Stephen Twarowski is the President/Owner of SHR Remodeling, Inc., a design/build remodeling company that specializes in living-in-place modifications. Stephen began his career in construction 45 years ago in Indiana remodeling 100-year-old homes, being trained by European craftsmen, and enjoying bringing these historic homes back to life.

SHR Remodeling has done work for me for many years. The jobs have ranged from installing grab bars to fixing damage from leaking water pipes to rebuilding my pergola to completely remodeling my bathroom and kitchen. The workmanship is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. One time I had to have work done in a guest bathroom where I wanted to keep the wallpaper.

Stephen Twarowski actually listens and will not pressure you into anything you don’t want. He is professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented and takes pride in his (and his crew’s) excellent work. Quick to respond when you leave a message. He and the crew are reliable and always clean-up before they leave for the day. And honest! (I wrote the final check for too much and as soon as he noticed, he contacted me. I probably would have never realized what I had done.) I have had several upgrades made to my home in the past several years and have been very pleased with the work that had been done. The first major remodel was my kitchen where all cabinets, etc were removed and new ones replaced. The second remodel was my bathroom. It included removing most of the bathroom and replacing the shower including piping, cabinetry and wallpaper. I’ve also had some minor electrical work done and been very pleased with the results of all work.

Stephen worked with us to plan and execute projects in our new home that were realistic regarding our budget, comprised of quality work, and which allowed for several options. He and his crew 1) replaced seagrass with wood flooring on our entire second floor, 2) installed new countertops and backsplash in our kitchen, 3) built a custom island in our kitchen, 4) repainted the exterior of our house (stucco) and 5) performed a variety of smaller tasks. SHR is a professional, reliable and straightforward business that focuses on quality and communication. Highly recommend.
