Haven't used this service in a very long time, was traveling out of town for a trip home on Christmas Day and no Uber or Lyft was available but was excited that yellow cab was available to pick me up. This was Christmas morning and I was excited about my trip back to my hometown., but that was quickly ruined by the driver. When I came to the car he wouldn't open the door , I assume it's because I'm African American, He slightly rolled down the window and asked if this cab was for me. I said yes , He looked at me for a minute as if he was trying to decide whether or not to open

I booked a pick up for 4:30 in the morning over the phone last night. Got confirmation and went to sleep. I waited outside 15 min advance. 4:40, they weren’t there so I called and waited on hold for 15min to have the call dropped by the machine. 4:55 still no taxi. Luckily Uber is almost here. Unreliable.. It’s no wonder they’re losing their business to Uber

USE UBER - DO NOT USE - WORST SERVICE EVER. Made a reservation the night before. Told driver will call 5 minutes before. 5 minutes after the appointed time, called and was told they still had not identified my driver. Told to wait 20 minutes. They cancelled the call with driver an hour after the scheduled time. Do not use. Terrible service. Terrible planning.

Flight got cancelled and had to find ride to hotel with voucher at 0100 got denied twice by rude drivers. 3 hours later got a ride back to airport with another group and driver took off with my suitcase still in trunk. very difficult to get ahold of anyone and weeks later want me to pay to get my bag back! Asked for supervisor and have no response to date. Absolutely horrid customer service and no complaint line that I can find.

Car was clean. Driver was courteous. I appreciated that. Clean car, courteous driver will always earn a big tip from me! 💕 P.S. The ad shows a driver who shows up in a suit and opens the door for you. Not true. Thats just marketing. ❤ One more thing. I think Uber and Lyft has pretty much ruined the taxi business. Its not what it use to be and the money isn't the same anymore.

Me and my coworker used this service today to get from the hotel to our airport. Uber was unavailable so we had to use Yellow Cab. It's been a long while since I used a cab. The price was a bit expensive but not the worst in the world compared to a ride share.
Our issue was the driver and the vehicle. The driver was falling asleep behind the wheel, the vehicles engine was dying. There were times where the taxi was shaking and we'd be going from 65 to 45 mph randomly. The worst part was after we got dropped off at the airport. The vehicle ran out of gas. I made an appointment the night before for a cab to get my 18 year old son from his hotel to the airport at 4:30am... cab never showed up. When I called they said waiting on a driver with no idea on estimated time. they were not even in route yet! Thankfully the hotel called their shuttle driver in early to take him... he would have missed his plane! They never called him to give him any idea that the cab would be late and that he needed to make other arrangements.

Not a fan. Tried to go from one downtown hotel to another downtown hotel. Should have been a $5 ride. Driver not willing to take me unless I agreed to $20 off meter then lectured me on how because "people like me" were using Uber so much, cabbies have to resort to this style negotiation to make a living. Way to make it even less attractive to try a cab!

I'm only giving Yellow Cab a 1 star because Yelp doesn't give the ability to do negative numbers.
I had a 5:15 am Friday flight out of DFW and booked a Yellow cab the night before. Received confirmation via text. Great right? Wrong. Car was scheduled to arrive at 3:40 am. At 3:39 I called to see where ride was and the operator stated that the driver was 25 minutes away. That is also what their handy dandy app said also for the last 20 minutes. I asked for another driver and they had no one near. They offered no help or resolution only "driver is 25 minutes away".

I was in Dallas on a business trip for two days. I didn't have a rental car and asked the hotel for assistance since they did not offer shuttle service. They called Yellow Cab for me. The first day was fine. I had a cab driver take me to my place of business which was four minutes away and pick me up. Took Yellow Cab with a friend who was in town due to avoiding Uber's surge pricing. The driver gave us a quote of approximately how much it would be, and said that he would add in the cost of tolls. When he started to drive, he did not turn on the meter until my friend asked him to.
It turned out the actual fare was cheaper than the quote. If you call them, make sure that they turn on the meter.
