I had a 9am appointment this morning, met the new staff and Dr. Emer. I've been a patient at Picketts Mill Dental Care for about 3 years, initially with Dr. Sam, who I loved. I give one star because Dr. Emer seemed to be a very nice Dentist, great personality. I left this practice extremely upset, frustrated and humiliated! This is how my visit went that led me to a horrible place when I left:
First, I was informed that my insurance was cancelled effective November 2021

BEWARE! This is the worse experience I have had a Dentist office. They are very expensive and NOT very forthcoming with their billing. Just be careful and make sure they are in your network. My daughter and I had a scaling & x rays done and they charged close to 3K not including what my insurance paid. Total ripoff. Go somewhere else.

Hands Down the worst dentist I have ever been to! My daughter who is 15 and has braces was told that she needed the wires removed from her braces and needed a deep cleaning. She sees her orthodontist every 6 weeks and has never been recommended for a deep cleaning. The Hygienist told my daughter that they will proceed with the cleaning and and tell me about the cost of the procedure after it has been done. THAT IS NOT OK!! Thankfully my 15 year old was smart enough to stop and text me while I was waiting in the parking lot! Beware!
