We have lived in Cleveland, Ohio for all of our adult years. When the youngest of our 4 children was only 2 we visited Hilton Head for the first time for a business convention and immediately fell in love with the island. As many of you know, being close to the house AND the beach is a treat when traveling with young children!
We purchased 10 Ketch in 1994, and visited as time would allow, but also began accepting guests when we could not visit. Back then the internet was new, and we were one of three homes listed for rent on our initial rental site. How times have changed! Our kids grew up vacationing at the beach every year, and we have so many wonderful memories of our times there.

Services
All of our homes are in the gated community of Palmetto Dunes, located in the center of the island. Guest passes are required for entry. Our homes are through the Mariner (north) gate, which is primarily individual homes, with a couple of condo developments at the entrance.
Mooring Buoy is the main road through this area of the plantation, and the ocean streets are called T streets, because they are laid out like a capital T! Oceanfront homes are at the top of the T. Streets run from A to N--our homes are on Dinghy and Ketch.To the south of our area is the Marriott Hotel, to the north is a golf course, and then the Singleton Beach area.

The Perfect Beach House for Active Families!
This is the 2nd time our family has rented 10 Ketch during the winter holidays and we couldn't be more pleased. Luann is the most incredible owner/host. From the moment you rent, she reaches out to you and keeps you informed and up to date on what is happening on Hilton Head. She is always a phone call away. As she said, she knows how important her holidays are to her and she wants her clients to enjoy their time in her beachfront home.

Cleanest house we have stayed at in Hilton Head in the 20 years we have been going there. Luann (owner) was extremely informative , communicative, available and accommodating. The house was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The pool and the patio was perfectly situated for our large groups needs (plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas and automatic awning on deck). Two refrigerators in kitchen and multiple air conditioning controls were also a plus. King size beds and en-suite bathrooms were added bonus. Highly recommend.

We stayed at 10 Ketch, Palmetto Dunes, Hilton Head SC in July of 2020. Our family of 11 was extremely happy with our stay. Four gorgeous master bedroom/bath suites, plus an additional bedroom and sofa bed and plenty of shared family space made everyone comfortable. Luann was an outstanding host - she sent us frequent updates prior to our stay and recommendations for preparations ahead of time. We were able to have 10 rental bikes and groceries waiting for us upon our arrival at 10 Ketch. The private pool was pristine and the beach was a lovely view from the living/kitchen area and just a short

Our family was there in October of this year.
Cant say enough good things about our stay, and the owner (Luann).
The pictures on website did not disappoint. We felt like home in this house. It is very inviting. The outside setup between the ocean & pool was my favorite spot to take in all the awesome views. The convenience of taking the chairs to the beach was great.
The owner of the home is very dependable & reliable. Always responded to every text, email - promptly.
You won't be disappointed with a visit here.

Our family(9 people in all) just completed a wonderful week at LuAnn’s beachside paradise ! I feel we are very qualified to review Palmetto Dunes properties as we have made biannual trips to the island since 2002. In all but one trip we have rented A property inside Palmetto Dunes. Hands down 10 Ketch is the best property we have had the pleasure to spend Our vacation time In! Let me start with 5 large bedrooms, each with fully renovated bathrooms. Still basking in the glow of our wonderful vacation at 10 Ketch last week. We have stayed at multiple rentals over the years, and this was by far one of the best. Perfect location for families with children of all ages. Highly recommend this property for its location on the beach in lovely Palmetto Dunes. The house is very clean and well kept with all the amenities - especially appreciate the little touches including Alexa, games, beach towels, pool & beach gear/toys, bathroom towels, tissues, etc. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. Perfect Spot for Family
10 Ketch was perfect for our family 3 generations, 6 adults, and 6 kids ages 5 months to 7. Super location on quiet part of beach in Palmetto Dunes. Home layout was great for our group of 12, very good condition, and was equipped with everything we needed, and good quality! The 2 refrigerators in the well stocked kitchen was great for our group. We love staying at 10 Ketch! We have spent several family vacations in this house and it is always amazing! The easy and private access to the beach makes vacation so much better especially with young kids. It is so much more enjoyable to have easy access to the house for frequent bathroom breaks and for lunch and snack breaks. I love not needing to pack up the entire house just for a day at the beach.
And the views are amazing! With the big windows in every ocean front room and the open floor plan you can't miss the beautiful ocean view. If you are lucky you might see dolphins!
