Belly Deli
Inspired by Vietnamese banh mi, our sammys are made with freshly baked bread from Zingerman's filled with house roasted and grilled meats, pickled daikon and carrots, cucumbers, jalapenos, and cilantro. Our salads are prepared fresh daily with a mix of leafy greens and other fresh toppings. All salads are available with or without meat and are accompanied by our housemade dressings.

Also known as bao, our fluffy buns are steamed and stuffed with your choice of roasted pork belly, fried chicken, or bulgogi beef, along with accompanying veggies and sauces.

What a hidden gem in Ann Arbor. Vietnamese inspired food done right. Their noodle salad is the best version of Bun I've had in Ann Arbor so far, and their Banh Mis are pretty great too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a lunch or dinner.

Pork belly buns are really good. Tad bit expensive but you're in that area so it's to be expected. Wish they had a bigger menu.

They took the buns off the menu. It was really the only reason I came here, they said the website hasn't been updated. Tried the sandwich and it was just okay. Very expensive for what you get, and they also only accept credit or debit which is super inconvenient. I really liked this place and can't figure out for the life of me why they would take the buns off the menu. It seems like whoever is in charge is letting things slip. They should at least update the

Love the Spicy Pork Sammy. Love the Bokum Balls also but they currently aren’t serving those right now because of the pandemic? Not sure why it would make a difference but it’s ok. I’ll still enjoy their other options.

Their spicy Sammy looks good.

No one is answering the phone. It's a Saturday after 2pm. Wouldn't this be a good time to be open for a Korean deli?

A VM to let patrons know what's going on would be nice. I have called some 4 times today.

Looks like they are closed today or more permanently.

I never leave reviews but I enjoyed my experience at Belly Deli. I was actually trying to get subway but they were closed so I decided to give Belly Deli a shot. This place is not a sit down restaurant the menu is very small but the service and the food are great. I didn't know what to order so the girl with the pretty cat eyes was very nice and helpful. I decided to order the noodle salad. The salad was very good I was going to get beef but the girl suggested pork and she was not wrong, the pork was delicious. I will be coming back to try other items on their menu.

The Philly here is fantastic. Been eating here ever since I first starting working in Ann Arbor almost 4 years ago. So happy to know they are still open with everything. I am definitely going to support this awesome little restaurant.

Yum! This sandwich shop has excellent bahn mi. I like the spicy pork sandwich, which isn't crazy spicy. It comes with kimchi that is really delicious. I havent been able to sample everything on the menu because they have had a limited menu during covid. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because they don't always keep enough product. They run out of meat and close early. Other than that, no complaints.

I've lived in Ann Arbor for YEARS -- why did it take me so long to get down here to Belly Deli?! First off, I didn't know they had any vegetarian options so bad on me for not doing my research.

My friend and I stopped in and I was so happy to see they had two tofu options as the protein options to add to their sandwiches, salads or even their bao. They have a soy garlic tofu and a spicy tofu. The spicy one appealed to me so I ordered the stir fry salad with spicy tofu and also got an order of bao with spicy tofu. My friend ordered their spicy tofu sandwich without spicy mayo and it

This place was surprisingly good. It's on South U, and I was expecting it to be another undergrad quick junkfood restaurant. Although it does serve you fast, it does serve yummy food. I got a sammy with garlic tofu, and I absolutely loved it. It's not the typical sandwich but I love the uniqueness and thought it was very delicious.
At first I was going to complain about the cleanliness because the floor was very dirty. But as I was finishing my Sammy, the cashier came out and started to sweep. So they fixed up my only reason to dock a star. Go Belly Deli!

Exceptional taste of fusion! This is the first place I'd go to for sandwiches, and the Bulgogi Sammy tastes super great, can never get enough of that.
Service was very efficient, and the only downside is the space in the store can be quite crammed up.
Highly recommended for sandwich fans.

I could really see myself falling in love with Belly Deli. The problem is that I have to just get over my desire for banh mi like I had in Falls Church, and maybe also the sandwiches from a few places in the SF Bay Area.

This is not that. Yes, it's a fast and casual setting. But this isn't cheap food. It's food made with more creativity and care. And it's certainly not fair to fault Belly Deli for putting its sandwiches on some of the best locally baked bread.

The Zingerman's Bakehouse baguette makes for a hearty and wholesome sandwich, but it's far from typical

Wow! Stopped by Ann Arbor to visit some friends and they took me here. So absolutely delicious! I really wanted to try their spicy pork sandwich, but settled on the famous Bulgogi Beef sandwich instead with a side of the Kimchi Pork Rice balls. It was absolutely amazing! I'm so angry Ann Arbor is over 3 hours away from where I live!
The food was was fresh! Meat, veggies, bread, was all just perfect. Service was fast, and the staff was super great.

If you love Asian/Fusion restaurants, then run -- don't walk -- to check out Belly Deli.

While asking some friends recently what their favorite spots to eat were, one mentioned Belly Deli and described it to me. Located close to campus, it's an area I typically shy away from due to congestion and parking, but I now know it's worth the effort!

I visited recently for lunch. While the setup is ideal for a fast-casual carryout type of place, there is also a large table as well as a bar around the restaurant with barstools for those wanting to stay and eat (like me!)

I love Belly Deli! The menu is small but the flavors are huge. I usually get a chicken sandwich and I am never disappointed. My only disappointment is that I always forget this place is there! (I don't get out to South U area much)

The staff is always friendly and the food is flavorful and delicious. If you haven't tried it yet, you have to. It's a U of M hidden treasure.

Came to Ann Arbor for the U of M Dearborn graduation. We originally wanted to go to a different place but they didn't open until later. We drove past this place and my cousin said she's been here and it's good. So we thought about snacking here. We ended up having a whole layout of food. We kind of went crazy.

I felt bad for the cashier, taking our long list of orders. Note there was 7 of us and a baby. Also they just opened for the day. We ordered almost the entire menu

Thankfully they had a huge table and bar tables for being a tiny place. Quite comfy and roomy though.

I am actually I love with Belly Deli. This is my favorite go-to place whenever I'm in Ann Arbor. I really like its "pick up and go" vibe which is really convenient and doesn't sacrifice the flavor of the food. I'll usually grab one on the way home or as a study snack on campus. There is one long table and bar seating inside if you're interested in eating at the location.

My two favorites here are the pork belly bun and the char su pork belly sammy. I don't think the other meats they offer are as good as the pork; the pork is cooked and seasoned really well. I

Fantastic bulgogi! I had the stir fry with Bulgogi and I was in love. The food is filling and the prices are within range. They are very clean and you can watch them prepare your food. Definitely try their Taro chips, delicious!
