Everyone, from the front office to assistants, and doctors, are very professional. Environment is clean, and welcoming. Dr. Tran is extremely knowledgeable of his job, and works fast to make the patient comfortable. He explained the root canal process, and did it efficiently. I left the office without pain.

The staff at Sunnyvale Smiles has been amazing during my transition into braces. The staff always welcomes me with a warm smile and friendly conversation and Orthodontist is one of the most patient and courteous doctors I’ve ever met. He always goes above and beyond my expectations and never makes me feel rushed in his chair. I’m always pleasantly pleased when I leave the office.

Amazing, they are really quite good at this whole dental thing, also very understanding about my financial status, they are working with me, not against me. Most of the places I have gone to don't understand that not everybody carries thousands with them all the time. I think I will be able to have a smile soon. Thank you Sunnyvale smiles.

I have been going to Sunnyvale Smiles for about 5 years. The office staff always answers the phone in a cheerful manner. While in the office they are kind, friendly and efficient. Dr Tran is awesome. He greets everyone with big 'hello'. Whether he is speaking with an adult or a child, he is calming and understanding. He does very good work, and I speak from experience. If you are looking for a good, reliable, pleasant experience with a dentist, I would suggest you give Sunnyvale Smiles a call.

There are three things I like about this dental practice: the technology, the thoroughness, and the customer service. I have never been to a dentist (Dr. Rodriguez) who reviewed such a number of x-rays and images on intake, and the hygienist did an excellent job with the cleaning and offering health advice. The rates are affordable, and the staff does its best to accommodate patients' schedules and needs. Great practice; I'm going back.

My first visit went well! I had pain in my tooth and needed a root canal and everyone was very friendly, I scheduled my follow-up and put it in my calendar to remind me of the time. Shortly after I got Covid and had to quarantine. I got texts that there were openings available to go in sooner but since I was in quarantine I could not accept it. I cleared my negative Covid test as well as completed my quarantine time and was able to keep my appointment. I arrive 15 minutes early, call the office to enter, and they decided to cancel my appointment since I did not "confirm." They gave away

I went here because of a painful molar. The dentist gave me a very quick exam and immediately recommended a root canal. He then ushered the front desk staff to go over some over priced financing options!

I went for a second opinion to another dentist, found out that the discomfort is due to teeth grinding. Now that I wear a mouth guard and I'm pain free.
I've avoided an unnecessary and costly procedure!
Make sure to double check the prices with other dentists as they seriously overcharge here.

The office is in a nice area. I loved the first dentist I went to, Dr. Miller, but she left. The new dentist is fine. But they are crooks!! They are trying to charge me TRIPLE what my insurance says I should be charged for treatment! WTH!! No, thanks!
Update: I went to a different practice nearby and they are charging me a FRACTION of what I was quoted and telling me that I have a lot less issues with my teeth than Sunnyvale smiles said I have. Always giving me wrong information!! Their job is to inform and for the second time I have been given bad information that costs me. I was advised that I wouldn't qualify for Invisalign express a 6 month treatment priced at 3200 so I had to pay for the regular Invisalign a cost of 4500 dollars..I finished my plan in little over 4 months and although originally advised by Ericka (front desk staff)that I could get a refund if I finished my treatment earlier they are coming up with any and everything not to refund me the difference. I took my 16 year old son here who was having lower molar tooth pain. They took isolated X-rays of the area and it was apparent that his wisdom tooth on that side was pushing on the roots of the tooth next to it. The tooth that was in pain was visibly fine with no cavity. The dentist took an instrument and whacked it pretty hard sending my soon through the roof in pain. He said, "the tooth has a fracture down into the gum and he needs a root canal." We absolutely love Sunnyvale Smiles! The staff is so helpful and always so friendly and caring. Shatocka and Erica are always so helpful. They have gone above and beyond to help us. Our son, Dallas, just started his orthodontics journey and they have made the process such a breeze for us. I really appreciate all of the help. Dr. Pederson is fantastic as well. Looked for a good dentist for a long time and finally found one. Front office staff is friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful if a change needs to be made for an appointment. Hours are fantastic and always able to book an appointment. Dr Shah is always a pleasure and thorough when explaining of answering questions.

If I could post a zero star, I would. I paid $4,500 for my invisalign and in the middle of my visits, had a new doctor. Now my teeth are STILL not straight and I was promised by the FIRST doctor that they would be 100% straightened. I also still have glue on my front teeth as they never got it off fully. LOL! Was referred to Sunnyvale Smiles by my usual dentist at Ideal Dental in Rowlett. Having extreme wisdom tooth pain so it was time to have all four of my impacted teeth removed, plus another back molar that has always caused me problems. The oral surgeons travel around DFW so that's why some people say they 'never see the same doctor working' at this location. I don't find this unusual - Dr.Nelson is an amazing doctor and is most likely in high demand. Came here because I wasn't having a good experience at my previous dental office. They're pretty efficient at starting you on time and the work is okay, but I seriously didn't even feel like I existed throughout my whole checkup.
After filling out my paperwork I was called into the room by a dental hygienist who only ever spoke to me to ask if anything has been bothering me. She then proceeded to examine my mouth and performed a lot of different tests in my mouth without even telling me what she was doing. I had no idea what was going on cause she wouldn't give me a chance

Dr. Tran was assigned to me as my dental student when I sought care at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA! He took great care of me! He filled multiple cavities, cleaned my teeth, and fabricated veneers to restore my smile. He did outstanding work (better than my former, more-experienced dentist)! Dr. Tran is an excellent dentist and a perfectionist! He also has a calming presence, he explains the procedures he is about to perform in a simple manner, and he is very patient with his clients! I recommend Dr. Tran to anyone who is seeking dental care!

I truly enjoyed my experience here at Sunnyvale Smiles! I was a bit nervous since it was my first dental visit in a while, but the whole staff was so friendly and welcoming! Dr.Tran was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all the treatment and alternatives thoroughly for me to understand. I definitely would recommend this location for anyone anxious about visiting the dentist!

I loath going to the dentist and have anxiety and panic attacks. They were very understanding and explained everything step by step to let me know what was happening.
They offered to just do one cavity to see how my anxiety went and used a shot that didn't have epinephrine to help with anxiety management.
After my cavity was filled I decided to have the root canal on the other tooth since I was doing so good.
So glad I did!! Root canal is done and I don't have to worry about getting it done anymore.
