Acteeva Day Camp contains the quality and expertise that has distinguished Roughing It Day Camp and the Roughing It Family of Camps since 1972. 1-week outdoor camp experience in the familiar surroundings of our school site. Skill-based learning is incorporated into each of our four main program areas: sports, outdoor & camping skills, arts and crafts, and nature.
Choose from 25 activities offered each day. By selecting their activities for themselves, Acteeva gives campers the opportunity to shape their own camp experience. Campers make lots of new friends, and our caring adult staff help and everyone succeed.

Acteeva Day Camp nurtures the whole child through high quality one week day camp programs at a local, safe, and convenient location in Lafayette. Acteeva offers the unique opportunity for campers K-5th grade to customize their camp experience! A huge array of activities to choose from allows campers to explore their own interests and develop new skills.

Our unique customizable one week program allows campers entering K- 5th grade to choose from a huge variety of activities. With over 80 years of experience in camp programming, you can be assured that we know how to provide an exceptionally fun, safe and quality summer experience.
Ann and Hobie Woods met as counselors at Kennolyn Camp in 1965. Their dream of owning and directing a summer camp became a reality in 1972 with the opening of Roughing It Day Camp. Together Ann and Hobie have 80 years of combined experience in organized summer camps and youth leadership. We are excited to introduce our newest program in the Roughing It Family of Day Camps- Acteeva Day Camp!
With over 80 years of experience, our owners and operators Ann and Hobie Woods know it takes exceptional staff to run an exceptional camp! Our quality staff is selected based on their interest and experience working with children, positive attitude, maturity, friendliness, character, leadership qualities, and love of children and the outdoors.
CampPlus is our after camp extended care program. It is opened to all campers attending any of our MiniCamps -- HorseMiniCamp, Ranch MiniCamp, Outdoor Explorers and Acteeva. CampPlus takes place at the Lafayette Reservoir. Pick-up: Campers can be picked up at the reservoir or ride a bus that will drop them off at a central spot.
