Dragon Express

Always loved Chinese food. We had it at least a few times each week when I was growing up in Metro Detroit. I have walked by Dragon Express many times when I run up to Target, finally tried it last night. We picked up the sweet and sour chicken, Orange chicken, some soup (for my husband). I requested the brown rice to replace the white. I wish they would mix the sweet and sour sauce into the chicken but I guess providing it to you in a container to pour over when you get home, is how it’s done for carry out. I think after tasting both, I prefer the orange chicken because of it’s texture.
Overall

We have been ordering from here since before the current owners and while the food has been consistently good with nice portions and hot when we get it from both owners, the new owners and their online ordering system is so flawed that it makes you want to go somewhere else.
The last 3 or 4 times we have ordered online when we show up to pick up our order it is the same story " we just got your order" and when you show them proof you ordered it more than 30 minutes ago she always has some excuse, finds a way to blame others.
Why bother to offer online order ahead service if it does not

Used to be decent Chinese takeout but now just gross low grade poorly cooked food. I would feed my dog this but not myself.
Rice is dry chicken over cooked, soup tastes like dirty salted water. Yuck! Skip this place.

General chicken, large egg drop and large wonton soup. 15 minutes from call to pick up. $22. I have order from here for years and it’s alway good.

Well, it's good and tastes never changed. I ordered sesame chicken, and still, it was delicious! The lo mein shrimp is so so, it's not that warm though, and noodles were not that soft as well. Good thing we ordered a small one.

I was very impressed! Food was great. Great price. Loved the Egg Rolls and Dumplings.

I ordered from this place and got home started eating and me and my fiancé noticed that the chicken was bloody smh the man was very rushy and rude !!!! I am beyond disappointed.

Living on the other side of the lake, I don’t get to order from Dragon Express as much as I’d like to. Their food is always fresh, the shrimp is delicious and their sauces are the best.

This place is under new ownership and the food quality is amazing. I would highly recommend this place

Dragon Express is good food, decent portions and fair pricing.
Sesame chicken - perfect
Chicken fried rice - perfect
Beef with Broccoli- very good
Vegetable fried rice - meh. Really not much flavor.
Couple of egg rolls as an extra treat- good
So overall I would go back again.
No oily after taste.

i love the food, it's sooooo goood. I usually get a plain lo mein with chili oil. i've been eating here for years, since i was about 5. my entire family loves it. the fried rice is really good, along with their other menu options.

No Fear of this Dragon!
There is that tiny Chinese restaurant right in the middle of Northcross Shopping Center in Huntersville and they make a superdelicious Hot and Sour Soup, probably the best in town!
We had no chance to try some of their other meals so far but my wife always willingly accepts the drive from our Charlotte residence to buy her favorite soup from Ms Katy's Dragon Express.
Swift, friendly service in a clean environment comes together with a sweet smile from Katy, the lovely restaurant owner.

They've redone the whole place and it's so gorgeous! Everything is more modern and the customer service is amazing. The food is amazing, I love the egg drop soup. Every time I order it, it's always steaming hot and so are the chicken wings. They're awesome and I never have any complications with my order. There's always a smile on their face and everyone's just so nice.

The food is terrible and not fresh! It was definitely frozen and microwaved. I was trying this spot for the first time so I ordered a few dishes... they were all so disgusting we threw all of the food out! I've never done that before but I honestly felt like the food was old and we could get sick. Shame on the owners for serving awful food and calling it Chinese. I wouldn't serve anything from here to my dog.

I wouldn't even give this food to my dog. That's all you need to know. It's horrible and you will get sick and have diarrhea for days. Goodbye

Quick and easy. Menu is normal takeout. Fried rice was not really good. Will likely try somewhere else before going back.

Let's be frank, this isn't gourmet food. It's simply takeout American Style Chinese.

The restaurant itself is small, and decorated in an old fashioned way. The tables, booths, wall, and entire decor is dated and probably hasn't been updated in years. The menu board and paper specials look tired.

I've been for the lunch special, and the food itself is cheap, good, and piping hot! For less than $7, I got a big portion of food with an egg roll on the side. I ordered the mixed vegetables, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't stuffed with cheap onions. It had

I stopped by this place wanting to grab a quick bite after leaving Target. This place is right around the corner. The price was good for hot and sour soup, Sa Cha Chicken with white rice and a sweet tea. The entree was not very flavorful but the soup was pretty good. The portion size was good, I ate half & saved the rest for later.

It was a daring adventure for the following reasons:

Dusty vent
Sticky tables (all)
Dinner Specials taped to wall on printer paper
Dirty kitchen
No paper towels left in bathroom
Refrigerator not working (they gave me cup of ice)

Despite these red flags, I still approached the counter.

Me: "Hi, do you recommend the Bourbon Chicken?"

Lady Behind Counter: "Yes. Some people like."

"But isn't Bourbon Chicken a bayou thing?"

"I don't know. Some people like."

"Okay. I'll get the Bourbon Chicken with white rice and wonton soup instead

I knew the food was mediocre. I didn't expect anything fantastic, just quick and edible but this was hands down the most horrific dining experience I've ever had. I found a CHEWED piece of gum in my lo mein! It turns my stomach to even think about it. I've never been so disgusted over food.

This place is awesome i dont understand all the hate. been eating here for years ive never had an issue with wait time on delivery and im not even that close to them. food is always hot and delicious. seriously...i for the life of me cant figure out the bad reviews.

Have ordered online 3 times and each delivery was on time and delicious.
Kids enjoy the fried rice.
I enjoy the mei fun & egg rolls.
