Cowtown Powersports was established in 1982, but the story begins ten years earlier. In 1973, Dennis Niles and Kenneth Smith opened their first motorcycle dealership. After steady success, they decided to go BIG and build their own dealership. They broke ground in 1981 and opened their new dealership's doors a year later.
The founders wanted the dealership name to possess local significance so they called their new dealership Cowtown Yamaha and Longhorn Honda. Three years later the Honda store separated and the 4808 S.E Loop 820 location officially became known as Cowtown Powersports in 1987. To date, the Niles family has maintained ownership for 33 years.

Super duper shout out to the crew at Cowtown Power Sports. Debbie and Gilbert really took care of me throughout the whole process, from sales to loading up my Can Am Spyder with the forklift onto the trailer. I took my Polaris Trail Blazer 330 to Cowtown about a week ago—I failed to make a service appointment. Chris was able to schedule an appointment for me on that same day, though. This quad had been sitting for three years without being ridden. Chris was very candid about the potentially very expensive repairs that might be necessary and gave me a rough estimate. He agreed to keep in touch via text regarding the status of the repairs and if/when additional repairs would exceed his initial estimate. After a year of researching and preparing to purchase a Can Am, I went to a couple of dealerships before walking into Cowtown yesterday. I was so blessed to find THE place where I was willing to spend my money.
