Founded in 2014, Mobile Bicycle Workshop is a premier full-service solar powered cycling sales and service center operating in and around Austin, Texas. We operate an oversized mobile workshop fully stocked with the same great specialty tools, brand name service parts, upgrades and accessories you'd expect to find at your local bike shop.
Our Owner/Operator has worked in the bicycle industry since 2005 and is a current member of the Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association. Our Operations Manager is a veteran mechanic with over 18 years experience managing shops throughout the country. Community focused, we strive to ensure that our clients receive the best value and professional tuning services in the cycling industry.

Services
Beginning this December, we'll kick off the season with our Introduction to Bicycle Maintenance class, adapted from an established professional curriculum. This class will run approximately 3 hours, with 2.5 hours of instruction time. It will include informative lecture, hands on demonstrations, and offer incentivized pricing for our students on tools and shop supplies.

Note: If you're doing some googling you'll think this business is near the Town Lake trail but it's actually at 5th and Tillery.
I had a bike with a badly out of whack rear wheel, I scheduled an appointment and honestly wasn't sure if it was repairable. (I don't remember his name...) The owner wasn't sure either but he gave it a try and half and hour later my wheel was good! I was super happy.
This is a good alternative while the brick and mortar shops are slammed selling bikes to covid bored folks. I would use them again if I needed a fix quick.

Just got my bike fixed up here, and it rode off in great shape. Service was quick and priced fairly. Very easy-going and honest customer service. He called during the repair to make sure I was okay with an additional part replacement before he did it. Will be back again and would definitely recommend.

Matt delivered and set up a spin bike in our home that we purchased from Zen Ride, my former spin studio that closed here in Fairfield. He had serviced the bikes at the studio since it opened 4+ years ago. His communication was great, showed up on time with a smile and got the job done. We wanted to have an iPad accessory installed. Originally reached out to Matt to do a tune up on my new bike. Appointment process was simple and Matt spent a lot of time with me making sure the bike fit me and was working well. Since then I have been back to have parts upgraded as the original ones wore out or failed. Each time Matt has been extremely accommodating and spent the time to… answer all my questions and to make recommendations. His prices are fair and the turn around time is quick. He will definitely be the only person to work on my bike going forward. He truly cares about his craft and it shows. Highly recommended!

I own in Newtown and have Matt servicing our 33 Schwinn A.C. Performance Plus Indoor bikes. I will self-admittedly say that I'm not one who knows the inner workings of the bikes and fixing even some small problems, but ever since Matt became our servicer, I feel so secure with how in-depth he goes with our quarterly service program AND… any one-off problems that may come up that I am unsure how to solve. He is readily available for questions/concerns and is not one to frivolously spend your money and will do whatever he can to fix something or get a part for the most cost effective solution
