Loved my service with Rebecca!! I hate going to get haircuts due to previous experiences at other salons that ended up cutting my hair way too short for my liking. After 2 years of not getting a hair cut I finally decided it was time to cut the dead ends off. Rebecca listened to my concerns and gave me wonderful suggestion. I felt at ease and that my hair was in great hands. I loved how my hair turned out and can’t wait to come back!

I am giving 3 starts just because of the receptionist, Ariana. She is very rude. She also lies to you when talking over the phone. Other than that this place is amazing and Cory is awesome!

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it! Everyone is so kind and friendly and the atmosphere is always nice and chill. I get my hair done by Kelsey and she always does an amazing job! I always leave happy and feeling refreshed! I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I asked the stylist not to do 4 things to my hair (I.e. Do not cut layers, do not cut bangs, etc. Etc. Instead of listening to me, she talked over me and proceeded to do the very things I specifically asked her not to do. Also though the salon is pretty and could be serene, the acoustics & noise level are so high it can give you a headache. Won't return. Do not recommend.

Becca is the best massage therapist! I did the 90 min therapeutic massage and she was so intuitive with the right amount of pressure on all the sore spots. She really listened to what I said about the part of my body that hurts the most and told me what she was going to work on so the commutation was good. It was great because I could feel my muscles relaxing with the firm pressure but without being too painful or uncomfortable. She wore a mask so all the Covid-19 guidelines were followed and the spa is very clean. I felt great now several days later so the massage had a really lasting effect.

I have been having monthly pedicures with Tiffany for well over 10 years, and I won't go anywhere else. She is absolutely the best! She always makes sure I am comfortable, asks if I want the chair massager on, and (before the pandemic!) asked me if I want a warm neck wrap or something to drink. The products she uses for my pedis are of the highest quality, and my pedicures always look fabulous and keep looking great until my next appointment. I am very happy with the way I am greeted at the front desk, the staff at L'essence are the best at customer service. I am so satisfied with L'essence that

So I scheduled a next day appt with Lauren bc she had an opening for partial highlights. I already had placed a couple random highlights in my hair bc im a hot mess like that. She didnt even say a word bc shes so classy! I had some box dye in my hair already-I know hairdressers hate that but Lauren was so chill. My hair turned out sooooo pretty. Im sure i had 2 shades due to the grow out of the dye and she really did a great job toning it. It looks so pretty!!

I moved here to Reno from the Bay Area about 2 years ago and have yet to find a hairstylist that I wanted to go to, so I started just cutting my own hair. I decided I wanted to treat myself and go get pampered. I chose this Salon after finding Rebecca's Instagram page and falling in love with her work! I was a little scared at first as I've never dyed my hair before, and I really wanted to add some highlights. She took such great care of me and now I don't think I'll trust anyone else with my hair! She cut and dyed my hair exactly how I wanted it, and styled it to perfection

I went in for a trim and Lauren did such an amazing job. I’m always a little lost with what to do with my hair and she didn’t hesitant to help me make decisions on what would look best on me. Also, the blow-dry hairstyling she ended with made my fiancé’s jaw-drop when he saw me (from just a small haircut and blow dry!).
Also, the salon itself was very clean, professional, organized and had a beautiful atmosphere. I’m 100% making this my go-to place for haircuts in the future.

This salon is amazing!! The front desk staff is always warm and welcoming. Van does my new growth touch up which is a bleach and tone and she does a marvelous job! I have healthy blonde hair with no bands or breakage! She is also a really grey hair cutter!
I also enjoy having facials Rachelle! She is very knowledgeable about skincare.
Also 10/10 on the covid precautions. Everyone is wearing a mask and sanitizing everything between other clients. I feel safe and excited everytime I have a service here. Thank you L'essence!!

lia OTC hair dye. It was falling out, dry and a gothic plum color (was in a mood). I needed help but knew my fine hair is very sensitive to certain dye products. Jessica has not only removed the dark black plum color but brought my hair back to health. It has since filled in the bald spots, and has grown over 8 inches. I highly recommend this salon services (I have enjoyed many) and its enriching line of Aveda products! Great place to get pampered!

Maureen did a fabulous job on my asymmetrical short hair bringing extra texture and angular cuts that I never would've even thought to ask for. Not only is she excellent at her craft, she is a sheer delight of personality, sense of humor, practicality, kindness, generosity... I expect to be seeing Maureen for many years to come

This is a lovely salon located in a cute house on the corner of Liberty and Flint Street by the art museum. If you are looking for a classy experience with a sassy and well-versed hairdresser, request an appointment with Nikki Cimino! She gave me some bangin' bangs last I saw her. Her previous training and work in San Fran has given her an extra edge in Reno, and she is actively involved in furthering her education by attending seminars and workshops.

Once again Mo gives it her all in terms of quality and energy. She made sure I did not leave until my hair shined with beauty and life. I'm considering a radical change and letting it go gray naturally but we are playing with transitions and light and shading and I feel glorious! Every time I walk through the doors of L'essence I am transported to a lush and serene space that lets me plan to be who I most want to be! Thank you!
