My family and I recently moved from the UES to Connecticut. We've struggled mightily to find anything that resembles NYC pizza. It was such a pleasure to ride back into town and have such an authentic NYC pizza experience. Numero 28 is without a doubt in the top three best pizza restaurants in all 5 boroughs.

I work as a Postmates delivery person and I'm always picking up orders from numero 28 and the place is always packed. I decided to one day try it out and I can see what all the hype is about it. The food was excellent and the overall feeling while I was there was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be returning.

If they’re a premium pizza company, I’m not sure why they cut all of the slices unevenly.. and incompletely.. also I asked for extra sauce and they wound up being rather light in sauce :/
This was an order placed at 2pm on a monday, so they definitely weren’t just busy
I ordered margherita. the pizza was ok! a bit too doughy for my taste, better off going to famous ben’s or lombardi’s for fresh sauce, crispy crust, and clean ingredients

Loved this place! Stopped here on the way back from a doctor's appointment. We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious pizza for lunch. It was just my daughter and I so we got the individual pizza because we weren't that hungry. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt. We will be back when in the area again.

Delicious! I scanned over the menu outside and didnt see anything particularly interesting. I was about to walk off and scout the UES for something that would be satisfying and a passerby said, "they have the best pizza!" She didnt lie. I ordered the 5 cheese($17)and added basil and it is amongst the top 5 pizza that I've had in NY. Very cozy place inside is dim light and limited seating. 2pm, no crazy lunch crowd. I opted to sit outside (sidewalk cafe) because it's very nice out and I was dining alone.

As Italian I can definitely say that here you can find the real Italian gastronomic experience. Flavours, smell, taste, atmosphere... every element reflect Italy’s food culture. It’s one of the best place in New York.
Pizza is very good, pasta is prepared very well by a good chef. People inside are very nice. I suggest everyone to go here for dinner.
