Dr. Dale is absolutely, hands down the most caring and kind doctor I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I've had a handful of family doctors, psychiatrists, therapist, etc. in the past 13 years and none come close to how genuine visits with Dr. Dale feel. You can tell immediately that he isn't trying to quickly get you in and out, and that he really wants more than anything to help. It's rare to find a doctor that you look forward to the next appointment when you leave his office.

Very personable and really digs deep to figure out what's going on. Takes into consideration your family history and personal life. Non judge mental and open minded! Great conversation. Doesn't take insurance but is worth it.

Dr. Dale is compassionate, responsive, open-minded, and fun to talk to. Best of all, he is very good at his job! I finally feel like a normal person. If you need a psychiatrist, this is the one.

Dr Dale is the most amazing doctor and human being that I've ever worked with. I've been under his care for 9 years. HE HAS NEVER FAILED ME. Not even once. I have emailed him 100s of times. Update: I've been seeing Dr. Dale now for 7 years and counting. He's been there for every meeting, he's gone out of his way to respond to urgent emails, and most importantly he is still an amazing person and Doctor!

By far one of the best experiences I've had with any healthcare professional, and I've seen more than a few. Doctor Dale is great at taking the time to explain things to me, he never talks down to me but he also never over-complicates. He truly tries to do the best he can and I feel a real kinship with him. He's also obviously intelligent and knowledgeable. Finally, he puts up with all my dumb questions and answers me in a timely fashion. I really can't ask for more from a medical professional.

Dr. Hsieh is an outstanding physician. He truly cares about his patients. He is incredibly thorough and takes diligent notes to ensure he's tailored a treatment approach specific to each individual patient. He's incredibly knowledgeable as well and takes time to educate his patients so they understand their treatment options. On top of that, he's just such a nice guy. Visiting with him feels like you're visiting with a friend. I highly recommend Dr. Hsieh if you are looking for a competent and compassionate psychiatrist.

Dr. Dale is one of the most competent and caring medical professionals in Central Texas. Dr. Hsieh is so phenomenal, I had to write another review. His inquisitive nature means he never stops trying to improve your quality of life. He continues to tweak dosages until you feel like you are living your best life. He remains supportive and understanding throughout treating you, while still holding you accountable for your actions. I may use a phrase simply in passing and he circles back to it, noticing an issue or symptom with which I'm dealing even before I have become fully aware of it.

Dr. Hsieh is hands down the best doctor I've ever been to. He genuinely cares about his patients and works hard to find the right treatments. Before meeting Dr. Hsieh I was very discouraged; every doctor I'd been to seemed very apathetic and left me feeling discouraged. Meeting Dr. Hsieh was such a breath of fresh air. Instead of feeling hopeless (like previous doctors made me feel), I was assured that we would work together to find the right solution and that things would get better. He basically has a sixth sense. He's different from any mental health professional I've seen, and I've seen many. I will update with progress as it's only been a couple sessions. He exhibits extremely important characteristics in a doctor: compassion, empathy, and extreme intelligence. This is the kind of dude that skated through medical school. He is very perceptive but also just nice to talk to. I highly suggest giving him a call.

Dr. Hsieh is really amazing. Not only is he REALLY good at figuring out a complex diagnosis, he's caring and he goes the extra mile to deal with the insurance companies. I will never go anywhere else and I've recommended multiple people to him.

Doctor Dale is really a very good doctor. Dale has taken me under care, and that is precisely what has happened. He cares. He has NEVER been late, he FREQUENTLY stays over time with me, he is ALWAYS compassionate. He DOES have MY best interests. He is my FIRST psychiatrist, he will stay that way for now. I have read the reviews of other Psychiatrists in town and it scares me. ALL their reviews said terrible terrible things. I have found the opposite to be true here.
Appointments are not hard to get with him as are answers to emails. When I say not difficult you can usually have an appointment

I love Dr. Hsieh. There are very few psychiatrists in Austin that are as invested in their clients as he is. Compassionate, thorough and competent. As a mental health professional myself, I would not go to anyone else!

I am a 35 year old registered nurse that has been using my Primary Care Physicians to manage what they assumed was anxiety and ADHD for the last 15 years. I was prescribed a variety of different medications including Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Xanax and a variety of different ADHD medications. I loved all of my PCP's and feel they did their best to treat my psychiatric concerns, but I did not feel my symptoms were well managed.

I've seen many psychiatrists over the years and Dr Dale is one of the best I've ever seen. I just saw him for my initial evaluation and I was very pleased.  We talked about a plan that included plenty of treatment options like medication, and other things like working out, meditation, and talk therapy. It was good to know I had so many options to help me get better.

I just saw him recently and it was pretty easy to get an appointment. He couldn't schedule me for my first choice of appointment time bc he was out of town but I'm glad I waited to see him the following week

Of all of the Psychiatrists I've seen in my 30-some odd year time of needing treatment, Dr Dale has made me feel the most comfortable, and the most dialed-in I have felt ever.

First visit I ever had with him, he looked at the medications I was on, and how my symptoms persisted, and suggested two changes in my overall plan introducing very low side-effect support medication. He seemed to instantly understand the issues that I had with my old medication and how it pertained to me and the rest felt like magic.

For the past few years I had been suffering from an escalating anxiety issue and what I thought was depression or bipolar ( from google research). My GP said I needed to see physiatrist, I felt it best to talk to someone who specialized in this sort of thing so I could be sure I was on the right treatment path.I asked around and many times Dr. Dales name was brought up. I think word of mouth is definitely the way to go, my friend gave me his email.
