At this optique, you will meet a brother and sister, Igor and Izabella, who are superb professionals. They are warm, knowledgeable, and generous. They go the extra mile and then some. They are a joy to deal with. They really care about their customers and their products -- right down to the eyeglass cases and shopping bags. Truly, they are among my favorite businesspeople in New York. I can't recommend La Bleu highly enough.

My husband and I were desperately looking for a good eyewear shop that has a doctor to do a thorough examination of our eyesight. After various online searches we relied on the excellent reviews in google of this shop.
You can imagine our surprise when we realized that their service was above and beyond. Isobella welcomed us and patiently served us for over 2 hours with a thorough examination by the doctor on site and a wide selection of products. This place is amazing! I was the first customer in this morning due to a contact lens emergency. I was researching online to see how I would be able to get 1 lens, last minute. After some suggestions (bring a valid prescription!), I found that La Bleu was down the street from where I work. I walked in as they were opening and the salesperson was immediately able to help. There were no weird questions, or push back, just solid service. Two other patrons walked in and I overheard them say that they were new to NYC and chose La Bleu after referrals from friends. Incredible selection of unique glasses! I have yet to find another glasses store in Manhattan with such a beautiful and diverse collection of stylish eyewear. The owners have a great eye for style and a real passion for what they do. They also are just the nicest people and offer very attentive customer service. I would give La Bleu 10 stars if I could. We walked in based on the reviews from fellow Yelpers and we were so impressed with Igor and Izabella. Igor was so knowledgeable and knew exactly what would look good on my husband. He pulled out several frames, even the one he was wearing, and was so patient as my husband tried them all on. I am new to the world of having to wear glasses every day and thank god I stumbled into Le Bleu. They suggested a pair of glasses I would have never picked for myself but ended up being the most fabulous fit for me. They really know what looks great on you and what helps highlight your features so that the glasses are truly an accessory not just a necessity. I have since been back to get another pair of the same glasses made into sunglasses because they fit so beautifully. I had a fantastic experience at La Bleu Optique. Dr. Beth Summers, who recently examined my eyes, was thorough, professional, and explained every step - wonderful 'bedside manner.' The brother-and-sister team of Izabella and Igor took care of the rest with maximum care and efficiency.
I was completely unhurried as they explained various lens options and assisted me in selecting the most comfortable and flattering frames. It was clear that all wanted me to be happy with my choice - and I am! BRAVO, and many thanks.

Cheers to a brother/sister pair running a great little boutique optician space with a great selection right in the middle of mid town Manhattan.
Service is awesome, follow up impeccable and most of all, they are the kind of people you'd love to go have a drink with. If we use that criteria to elect presidents to run the free world, I guess I could use it to pick my glasses.

In search of frames, I went on the advice of Yelp ratings, which did not disappoint.
Igor was very patient, asked the right questions in determining the frames for me to try on, and was genuine in his thoughts and comments. They have a great and varied amount of styles to choose from. On some styles, Igor could even get the frames in custom colors to match you.

Traveling in NYC with my husband on business- came across La Bleu near TimeSquare- impressive quality and stunning styles like I had never seen before!
But the best part of all is the kind and personalized attention of the staff to make your experience enjoyable and educational to the value and characteristics of their products.
Higher price than I am used to but WELL worth it for the quality of the frames AND the detail to the prescription. I will be wearing my glasses ALL the time for the first time in 12 years:-)!!!!!!!!!!!Thank you Egor!

After having had a hard time trying to find a new pair of glasses ELSEWHERE, I accidentally came across La Bleu. I walked in and was received with so much welcome and warmth by Izabella (yes we have the same name!). She was so kind and helpful. Every pair of glasses she brought for me to try, I absolutely loved! I took a few pictures and came back a few weeks later with my decision. I couldn't be happier with their service.
