Respite care, or short term care, is a chance for someone to rest, recover, and rejuvenate. Most commonly respite care is taken by people who have had surgery or other medical treatment and need a place to recover. However, another use is when caregivers need to take a break from providing because they are sick, need to travel or other temporary reasons.

My mother, Jodie, dictated this review to me for posting. I share her sentiments entirely. "To be closer to family, I recently moved to another facility after being a happy and contented resident at Windsor Gardens for two years. Without the slightest hesitation I give Windsor Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Knoxville, Tennessee a 5-star rating along with a big A+ and A-OK. It is in a good neighborhood, close to good shopping centers. It is very clean and tastefully decorated with classic accents and the right combination of warm and bright cheerful colors. There are 3 different sized rooms

A well run facility! Every time I called them they answered the phone and were very attentive! Bridget and the nursing staff did a wonderful job getting my aunt back on track with her medication and schedule, all while allowing her to maintain as much independence as possible. She was allowed to come and go, so it was far less intrusive than a nursing home. My only regret is that I didn't get her in sooner. I would definitely recommend Windsor Gardens to anyone looking for an assisted living.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I found myself in the position of needing an assisted living facility very quickly for my dad. I was worried about finding a good place that would genuinely care about him and take good care of him. I am not from Tennessee so I had no clue where to start. I googled assisted living facilities and saw the 5 star rave reviews on Windsor Gardens and called right away. With it being a Sunday I was worried I wouldn’t get anyone to help me that day, but not only did they immediately jump in to help setup a meeting but they were all so helpful and nice

My mother was a resident of Windsor Gardens for a year prior to moving her closer to family. She moved into Windsor Gardens in March of 2020 right as the COVID pandemic was gaining steam in the US. Other than doctors appointments I was unable to have physical contact with my mom. Windsor Gardens took great care of her, called me when she got sick (non COVID) and kept us informed. Having a parent with Dementia is hard. Having a parent with Dementia being cared for by Windsor Gardens made it easier.

My dad was there for about 7 years before passing away. The staff was always very kind and he enjoyed being there. The room was just the right size and he had a refrigerator so he could keep his snacks. The meals were well prepared and he enjoyed eating in the dining room. I would recommend Windsor gardens as an assisted living facility.

My Mother has resided at Windsor Gardens for the last 3+ years. In that time, she has developed many friendships and supportive relationships with the staff and the other residents there. The year 2020 has been a challenging one with COVID restrictions and with the progression of my Mother's dementia, but the administration and the staff at WG bent over backwards to accommodate her needs. Windsor Gardens was my Mom's first "home away from home" and my family will always be grateful for the time that she has spent there.

Oh my I can’t say enough good things about EVERYTHING WINDSOR! My mom was there for a little over 2 years. They were so supportive and treated her with such dignity and respect. The facility was always spotless. The activities department was phenomenal.... I really appreciated the open communication between staff and families. The meals and food service was wonderful, very good quality. They offer a variety of nutritious meals and snacks. I couldn’t have been happier having my mom being a part of Windsor Garden’s Family.

Mom moved to Windsor Gardens a year after dad died and remained there the last five years of her life. During her stay she received excellent care appropriate to her continuing physical decline. The care she received was personal and compassionate. A variety of opportunities were provided for her personal and spiritual growth, as well as for her entertainment. We are thankful that mom had Windsor Gardens in which to spend the final years of her life.
