Providing counseling to help resolve issues impacting your life and the lives of your family members. You'll often hear us refer to ourselves as CCFAM. We are a large group private practice offering counseling services on the north side of Fort Worth, Texas. We provide a variety of therapies to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
At the heart of our practice is the desire to bring Healing, Empowerment, and Connection to each of our clients through our counseling services.

Services
Similar to a client seeking counseling, CCFAM was founded in 2007 as a result of life circumstances, taking a risk, and being willing to adapt to change and growth in order to not only survive, but to thrive. As the number of clients seeking services quickly began to multiply, Dr. Johnson became a supervisor for multiple licenses and credentials to employ other licensed professionals at different phases in their careers.
At CCFAM, we value understanding each caregiver's perspective on how a child's experiences and needs are impacting their relationships and behaviors. We use play therapy to build a trusting relationship with each child and join with caregivers to provide resources and support for home and school.
We provide support and encouragement to individuals and couples by offering a safe environment, where each person is heard and valued in their journey toward healing, healthy relationships, and informed decision making.EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of counseling using Bilateral Stimulation (eye movements), headphones with a tone, or pulsers held in the hands.

We've collected these resources with you in mind. We know that parents are very busy, so we've tried to do some of the work of compiling and organizing information for you. This training includes practical information and handouts for parents and their children, who have experienced Loss and Trauma.

I've been going to this location for a year now and seeing Cristina Alvarez. I've had nothing but positive experiences. Their policies and expectations are upfront and reasonable. Anytime I've had an issue with billing or potentially missing an appointment they've always been very communicative and helpful and are consistent with the policies you agree to when starting therapy.

My son has been going here for several months and we have loved our experience. He was seeing Michelle, who was wonderful and caring, but she recently left the practice for health reasons. He is now seeing Nic, who is also a great play therapist and whom my son really enjoys seeing. Things I love about this office: the staff has always been very professional and kind whenever we have visited the office; the play therapists are extremely knowledgeable and have interactive, engaging offices, full of fun activities; everyone has been flexible and accommodating when I have needed to change things up

The customer service here is absolutely awful. After having my initial meeting just two days prior and scheduling my two children back to back for two hours in the morning, pulling them out of school, and missing work, we go to our appointment just to find out that they cancelled without telling me. They claimed they emailed me. It's 2020. Emails don't get lost. A PHONE call is what a professional company communicates with anyway. So after voicing my concerns and letting them know it wasn't professional especially since two small children were involved, they LAUGHED at me while I walked out of

Really disappointed with their policies. We are in the middle of Covid -19 I thought they only offered video therapy. I couldn't do that at home because of my relationship. I cancelled several of them. One of them I missed cancelling, so they want to charge me $75 - I didn't have the money, my FSA was gone. My husbands pay has been cut in half due to Covid-19. I told them I would try to have it by my next appointment but I didn't so I called 24 hours in advance to cancel and hopefully have money by the next one. I was informed all my appointments were cancelled. It would take me 2 months to get

It took several weeks to get my daughter scheduled. I get a call a few days before her appointment from a woman who spoke in a very very uncaring and flippant manner that proceeded to tell me the counselor she was supposed to see and had been waiting a couple of weeks to see, was leaving and in addition THEY felt it was best if my daughter went somewhere else that THEY felt would be a better fit. Their referral, 30+ minutes away. Unprofessional and uncaring. RUN. Despicable and unprofessional.

I use to think that this place was wonderful and caring...that was blown up in our faces on our last visit. I took my 5 year old in who was very excited to see his therapist. Unfortunately, my Visa had expired and I didn't realize it. The receptionist swears that she wasn't rude but was in fact rude. I got a bill for no show which was not the case. My son broke down crying because he could not see her. I went back in and asked if he could at least speak to her...she sighed and said well that isn't typical as you look at my child full of frustration. I typically would have had another card but I

Very disappointed. We had an appointment scheduled, got there to fill out all of the paper work, and then they asked me to write down my credit card info on a piece of paper authorizing them to charge my card on file anytime. First off, I don't write my credit card info down. It's 2017.....almost 2018, and they don't have a better system for keeping a credit card on file. I offered to pay any remaining balance before our appt every time, I offered to let them scan my credit card info and keep it secured on a private access network.....but they weren't budging. I HAD to write
