Play Haven has been a dream of mine for a long time. Having been a pre-school teacher for 12 years, and a mother of two in San Francisco, I've always understood the value of open-ended play and social interaction in children's everyday lives. So I wanted to provide a space where children's play is valued.
On Monday mornings we will be offering a special story time with Gail for all Play Haven guests. Gail is a longtime childhood educator, teaching preschool at the JCCSF for over 20 years. No additional charge to participate. Just bring your imaginations! Tyler is the founder of Sunset KIDS, a children's music company offering interactive music classes to get kids moving, dancing, and appreciating music.
Features include an art studio, sensory activities, imaginative games, dramatic play areas, and even a rock climbing wall. Table seating and free WiFi is also available throughout. Available for birthday parties, baby showers, private events and our special enrichment classes. Enjoy our wonderful outdoor play area tucked alongside the lush greenery of Forest Hill.

We had our son's first birthday here at the beginning of March, right before the CDC mandate took place. It was the beginning of a risky time, but most of our guests were still planning to attend so we saw no reason to cancel. Beth and her colleagues reassured us that they always keep their space clean and sanitized. It is a beautiful, well-lit space that is not crowded or cluttered, and caters to many stages, but especially infants and toddlers. Staff was very helpful with set-up and clean-up. We all had a great time, especially our and our guests kids (aged 0-12yo).

Great place for tod-babies and parents. The space was great for our 15 months old twins. They had a blast and slept very well on our way back home. Would highly recommend. Our friends threw a first birthday here and they allow liquor. Yay. Sometimes us parents need coffee and mimosas to keep us going.

We hosted my brother-in-law's baby shower at Play Haven in October. It was a cold and windy day, so I'm glad we chose an indoor venue for the event. We were very happy with Play Haven and I would highly recommend them for private parties.
We were able to reserve the date through the website, and they were quick to reply through email. Their pricing was comparable to other private party venues in SF. I really liked how we could rent the entire space and there was more than enough room for both the adults and children. We had a party with 12 children and 30 adults.

We were introduced to Play Haven through attending a birthday party almost 3 years ago, and we've come back ever since! My kiddos are 3 and newly 5 now, and they still request Play Haven all the time. The art area, the climbing wall, the little play house in the back yard--all are great activities for the older kids. They have a great selection of snacks that are only $1 each, plus coffee for the grown ups.
We also just finished a week of summer camp at Play Haven, featuring licensed preschool teachers, and it was AWESOME! My girls loved it--they did some really cool crafts, made new friends

This place is so cute and cozy! I feel so comfortable and relaxed coming here because it's not as huge and hectic as other play spaces we visit. It has a bright and clean open space where you can really get into arts and crafts. Has great wooden toys and puppets as well as a great selection of toddler books. They have an awesome kitchen area where they offer coffee and snacks for purchase. Lots of tables, chairs and high chairs to eat and feed your children.

It's a really warm and open play space. I particularly appreciate the row of tables inside the play area where you are allowed to eat. The staff is nice and always helpful. Word of caution is that sometimes parents don't really pay attention to their kids, since it's generally a pretty safe space in terms of potential hazards.

Play Haven is a nice indoor kids play area. We attended a 1-year-old birthday party here and it was pretty fun. There are several pros with this place. First, the kids play in one separate area including a rock-climbing wall, painting wall, an infant area, LEGO tables and a small slide structure. Parents can see the kids through a glass window so there is some separation but total transparency! Secondly, they offer a separate parent lounge so you can potentially get on a call or chat with other friends while enjoying the visibility of your children. The space is also very clean and spacious. One

If you're looking for an indoor play space in this part of town it's great.
Lots of parking down below by the church, which is the driveways just BEFORE you get to play haven. They only have 2-3 15min drop off and pick up spots in the actual driveway they are in.
They have a few IKEA high chairs if you need to feed your kid.
Stations sort of like preschools. Infant area gated off. Then there's play kitchens. Magnatile area. Train table. Slide and climbing area. LEGO table. And then art area with clay and paints and other stuff. When there's a lot of older kids it&apos

What a great space! Clean, very spacious, and has a variety of toys and stations for the littles. Love the amount of natural light too! Our 1 y/o daughter was here from 10 am - 2:30 pm and cried when we had to leave. Hard to pry her away from the wonderful toys. Hope to come again!
This is my first Yelp review, too. Happy to sing my praises for this place

Play Haven is great!! I have a nanny and she started when my son was 9 months old. I got them membership to Play Haven, California Academy of Sciences, Children's Creativity Museum and the Zoo.
Play haven is by far his favorite! It's also perfect for us, since we are a convenient 10 min walk away. It's a great space and safe for the kids, you can let them run around and not worry about having to go after them.
It's the most expensive membership we have, but it's totally worth it!

Over a year later and my thoughts on Play Haven remain the same. You guys are definitely doing something right. I like the friendly staff, CLEAN facility, open space, and fun areas for children of different ages.
The kitchen, bathroom and diaper changing area are so thoughtful- snacks and drinks for sale, as well as diapers for sale in case you happened to run out... and a somewhat secure toddler seat in the stall so you can pee without worrying about your tot touching everything.
My only issue has been with some of the parents/Guardians/caretakers that bring children here. PLEASE SUPERVISE

I recently threw my son's Disney themed party at Play Haven. I cannot speak highly enough of the space and staff! From answering all my questions to helping day of; they made the entire party planning process easy. I chose the Exclusive Party which gave my guests the entire venue from 3-5 pm on a Saturday (additional hour can be booked). It cost $500 and included up to 50 adults and 15 children; with the option to pay for additional passes for more children.

FINALLY! This is such a great space in SF! My 11 month old and 2.5 year old nephew had so much fun today. It is $12 each child for a single visit. They take card/cash. There are cubby holes to place your shoes, no food or drinks in the carpet area, but to the side of this play area there are tables and chairs that you can have those things (example for your childs snack). Parents can go inside this area too.
There is an area thats secluded for infants that first caught my attention because my 11 month old isnt walking yet, so even though I didnt leave his side I felt reassured with how well thought

Totally incredible place. The owner has been a preschool teacher for 12 years & all the play is geared toward learning, sensory development and exploration. My 5 1/2 yr old & 2 1/2 year old had a blast here and can't wait to come back.
They have a parent's only work space with wi-fi for when the kiddos are taking a class & a stocked kitchen - bottle warmers, microwave, and everything you need to care for the kids.
We are definitely planning our next birthday party here!
