Pathways is a contract agency of the Mental Health, Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Board of Putnam County. Pathways is a Partner Agency of the United Way of Putnam County. Pathways clinicians provide presentations to community groups and schools. Prevention, intervention and counseling services are provided to the Alternative Opportunity Center and prevention programs are available to all schools in Putnam County.
Services
Among the many services provided are referral and information, counseling, assessment, treatment, consultation, support and guidance. Specific mental health services include: psychiatric services, community support, mental health education, psychological evaluations, play therapy and pre-hospital screenings.
The Behavioral Health assessment is a process of gathering information to learn about a person's needs and ability to function in order to determine the best treatment for them. The assessment includes questions about the presenting problem, an evaluation of their current mental status, and the creation of a diagnostic impression.
Individual counseling services consist of a series of structured sessions where the counselor helps the client work toward their desired goals as identified in an individualized treatment plan developed specifically for the client's unique needs.
Services are available to all youth, adults and families who are experiencing problems with daily living or have been identified by community referrals (schools, juvenile courts, adult probation and parole) as a person in need of treatment services.Group counseling consist of services provided to clients with similar mental health or addiction issues.

Crisis Intervention is the process of responding to emergency situations and may include; assessment, immediate stabilization, and the determination of level of care in the least restrictive environment in a manner that is timely, responsive and therapeutic. Pathways maintains a close working relationship with local health care providers, the sheriff's office, emergency medical workers, and schools.
A Drug Free Workplace (DFW) setting is where all employees adhere to a program of policies and activities designed to provide a safe workplace, discourage alcohol and drug abuse and encourage treatment, recovery and the return to work of those employees with such abuse problems. The intent of the program is to educate adults on the problems relating to substance abuse.
