John has been practicing in the field of accounting and financial services for approximately 20 years, and is licensed as both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). His expertise is with tax, audit, and consulting for closely held medium-sized businesses ($500 thousand to $125 million) in a range of industries including real estate, construction, land resource, manufacturing, and not-for-profit.
BBJS' core client base began with several well respected timber, real estate and other land-ownership based families in the Pacific Northwest and their business concerns. While initially providing accounting and tax services to the core businesses and owners, the relationships with these clients grew to serving their family members and their broad range of trust and estate planning needs.
BBJS assists businesses typically employing between 10 and 500 employees, and with less than 50 owners/investors, including both for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises. Revenues generally range from $1 million to $125 million, and average in the neighborhood of $20 - $35 million. Well over half of our clients are asset based, with asset values of several hundred million dollars.
