Capers & Lemons, is a restaurant serving modern versions of classic Italian fare. The dining room at Capers & Lemons seamlessly blends old and new into something all its own. The lighting and colors of the dining room evoke the sense of a classic Italian restaurant, while the decor is distinctly contemporary making diners realize this restaurant has its own vision.
Many traditional Italian dishes can be found, with a small modern twist. Bright and flavorful antipasti, Wood-fire cooked pizzas, and hearty pastas are all here. Finally, stop in at happy hour to enjoy beer, wine or some signature cocktails.

I would give this place a five if it wasn’t for our two last experiences there. What happened today is awful, we received our campanelle alla puttanesca order with onion in it. My husband doesn’t eat onions at all and it was something new, because we have ordered it almost every time that we go there. The waitress talked to the chef and they apologized that it was a mistake. We ordered a new portion without onions as it is in their menu to go since it got late for us and what we have received is the plate that we had with less onions in it. Someone thought they removed all the onions. What

I have never received such horrible service. I was sitting in the separate bar area for over 20 minutes waiting to be greeted by someone, anyone. To make matters worse there were 2 other tables in the same area getting served. Multiple servers walked in and out and don't say a word. When I spoke to the manager about it all she said was she will speak to them. She didn't do anything to try to rectify the situation, I was offered a seat or anything. Just watched me walk out. Very disappointing.

We went for brunch/lunch, we're seated quickly, and were immediately greeted. The waiter was knowledgeable on the menu. The atmosphere was quite pleasant- quiet, warm, friendly. The menu had a nice selection of items for both brunch and lunch, though we all ended up ordering from the lunch menu so I can't speak to the brunch options. The chicken Caprese sandwich was delicious. The chicken was very tender. The roast beef sandwich was saved by the horseradish Mayo and carmelized onions...the meat itself was rather bland. The sandwiches were all served with chips, which were surprisingly

Honestly not great food at all.
The service is good, the ambiance is good, but the actual food itself is MEDIOCRE.
We ordered the truffle garlic parmesan bread, instead of having a soft crisp, the tops were closer to charred burnt. The eggplant lasagna appetizer was good, probably the only thing I liked. We got their equivalent of a Chicken Parmesan for dinner, we were told it was lightly pan fried. These chicken pieces were essentially chicken tenders, and the breading was absolutely burnt, we had to send it back. We ended the night with the cookie dessert, and while it was decent, certainly

It started at the door; my husband was given the dinner menu and I was given the lunch menu. When we discussed what we were going to have, he said my choice was not on his menu! Our waitress was oblivious to her customers; helped the table next to ours but never asked if we needed anything. I finally flagged down a manager for help. Any Italian restaurant that doesn't know how to make a proper Puttanesca is not authentic.

I have been here several times, the salmon has always been excellently prepared, with an amazing spinach and orzo, we like to share an additional side of spinach. I love the way they cook it with garlic. The ravioli is great, the sausage adds so much to the sauce. The lasagna is very good as well. If you can share an entree in order to save room for dessert, that might be a good idea. I love the cheesecake, it is so refreshing with blueberry & lemon sauce. My partner got chocolate gelato (3 or 4 scoops) rich and decadent (too much for one after a full meal, but we ate every bit. Another couple

High quality food with great staff. Came here with no reservations on a busy night and they were able to squeeze us in. Got myself an antipasta and a short rib that were both fantastic. Lots of locals come and it's well decorated. It's dim inside so it gives it a great vibe for everyone to get cozy, grab drinks and hang out. There's also outside tables set if you wanted to enjoy the weather outside. Thanks for making our couples night a great time :)

We got garlic truffle bread and grilled artichokes with arugula to start with. The artichokes were great, arugula was a bit too salty, and garlic bread was good. Maybe a tad bit too oily and hard. For the main course I got gnocchi with pesto. Gnocchi were made in house and they tasted really good, but we're a bit mushy. The pesto was pretty good whit whole pine nuts on top. The drink was my favorite part as Pamplemousse was delicious! The service was a bit slow but i believe there was only one server covering several tables.

This place is open during COVID! We actually sat in and ate for once. I ordered a tequila drink that has been a special there on their facebook for a few weeks now (I forget what it was called) but it was good! I also ordered the mozzarella stuffed meatball app and a side of risotto. Both were really good. The meatballs were seasoned perfectly and not too much cheese inside. The risotto was a solid choice and the side size was quite big. I still had left overs to take home because of how big the meatballs were. They also had a big pizza oven (looked really cool) but I didn't try any pizza

Food and service was good. Prices are slightly above average. Very popular spot for a friday night as the place was full and there was quite the waiting time to get a table. Decent (but small) bar area although they have a few tables set up in the "lounge" area that you can squeeze into. Off the beaten path and not in an area you would look for a nice restaurant to be. Worth a stop for some Italian food

Capers & Lemons is a pretty memorable name in my opinion, so first of all hats off for the naming choice.
Capers is a nicer place to have dinner in the greater Wilmington area- actually, it's probably the nicest place I've ever eaten in within the state lines, so, really, hats off again. The ambiance is slightly upscale here, though they do show sports over near the bar area. We were seated in a slightly more enclosed space, perhaps because our party was around 10 people.
The menu here has a reasonable number of items, though it is mainly pizza, pasta, and chicken and fish dishes

I have been to Capers & Lemons at least a dozen times over the years, and both the food and service are consistently excellent. I have never had a disappointing meal here, and is often the restaurant of choice for low-key celebratory meals when I am visiting Delaware.
The restaurant is lovely and understated, with dimmed but not dark lighting, comfortable booths, and a beautiful bar. The noise level is quiet enough that you can have an intimate meal, but not so hushed that you do not feel comfortable talking freely with your companions.
