Tickets are on sale now for the ballet, performed by the dancers of Southern California Ballet. This is a limited-capacity outdoor event with socially-distanced pod seating. Because ballet is not a one-size-fits-all, we want to have a conversation to ensure you or your child are attending the right dance classes for age and skill level.

The ballet world is increasingly moving in the direction of a competitive sports culture and forgetting its roots as an artistic endeavor. Ballet (and dance in general) has always walked a fine line between athletics and art, but in today's society, with an increasing want and need for measurable success, the athletic side of ballet is overshadowing the artistic.
Southern California Ballet's system of training aims to provide students with a foundation which will empower them to enter the professional & university dance worlds, should they aspire to do so.
Drawing on the professional experience of Southern California Ballet's artistic directors and faculty, their mentors, and the Cecchetti method, SCB's training method was designed to bring transparency and objectivity to ballet education through an updated assessment process, the creation of a progressive syllabus to foster progress in-line with international standards in the dance world, and the inclusion of modern anatomy and movement science in the broader curriculum.
