Winnarainbow is a socially minded, justice focused organization founded by Hippy Icon, Flower Geezer, Poet, Activist Wavy Gravy in 1975. Wavy was later joined by his wife Jahanara, who has been a very important part of creating who we are as a Camp Winnarainbow community.
Utilizing all the ideals and teachings they learned through traveling the world, being a part of their Hog Farm community, and their devotion to "do something good for a change", the philosophies and values of Camp Winnarainbow were created.Through the years our culture and traditions have been created from the inspiration and ingenuity of the staff and campers who have become the Winnarainbow community.

For over 40 years, kids, teens and adults have run away to join our circus in beautiful Mendocino County. Drawing from our knowledge of the Arts as well as how to build strong community, our well trained staff teaches timing, balance and as Wavy Gravy says, Survival in the 21st century or how to duck with a sense of humor and a dollop of compassion.
Jahanara has worked hard for over 40 years in screening and hiring all of our staff every summer. In her mentorship and training of me she emphasized "we are taking care of other people's children and that is a very big responsibiilty and honor". Sending your camper to live with us for 2 weeks is a big decision for families.
Winnarainbow Kids Camp is a unique overnight camp for kids ages 7 - 14 that provides a multitude of activities focused on the Arts as well as time in Nature, creating community and having BIG FUN. Check out our Teen Leadership Program for youth ages 15 - 17! When kids come to Winnarainbow they are given the chance to follow their hearts and choose their adventure.
There's a lot of work to do right now on this planet to support our generations. For over 20 years one of our main goals in our youth leadership program has been to ensure that our youth leaders have a relevant, fun, experiential and creative environment to gain and practice the skills they need in this complex world.

If I could give this a billion stars I would give it ten billion I have been going to camp Winnarainbow since I was 6 and every time I go I have the best time it was cancelled in 2020 and my heart was broken this place is a place of fun, kind people and the activities are so surreal making it feel you are in a real circus traveling the world and making people amazed. I recommend this to anyone who likes fun circus and theater. Camp Winnarainbow has something for anyone active! They even have a basketball court! The food is amazing and we even had brownies with wasabi and it was delicious. Nothing

Amazing. Truly magical. Even though I did not stay at the camp myself, in only a couple hours did I experience an adventure of a lifetime. The performances? Just wow. I envy all the kids that have such an amazing time. Camp Winnarainbow is perfect for chil who enjoy a good ol' hard working fun vacation with no parents. I guarantee your kid will love it just as much as I do.

LOVE this camp! I am going there for the 3rd time this July(7/23/2018). I suggest send ur kids there because they can have a taste of whatever they want! It is a fun 2 weeks of doing different activities like stilts, silks, ariels and gymnastics/acrobatics, unicycling, juggling, tight roping, and much more. There are showers and a big lake for your child to swim in.

I went there once and it was like a second home. I started when I was 7; I have been going every summer ever since. It is run by famous Wavy Gravy and is totally worth the price. It teaches self-confidence and pride. Please, please, please share this camp to someone who might be interested. Please go to Camp Winnarainbow. I can't stress enough how much this camp means to me.
