Our Cajun grill began the old-fashioned way: in our backyards. We love soul food, and we love our mix of Cajun and Asian cooking. Everything started when our group of friends and family would get together and cook up new favorites on the grill. Eventually, we realized that we couldn't keep our recipes to ourselves.

I have been to Backyard Bayou several time and the quality of the food and customer service is always inviting and tasteful. To all my Seafood lover and those sitting on the fence about seafood, I can assure you that you will have a good time with Backyard Bayou @White Rd, San Jose. Please don't walk through that menu by yourself, the waiter will guide you to a better choice of your taste. Hey, FYI no Kid's menu, you will have to built it yourself. "Me" I am terrible with menu, I always eat the same stuff every time I go there, please see pictures and receipt of what I ate. Thanks and happy holidays

Traveled all the way from Sonoma County for this. Worth it! For appetizers we had the calamari and garlic noodles with shrimp, I couldn't believe how good it was. For drinks we had Soju Mojito (WOW) and Sake Margherita (YUM). finally we ordered the family bucket with king crab legs, while we only got 1 leg it was definitely full of meat. The sauce was the backyard one spicy level Hot one below the hottest level but that was more than enough still edible though and so good!!! Will be going back.

This place was amazingly delicious. Must admit we were devoted patrons of The Boiling Crab… after continuously seeing The Backyard Bayou we finally decided to check it out. Let me tell you we are forever going… to keep coming back! This place has the best portions and flavor! The flavor was beyond amazing! The service and aesthetic of this place was awesome. Huge portions for affordable prices. Thank you for your great food and service!

After surfing Grubhub delivery for crab, BACKYARD BAYOU stood out. After calling in to confirm details of the overall order, Mr Tom was very encouraging to invite me in to experience the atmosphere (very spacious and and fits the vibe) After the explosion of flavor in every aspect the food, my family and I are so impressed with curbside pick up service! We will definitely return for the dine in experience!!!

I'm not a fan of the whole "seafood in a bag" craze, but reading a few of BB's recent reviews, I felt it was time to give them a go! The atmosphere immaculate and spacious, and their staff made sure we were seated at least ten feet away from the nearest guest. Each staff member was friendly and attentive but, our server Derek was phenomenal! He knew everything there was to know about their menu, and he provided us we very accurate feedback on everything we decided to order.

The food was so flavorful and rich. I only had a few bites and I was full. We got the shrimp po boy, lobster mac and cheese, which only had 2 pieces of lobster on top, the shrimp boil with cajun sauce, which was delicious and spicy. One pound of shrimp is plenty for a group of 3 or 4. The calamari was nice and crispy. Overall, the food was good and I would eat here again.
