Our initial direction for a small shop was to offer exciting pieces that were not available elsewhere. Some of our favorite work is the jewelry that is designed by artists who favor exotic uses of material, shapes and surfaces. Many of these featured collections echo the feel of nature and found objects.

The market for fine quality craft jewelry has always been well served by shows like the Philadelphia Art Museum Craft Show, Baltimore's American Craft Council show and others in and around the area. The artist's who show there are available in fine galleries across the country. But, they have always been under represented in the Philadelphia area and especially within the city limits.

What a wonderful experience shopping at Marchi jewelry. After doing extensive research, Marchi was on the top of my list to visit. I really appreciated the relaxed no pressure sales experience. My wife and I bought out wedding rings here about 2 years ago and couldn't be happier - he had the best pricing, best personality, and best experience. Something about him was different compared to the other people in Philly, and I would suggest him to anyone. (He also played awesome jazz softly and had a sweet old dog! I hope the dog is doing great). I'll always remember his advice on rings - as context I was debating between different widths (I have large hands and the fingers of a bear). I was torn between two styles- every other jeweler pushed me towards the thicker/larger and more expensive

We had a wonderful experience working with John to design my engagement ring/wedding band set. When we shared our idea with him, John got really excited and started sketching out variations. He was informative, patient and very trustworthy. Buying a ring can be stressful, but not with him at all. He was honest, reliable and his pricing was reasonable. Couldn't recommend him more highly!

We worked with John to design my wife's wedding ring, and it was truly a wonderful experience working with him. We went to a bunch of other and bigger stores before and didn't feel comfortable with most sales folks - they either didn't get what we wanted or just wanted to push us to go with weird "social norms".

The process from start to finish was seamless and most importantly, we trusted John with this priceless heirloom. There was no pressure or sales pitch. He was kind, friendly, and he helped me design a beautiful custom engagement ring. He is quick with the work, communicative, and personally crafts the designs by hand and then by computer design. John is the best jeweler. Period. He made my fiancée and I feel so comfortable and informed. He helped us design the perfect rings and we ADORE them. We get compliments daily. John is not a slimy sales guy either. Some of the other jewelers just felt so car salesman like but not here. My fiancé and I went to Marchi Jewelry to have a vintage diamond set for my engagement ring. I showed John some inspiration pictures and the finished product is better than I had even imagined! It was such a pleasure working with him, we did not feel at all pressured or silly for asking questions. We were pleasantly surprised with the price of the setting as well. I love my ring so much! I went to Marchi after I read all the wonderful and amazing reviews on here! I knew I was in good hands before I even came here. John was nothing but honest and hopeful. I felt nothing but comfort knowing that my ring, which had a dent that I of course could notice - was crooked and was a tad bit big, was in good hands! After dropping if off Tuesday, I came today and my beautiful ring was sparkling! He fixed the problems that I have noticed and also, added little beads to the ring so perfectly, now I have no worries my ring will fall off my finger! I am so very pleased with John's work. This

When thinking about engagement rings earlier this year I felt overwhelmed at the big jewelry stores. I immediately went on Yelp and after reading the reviews knew that Marchi was on the list of places to check out. My fiancée and I had several checklists we needed before picking a place to get an engagement ring from. We needed a flexible payment plan, wanted something designed, and wanted to pay a fair price and not be overcharged for a ring just because it was a "wedding ring." John has done a handful of repairs of fine jewelry for me, including my wedding ring, and they have all come back looking beautiful and brand new! All at a reasonable price too.
He has a beautiful selection of unique pieces. I am a fan of some of his more delicate hand-made gold pieces (various designers). A terrific place to find a gift to be treasured.

John is absolutely amazing. I don't have enough "Thank You's" for him. My fiancé and I found him through Yelp and we are beyond satisfied. The quality, honesty and pricing was astonishing. I made a last minute change to my wedding band and John had no issue changing it for me. When we picked up our rings we were so pleased with the outcome I asked about resetting my engagement ring since it didn't sit flush with the wedding band (engagement ring purchased at a different jeweler BEFORE we found John :/) he had my reset ring within a week and I just picked it up today and

He gave us so much information about various stones and settings, and shared really solid advice about finding a special and unique ring.

I used to work near jeweler's row and despite the big, blingy stores in the area, this one caught my eye. It's smaller but had just what I was looking for. So when my now fiance and I were getting engaged we came here and met John, the owner. He's honest, helpful, knowledgeable, and if he doesn't have it, he can make it/have it made.
Apparently, he is flexible on terms and can turn an order around quickly, says my fiancé.
I LOVE my engagement ring. John will clean it any time I come by, and he does so with a smile.

I'm not sure what more can or needs to be said about Marchi. He is, hands down, the best jeweler I've had the pleasure of working with (and in full disclosure, I don't usually like them).
I went to two other places on Jeweler's row before meeting Marchi. Both places were merchants. Once they heard I had bought a diamond already and was looking for a setting, the tone/level of interest changed and it turned into trying to get me to pick a setting that's the least amount of work for them.
