Although therapy involves exploring feelings and beliefs, it is also about making a concrete plan for growth. Your past experiences influence your current thoughts and feelings about your present life circumstances. Dwelling in the past, however, is never the goal of therapy. The Russian philosopher, G.I. Gurdjieff said, "If you wish to get out of prison, the first thing you must do is realize that you are in prison."
By Jennifer Rego, MSW, LICSW In previous articles we discussed personal growth and challenges during the pandemic. But, it's also important to look at how this time has impacted our most intimate relationships. If you are coupled or otherwise partnered, it is important to reflect on your relationship - especially in times of significant change.
If you answered Yes to five or more of the above, you may very likely be suffering from depression. Yet 80% of depressed individuals are not receiving treatment, and likely don't even realize they are depressed. Depressed individuals commonly report a general lack of energy or motivation, along with significant changes in eating and/or sleeping patterns.
Anxiety and/or worry about a number of events, such as work, financial matters, school performance, etc. If you answered Yes to three or more of the above, you may be suffering from generalized anxiety. Individuals suffering from anxiety are 3-5 times more likely to go to the doctor, as anxiety often mimics physical illness.

I worked with Betsy in the office to get a counselor for my mother after the death of my father. Betsy bent over backwards to find the perfect counselor for her. Diane Williams was awesome. She is compassionate and helpful. These people are a gift from God. Our thanks to both Betsy and Diane for all that you do!

In a very short time I have built my trust in Steve Reedy and his professionalism, wisdom, and knowledge. Steve's ability to understand and know his patient was above expectations. He has helped me through a breakdown that at first I thought of as a Stigma and now know ways to improve myself through proven methods backed by science and experiments. Steve has provided great exercises that worked some miracles and if continued to be practice at home, therewas further release of anxiety and increased joy. Thanks Steve

Steve is an amazing therapist and does a great job of actively listening during his sessions. I appreciated his ability to be objective and direct about the issues identified during our sessions. As a therapist, I believe he works best with individuals who are self reflective and actually ready to do the work to make change and bring about growth. I've also recommended him to friends who appreciated his candor and left feeling like they had made significant traction that they hadn't experienced with other therapists.

I have had an excellent experience with Steve Reedy. What initially began as couples' therapy transitioned into personal therapy that helped me address deep-seated issues that have negatively impacted my life for many years. Steve wasn't confrontational and didn't lecture me what my issues were. Instead, he helped lead me until I had those "ah ha" moments of self discovery. As a result of Steve''s counseling, I have a whole new, positive attitude about myself, which has changed the way I interact with others as well. Pursuing counseling with Steve has been one of the most rewarding experiences

"I've known James Robbins for many years. I've always known him to be a person of high integrity, honesty and compassion. Being a therapist isn't just a job for James, but a calling, Who he is as a therapist is who he is as a person. He's never been one to "fake" things. He's sincere in his concern for his patients, and invests 100% in their getting better. I've heard James say he learns from his clients, just as they learn from him, and I know how important it is for him to always be improving as a therapist. He's not one to condescend or judge, as he feels people are doing the best they can in

I have been a client of both James and Heather Robbins for 4 years now. Initially, I sought therapy to address a difficult situation at the time. However, my experience was so positive that I have continued on as a client. I would say that without a doubt the advice and council I have received has improved the quality of my life significantly. James and Heather have a demeanor and style that is extremely versatile and appealing to all. In fact, when I got engaged I encouraged my fiance start seeing James. My fiance was not a believer in therapy and had never been to see a psychologist before. He
