Jane Hammond Events provides full service catering and event planning services for corporate and large private events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. For over 40 years we have specialized in cooking with the finest and freshest ingredients, innovative menus and excellent service. Our chefs are passionate about the use of local and sustainable products.
Jane Hammond Events is renowned for the extraordinary food that our chefs create. Our production facilities are situated south of Market, in the heart of the produce and food markets of San Francisco. The Bay Area with its many sustainably run farms and purveyors, provides a fantastic array of seasonal ingredients which is reflected in the variety and diversity of our menus.
Jane Hammond Events offers an almost unlimited menu selection. Our chefs are extremely talented, and enjoy creating customized menus to suit your event and tastes. We do cook seasonally, and with the most responsibly sourced ingredients that we can find. Please look at some of our menu items, but know that this is just a sampling of what we can create.
We can complement our salads with seared ahi, beef carpaccio, sliced tea smoked duck breast, composed grilled vegetables, seared scallops, grilled prawns, spinach and feta pastries, parmesan twists and more. We also make salads with lentils, white beans, quinoa, wild rice, new potatoes, orzo, and an almost unlimited combination of vegetables, fruits and grains.
Our chefs are always experimenting with desserts. We try new presentations such as little shooter glasses, tiny spoons, martini glasses, trios of mini desserts and more. The fruits in season will often determine the dessert choice - pluots, strawberries, summer stone fruits, fresh raspberries in summer - citrus, kiwis, persimmons and blackberries in the cooler months.

My husband and I recently attended a party planned by JH Events, and it was great. The food was delicious, the drinks were on point, and most importantly the staff were just lovely, down to one of them seeking me out with a tray of appetizers because her colleague knew I wanted to try the ricotta-stuffed squash blossoms. My fiance and I were planning to get married in August 2019. We faced a number of blunders along the way, and Jane and her team were there with us every step of the way to help us navigate various crises. First, our original venue (the Bently Reserve) unexpectedly canceled all weddings on their books, including our wedding, which was six months ahead of our date. Jane Hammond and her crew put together a fabulous, thoughtful, and pandemic compliant community event last month which was a much welcome diversion while sheltering in place. Equipped with masks, gloves, and music, Jane's "Oyster Night" provided many of us in the local community, a medley of delicious oysters, tasty mignonette, beautiful flower arrangements and champagne to enjoy in the comfort of our own homes. If I could give Jane Hammond Events 6 stars, I would! As someone who has to plan big corporate events, I feel very fortunate to have Amy Trapp and the entire Jane Hammond Events team behind me. They are amazing executors and can essentially bring anything you want to life.
I've worked with Amy for two years in a row, the first party with 350 guests and the most recent party with 800 guests. Both events, different in scale and theme, were executed so well by the team and had rave reviews from the guests. The quality of their food is off the CHARTS and is always a highlight for the guests

This marvelous crew made my dear friend's 70th birthday even more special with their friendly, engaging staff, impeccable service, and some of the best hors d'oeuvres I've ever tasted. From the first delicious nibble to a sumptuous dinner and a final, endless dessert, every bite had me salivating like Pavlov's dog. As a first time planner, there was a lot of stress around throwing my company's 350 person corporate party. Once Jane and Amy came into the picture, everything got easier. My only regret is not involving them sooner. At first, I was relying on them for food and drinks, but they brought so much more to the table. Their setup and execution far exceeded my expectations. On the day of the event they coordinated with all the other vendors and solved any unanticipated issues which allowed me to relax, let go and enjoy the event. They'll be my go-to for future events.

I was surprised when Jane answered the phone herself, and even more surprised and delighted by our conversation. It quickly became clear that the catering budget for our non-profit fundraising event would not be sufficient for the top-drawer, full service catering that Jane Hammond Events provides. However, Jane took ample time to talk over my my event, and to provide six references that would be more in alignment with my needs.

I could go on and on about how fantastic Jane Hammond and her team are. This winter Jane Hammond Events coordinated our holiday party at the SF MOMA and truly made our vision come alive.
Working very closely with Ceanna, she really listened to all of our requests and was happy to offer suggestions and alternatives.
The food was spectacular. They were willing to accommodate each and every dietary restriction and request we made without question.

I got married at the Asian Art Museum in November 2017 and Jane Hammond was our caterer. When my wife and I booked the venue, we were given a list of nine approved caterers to choose. Because the caterer accounts for a large part of the wedding cost, I did extensive research before ultimately choosing Jane Hammond. I contacted all nine caterers and Jane Hammond was the only one that stood out to me as it was the only caterer which I spoke directly to the owner. This review is long overdue! I booked Jane Hammond Events to cater my company's 10 year anniversary party at SF MOMA. I initially reached out to a dozen different catering companies but found that Jane Hammond Events truly saw our vision and had an excellent menu.
As someone who does event planning, I am extremely picky and have high standards. Amy Trapp was the lead for our event and she executed flawlessly. Everything looked absolutely stunning when I arrived and they even made sure I always had glass of champagne in my hand! It was a treat to enjoy the event knowing it was in good hands

I worked primarily with Amy but her and her team were phenomenal. We had a very important private event for a high level audience and a very short time frame. Amy brought great experience to coordinate the project and a vision to help us ensure that we were in good hands; and it could not have been any more true. The JHE team can bring it all when it comes to appetizers or bar/refreshments. No detail was overlooked. The JHE team- every single person was professional, kind and attentive. They made us and our wedding guest feel like VIP. Anything we needed, they were on it. Ceanna even came to our rehearsal dinner to do a walkthrough with everyone. She is the best.
