Union Hills Animal Hospital is proud to serve Phoenix, AZ and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. Since purchasing this practice in 1998, Dr. Susan Goshert and her staff have worked tirelessly to create an environment where clients are comfortable and confident that their pets are treated the same way we would treat our own.
Dr. Goshert grew up in Phoenix. She graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Wildlife Biology and went on to earn a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. Since graduating she has enjoyed working with dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds and rodents. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading (is a member of 2 book clubs), taking drum lessons and traveling.
Here at Union Hills Animal Hospital, we are pleased to have a large amount of veterinary services available for our patients. We are proud to be able to serve Phoenix, AZ and our surrounding communities to give your pet the best care that they deserve! We try to see emergencies and urgent appointments during our normal business hours. However, because we are a one doctor practice, there may be times when it is impossible for the doctor to be freed up, for example if she was in surgery. If you believe that you have a life threatening emergency, please call us at (602) 863-6629 and we will be able to tell if you should come right in or if it would be better for you to visit an emergency practice.
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys and has the potential to seep into your pet's bloodstream. In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.

My pup, Cloud, has been coming into to Union Hills Animal Hospital for roughly the last 8 months, since he was 8 weeks old. All the staff and Dr. Goshert have been nothing but caring, helpful, and patient with us. They really do their best to make Cloud, feel as safe and reassured as any pup can be in the vest.
From the front desk staff taking the time to answers a wide array of questions, to Dr. Goshert fully explaining and exploring the options available to me for making the most informed decision for my dog, I truly feel like they always have the our best interest in mind. And they always do

I was very impressed with this practice! My dog needed urgent care and I was able to get him in within a couple of hours of my call. I am changing to this practice - I tried to get him in to my regular vet and was told it would be almost a week - not acceptable to me. My daughter has two dogs and her daughter has a hedgehog - she will also be going there. I highly recommend this practice!

I am so happy with this clinic! I called yesterday to make a last minute appointment for my pup suffering from skin issues and they were able to squeeze us in this morning. The ladies in front were friendly and helpful. The vet was also friendly, thorough and up front about the costs of the tests and was able to figure out what was bothering my big guy. Very reasonably priced and I'm happy I brought him in. Looks like I found my new vet clinic!

I’m new to Arizona. I had so many places that I could choose from. I am so glad I found this place. The doctor was amazingly compassionate and loving. The office was very clean and up-to-date. The front desk staff were amazing. I really appreciated the love and concern the doctor showed towards not only myself but to my fur babies. She was very thorough in explanations and making sure I understood what was expected from us being new to the state.I definitely recommend this place. The price was reasonable the service was fantastic and the doctor was great!!!!!

We have taken multiple animals, in various states of health to receive care at Union Hills Animal Hospital. The staff are the most kind, considerate, animal caregivers you will find. We no longer have our dog Odin, but his last breathing moments were spent here. The care we ALL received was the best. Animal care is difficult for everyone and finding the correct fit for you and your pet can be a long journey. If you are ready for a good vet, who doesn’t pretend to know it all but makes it her responsibility to get to the solution, then Dr. Goshert and her staff are your selection.

Union Hills Animal Hospital has always been our vet of choice. For years our four legged kids have had their doctor appointments with Dr. Goshert. The level of care and concern from everyone is outstanding. The staff is phenomenal. You can see and feel the love they all have for animals at this clinic. We would never take our kids to any other vet. They also give senior discounts which truly helps us give our rescue pets the level of care they deserve.
