by everyone there. I came back here to see if i was just a one off but it seems like a few others felt the same way and i still was considering giving them a second chance. That was until i read thier responses to the people leaving poor comments it seems like they would love to give a response that blames anyone but them or they just say that they never responded i also ended up going to homedepot and recieved much better service and pricing.

Having a local lumber yard and hardware store is awesome. Even though I drive all the way from Temecula you can't beat the service and selection. The selection is of products are solid as you are not goi g to find the " cheap " Chinese crap here. The wood and species collection is awesome and if c and e doesn't have it they can get it with in days not months. Also if you need specialty cuts or a cut at all they can do it and you don't have to call some one to get special service. There is no grade 3 wood going on here. After 3 generations there is something to be said about

Was in a hurry and dropped by on a chance they would have what I needed. I'm so glad I did! I've been conditioned by the big orange box to disappointed every time I walk in the door. Not here! Not only did I get what I needed but, met some nice people in the process. In the blink of an eye I was back on my with my items and propane!

Can't wait to come back and just look around! Wood slabs and log cabin poles!
