My background as a competitive athlete introduced me to the world of sports medicine and how nutrition impacts performance. I have been seeing Dr. Elena for the last 3 years and it's truly been life changing! I first saw her for nerve pain I'd been experiencing in my shoulder for several years. I had previously tried acupuncture, massage, seen a chiropractor and even tried steroid injections - nothing worked. Last year I began to experience autoimmune symptoms. Dr. Elena Zinkov sent me to get the right blood tests and she was able to narrow down the cause of my pain and swelling immediately. She was proactive in following up and checking in with me after we adjusted my diet. Soon after, I began to get IV therapy every other week and this has made a huge difference in my recovery. I'm working with Dr. Zinkov to tackle my chronic back pain along with my plantar fasciitis of 2 years. She met with me to first explore all other possible options, being considerate of insurance coverage etc. When all other options failed we started treatment, and at 5 treatments in my pain has gone down significantly. I was referred to Dr. Elena from my ND for IV infusions to boost my immune system. I have a lot going on - hypothyroidism, hormone imbalances, persistently high Epstein-Barr lab values, low immune system lab values and more.
