HOUSTON, TX - MechCorps' next stop for 2021 will be the Houston Arcade Expo! Arcade Expo is a great event in which collectors bring in hundreds of arcade and pinball games from decades long past. These games will range from common machines like Galaga or Pac-Man, all the way to extremely rare pieces.
The Galveston Convention Center will be one of the largest collection of electronic gaming on the Gulf Coast. Panels and free play games will be put on by some of the top talent from the electronic gaming industry will be on hand to provide fans a fantastic experience.

We were informed by DragonCon that the entire East Hall of AmericasMart building 1, floor 2, (where our pods have been stationed since 2016) is under renovations and there is no room for us to set up and run the pods. DragonCon sends their regrets, but has invited us back for 2022, so this is not the end of the pods in Atlanta, GA.
Making up for lost time, Comicpalooza welcomes fans back after a year off and will be sparing no expense in reminding fans why they are a premiere convention in Houston. All the nerdy fun you can handle will be had at Comicpalooza! Also returning from a year off will be MechCorps and giant robot battles!
The stars will be not only in the skies but also aboard the station and mingling with those who are here so you wont want to miss this event. Rare goods from all over the galaxy will be available for the discerning bargain hunter to find and for trade. Fans will be able to enjoy games, food and entertainment brought in from all corners of the empire so citizens will be able to enjoy the absolute best in fun and leisure!

Nostalgia made better, i played the old Virtual World Battle tech system before they sold off and never got to play the Tesla, this place has really maintained the pods amazingly well for being 1990 tech, everything works, my kids even were amazed at the quality of tye graphics, the prices are the same as the old first version, the staff are great, it looks small but the major fun is the tactical laser tag, the area is really good sized and they actually play scenario games.

A fantastic gaming experience, full of super friendly and welcoming people. The MechWarrior pods give you a unique immersive experience and it's huge fun to stomp around piloting a gigantic mech full of lasers and missiles. Thoroughly recommended, I'm really glad we made the drive down here from Dallas.

My sons and I have been playing for about 15 years. It never gets old. The crew always mix it up and make it interesting, and yet still make sure that the newbies have a game they can engage in and have a great time.
The crew love what they do, and their dedication and passion for the game make for the best experience going.

My first time coming to this place and I really enjoyed it. While I'm not a hardcore fan of big, stompy robots, the gameplay here was very good and it was a fun time enjoying some fun time competition with others. The staff is very friendly and casual. The shop can be a little cramped but that doesn't take away from the enjoyment. There is also a restaurant in the same shopping center called Husky's that offers some good eats. I will definitely come back in the future.

This is a must visit for fans of the Mech Warrior and Battletech games. Robot battles are so much more fun in the fully-immersive simulator pods. All-you-can-play game nights are on most Saturdays (unless they are at a convention). The schedule is posted on the website.
This is also a super awesome place for parties. We had my son's birthday party here and everyone loved it! The best part is that it is a per hour rate instead of the per person rate most other places charge. So, you don't have to worry if more guests arrive than anticipated.

Much better than the old venue! No exhaust fumes or brake dust, just working air conditioning and pods ready to play!
I'm there once every other week or so, and it's always a good time.
The staff is willing to accomodate most gameplay requests (within reason, there's limits to what they can do), and can even have multiple groups in different games going simultaneously.
If you and your friends are looking for something to do on a Friday or Saturday night, this is a fantastic choice. Good fun, and there's good food and drinks close by.
