Came through to celebrate our Italian heritage as we heard this was the best place to randomly chose while scrolling through Yelp.
We were taken off guard as they didn't have San Pellegrino, but the exclusive San Benedetto with the limes was just as great.
They stayed coming with the fresh baked bread with oil and balsamic. We got the calamari to start with the house made marinara and you can definitely tell it was made in-house, you can't get this anywhere else.
I got the Fettuccini Oceano as the first comment said to do so and it didn't disappoint. It had some of the best lobster

Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere and food here is just too notch! I had planned to get as many photos as possible but the food came out and we couldn't wait to dig in!
The Fettuccine Oceano and the Spaghetti al Frutti di Mare al Cartoccio are MUST TRYS! Some of the best pasta we have ever had! The Oceano wins the top prize of the evening but you honestly can't go wrong with either! The pizza, Chicken Marsala and Lasagna are delicious options also if your going for the classic Italian staple!

The best Italian restaurant in the area. My family and I always have such an incredible time at Ristorante Piccolo. Our server Frankie Y. was so sweet, and gave us the best service throughout our entire dinner. The violinist played my dad's favorite song, and our food was delicious. Thank you all for always giving us an amazing experience. We'll return very soon.

I have seen this restaurant a lot and I always meant to go, and so my boyfriend and I finally splurged for our anniversary and it was worth every penny! It's a little pricy, but I think the food speaks for itself that this is worth the splurge.
Honestly, we ended up going here because we missed brunch at another restaurant, so we decided to just have an early dinner, and it was the best last minute decision. Firstly, the space itself is so cozy and warm. We were seated upstairs in a smaller room by the fireplace, and it was so lovely. It kept me nice and toasty during my meal.

Amazing find, this Resturant was so cute! Feels like a home that was converted into a Resturant. Ask for the two seats by the fireplace. Very romantic for date night. I ordered the carbonara pasta it melted in your mouth. Pasta definitely felt home made, great sauce. My spouse got the manicode he really enjoyed it was almost like a lasagne, but wrapped in a shell. Very tasteful. Also got the margarita pizza for appetizer was okay good tomato sauce.

So delighted in the way we were treated!!!
Reservation for 9:00pm and seated right away in a romantic private-ish nook in the front room. House bread and dipping sauce is excellent — had 2 servings! The pinot Grigio wine was crisp and light and went perfect with the Rockfish and the Fruti di Mari that we ordered as main courses (see pics). A congenial and polite crowd in the place — busy but not loud! Dessert was EXCELLENT — cannoli and fresh coffee! The waiter decided that the dessert and coffee was on the house— an extra treat. We were serenaded by a violinist who was quite experienced

The hardest question I've been asked is what's your favorite food. I'm such a foodie so I never have a straight answer but Italian is always top 3.
Ristaurante Piccolo in Georgetown is one of my favorites. The patio gives you a vibe of Italy even though you're right here in DC. They offer a $16 lunch express consisting of an appetizer and entree and a sunset menu from 4:30-6:30 Mon-Thursday for $25 which includes a dessert.

When we mentioned our reservation to our host he left which I assumed was to check to see if a table was ready. By the time he came back down it seemed like he was doing other tasks and even stopped and chatted with a customer for a while. Finally after a little more running around he came back to us and walked us to our table upstairs.
For food we ordered the Gamberoni Fra' Diavolo for an appetizer, and the tortellini carbonara and fettuccine oceano for entrees. The appetizer only came with 3 pieces of shrimp which didn't seem worth the price. Our pasta dishes were good, especially

Came here for a friends birthday! Food and ambiance were great! Lasagna was delicious and they had a violinist playing throughout the entire meal! They could even play the birthday song.
One star subtracted due to not allowing us to sit inside because we had to wait for all parties to show up (2 additional ppl) and we waited in the cold in front of the trash cans on the street.

We just happened to stumble upon this adorable Italian restaurant while shopping in Georgetown. They were able to accommodate us quickly. Ristorante Piccolo offered impeccable service with even more delicious… dishes. Our entire table finished every bite of dinner and dessert! The experience we received at this lovely little spot was the highlight of our entire trip. I highly recommend stopping in for a casual lunch or even a romantic dinner.

Food was very good. Service was poor to average. We ordered appetizers, and about 10 minutes later ordered main courses. The appetizers came out, then the main courses came out within 2 minutes. Told them to take the main courses back to the kitchen. 20 minutes or so later they brought the same dishes back to us. Come on. You made a mistake and we were supposed to "suffer" for it. Make new dishes. Water glasses went empty for extended periods of time. Wine and cocktails glasses sat empty for 10 minutes or more before even being asked if we wanted another round. This all on a Thursday night...not

We had a very solid meal at Ristorante Piccolo; I ordered the gnocchi and my boyfriend had the seafood risotto. We both enjoyed our dishes, but agreed that they were somewhat overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food we got. The dessert was the best part; we had the almond cake, which I would eat 1000 more times. I will also say the service is a little bit slow, which I didn’t mind; the restaurant was clearly busy when we were there, and we had a nice time enjoying the ambience, but I would be prepared to be there for 2-3 hours on a busy night, especially if you order dessert.

“Most romantic place in Georgetown” the host says, treating us like royalty. We got very very lucky to have an outdoor table open up right as we arrived on a sunny Saturday early afternoon.
The food was delicious. Appetizers were very homey, homemade tasting, like I imagine Tuscany food to be (I should really visit one day). The lamb ragu on polenta was rich and flavorful, and the vegetable soup was so hearty.
Our mains did take their time getting there though, more than half hour after our appetizers which surprised me, odd stumble in a pri fixe brunch menu, and getting the check

A great spot to go on a date as their restaurant is classy and quaint, and some of the upstairs/patio seating is rather intimate. My sister and I made a reservation and were seated immediately on the street area with a space heater between out table and the neighboring table. While it was a bit busy being on a busy street, the enclosing and heat lamps were nice COVID modifications that made our dining experience enjoyable.
We were served complimentary warm and fresh bread that came with spices on top and olive oil for dipping. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan (melanzane parmigiano) and my sister

Everything but most importantly the service! Great People and Great Food. They went above and beyond to accommodate us for our anniversary. My boyfriend called several times to make sure we were able to sit… outside on the balcony where that’s usually first come first serve. The balcony is able to accommodate 2 small intimate tables. After a short time I did start to get a bit cold 🤦🏽♀️ and they moved us to another intimate cozy spot downstairs away from everyone else. We will be coming back and bringing out friends soon!

Ristorante Piccolo is a 5-star experience, all around.
The staff is friendly and provides great recommendations for the menu. They even offered shots on the house to elevate our birthday celebration!
The mushroom ravioli (Agnolottli Al Porcini) is amazing... although, leaves you wanting more.
Tiramisu and Cheesecake were delicious!
Definitely recommend!

Very classy restaurant and cute for date night. We were accommodated quickly by the host upon arrival, and they do a great job with enforcing social distancing rules. The only problem I had was with the table I was seated at. It was squeezed in a tight corner, making it very hard to get comfortable.
Food: the complimentary bread they serve was very warm with a nice crust and a super soft inside. The bread literally melted in my mouth. I got the chicken Parmesan and it did not disappoint. The chicken portion was huge and finely breaded. I loved the marinara sauce because it tasted very authentic

I'll start with the bottom line - most of the food we had wasn't that good unfortunately :/
The ravioli was great. The calamari was made from frozen calamari based on the texture of it, the pizza is just average, the desserts were just below average.
From a place that has been around for so long and with above average pricing you just expect more. Just trying to give my honest and humble opinion.
