The best "scrambled" eggs I've ever had at a restaurant! No brown, moist, soft and buttery!
My issue was the pancakes, who ever made them 🤦♀️ cooked them too early, then left them in the window too long one of them was HARD, couldn't eat it! And it also had onions on it, come on now! They're supposed to be cooked on different parts of the flat top my dude/dudette!
The lamb is amazingly tender and beautifully cooked, it just needs more flavor. The breakfast potatoes could also use seasoning and care.
The mimosas are a perfect size!

Very disappointed with food. Not Greek food by any mean. Chicken souvlaki is just grilled chicken breast cut in stripes (picture attached). Comes very dry with little taste and no sauce. Tzatziki sauce is $2 extra for small portion for one person. Greek salad doesn't have potato salad. I had one olive, yay in it. Rice was barely warm and had little taste. More like a wild rice.

They have a small bar area available with wine and bottled draft beers. I got the Greek white and the Riesling which wee both very good.

Mediocre. Food was ok, nothing to write home about or make me specifically want to go back.
The ketchup bottle? Probably doesn't even need words. We asked for a new bottle. Believe it or not, that one got wiped down, filled, and brought back to the table. Gotta be kidding?!
Otherwise, service was decent and again, food ok.

After the zoo we decided to order some Greek food to go and I order a chicken plate with fries and salad it was very good! It's seriously enough food for two people! The reason I'm giving this place a three is because the serve was not pleasant and that's a huge deal for me. As a server you should always assume that it's a customers first time and example the menu or be polite but that wasn't our experience. But the food was very good so I would still recommend this place.

We were hungry after visiting the zoo and found this gem close to the area.
So glad we did! It was the highlight of our Buffalo arrival. We were greeted by nice and friendly hostesses, that took us to our table and then got a nice, friendly and attentive server (Michael) whom made our meal more enjoyable. He checked on us regularly and was helpful with any menu questions we had.
The restaurant is super busy and gets crowded, but the food and service made the wait worthwhile.

Kostas has definitely evolved from the little family hidden diamond in north Buffalo. The menu has become better and more polished in the 20 years I have been going there.
Food is fantastic! Especially the moussaka. I probably spelled that wrong but whatever.
The only reason I deducted a star is PARKING SUCKS. Y'all really need to work out a parking arrangement with the M&T or Walgreens across the street.

I had a great experience with Deanna, our server, once we sat down.. she actually gets her own personal 5 stars. The hostess who called everyone's names was EXTREMELY unpleasant and rude. She gave me significant attitude when I questioned how much time left before we were able to sit down.. I had to ask her in front of her manager if everything was ok because it seemed as though I had done something wrong. She immediately changed up her disposition and was over the top fake nice when she called our party's name.

There were tons of people waiting to get a table but we really only waited about 15 minutes for a three top which was awesome! Food was great, Although I had the eggs Benedict and the eggs were pretty cooked and not at all that drippy. Also the waiter forgot we were his table so we had to wait a while to get our check. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though because it was pretty busy.

Instead of cooking late breakfast this morning, we decided to go out for lunch at Kostas.
Parking is...what you can expect for Hertel Avenue. I had to go/turn around only once and then I found a parking spot!
As soon as we walked in, we were seated immediately (surprisingly). The restaurant was busy, but luckily for us, there were still open tables. The waitress was kind of new, but very friendly. We ordered the Breakfast Souvlaki and Bagel and Lox.

I was driving down Hertel Ave this morning after a little too much tequila last night so I decided I needed breakfast. I spotted Kostas and decided to stop. I haven't been there in over 10 years.
Definitely was not disappointed. They seated me right away. I decided to be outside to watch the people walking by. The server came over right away and got me coffee which I desperately needed LOL. I ordered an omelet with the eggs well done it comes with home frys and toast.

We have been getting takeout from Kostas all year since Covid and it continues to be a monthly (if not weekly) staple.
The chicken souvlaki dinner is huge and my husband and I split it, with chicken usually leftover.
Breakfast at the restaurant is always a favorite as well. They have one of the best people watching patios on Hertel. Fresh squeezed oj is worth the extra $!

Came here with my daughter for a weekday lunch. As per usual, I ordered the chicken souvlaki salad because they make a consistently good, fresh and HUGE salad. The Greek dressing is great and the pita always fresh. My daughter ordered chicken fingers from the kid's menu. She was happy that the two large fingers came with fries, carrots and blue cheese.

Excellent breakfast food - I had never thought to out smoked salmon in an omelette - genius! So tasty with the capers and feta cheese.
My friend ordered their signature breakfast and it's a huge portion of all the standards - eggs, bacon, toast, home fries and pancakes - all very good
I felt they took all the necessary COVID-19 precautions.

Early breakfast on gorgeous November day! Nothing about this visit that I didn't like and honestly it has been many, many years since I've been! Current covid protocols are followed. Friendly and fast service. The food was delicious! Chicken souvlaki breakfast for me. 2 egg breakfast for my friend. We both enjoyed or meals, they had no problem with our special requests.

Worked at Kostas many many moons ago and it is one of the best souvlaki spots in Buffalo. I'm talking award winning. I always laugh when I go to other greek restaurants and they make a big deal like being a chopped winner and then having their steak souvlaki, Kostas is where it is at. Having been living in Queens NYC for the past couple years I always have to come back home for my steak souvlaki.
This morning ordered the beef souvlaki breakfast and it was delicious. Along with the fresh squeezed OJ. The beef is so flavorful and just overall delicious, you also must get the feta with it.
