Services
Robert K. Hasselblad, founder of Hasselblad Lumber Sales, began his career in the lumber industry in 1959 managing Friesen Lumber stud mill in St. Helens, Oregon for his brother in law, Ernie Friesen. The company grew and in 1975 his oldest son, Robert, joined him. Younger son Steven following in 1983.
At Hasselblad Lumber we supply mill-direct oak and douglas fir timbers in dimensions up to 12 x 14 x 20'. Oak is a strong, closed-cell hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot or decay. This, combined with its high stress ratings, makes it a desirable option when compared to less dense hardwoods from other U.S. regions.
From west coast to east coast, Hasselblad Lumber has been active in the sale of keel blocks for over 30 years. We sell custom cut oak keel blocks for shipyards and dry docks. In addition, we sell douglas fir soft caps which are typically meant for crushing and are situated on top of the oak keel blocks.
Lumber Supplier Hasselblad Lumber has been proudly serving the Southern California commercial and residential construction framing market for 20 years. Time is money. We are able to provide reliable next day service via redundant delivery and supply networks. As a hybrid between a lumberyard and wholesaler, no yard means less overhead.
