One of the best Indian 🇮🇳 restaurants in New York. Love the location and the staff was super friendly. It is a well kept neat and clean restaurant and food tastes delicious. We ordered paneer tikka and chicken tikka masala along with some naan. They gave us complimentary rice with the food as well.

We stopped by for lunch on a chance visit and was so happy about our experience that we are talking about returning for it. We had lamb vindaloo, goat masala, lamb sausage kebab, a lentil soup, mango lassi, and chai, all of which were wonderful and still make my mouth watering as I'm typing. The lentil soup came with a cute heated pot and in its golden glory warmed me up from within on a windy winter day. The mango lassi was thick and rich but not too sweet, which is perfect for us. The lamb vindaloo had a lot of flavor and HEAT. We had the leftover bread and lentil (both were on the house

I came in with high expectations, especially since one of my friends visited last year and spoke very highly of this place. It's unfortunate that we both left somewhat disappointed; with her apologizing to our group saying it was much better the last time she came.
It wasn't terrible, but overall, there was a lot left to be desired.
We were a party of 6 and booked in advance. When arrived though, we were told a couple times (before even ordering) that due to a busy evening and high expected number of bookings, we were limited to 90 mins - with the clock starting as soon as our food

Made reservations for Friday at 7pm. When we arrived they didn’t even check if we had reservations. The place was maybe half full. Around 8 it was packed. The food is very good and the portions are huge. I ended up taking home half of my entree. I think I would definitely go back here. The reason I’m not giving 4 or 5 stars is because service was incredibly slow. We had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and after the food came out we didn’t get a water refill for probably an hour. We also had to chase someone down to bring us a check. I suppose there are worse things

I wish I could give more than 5 stars to this amazing restaurant. Not only is the food affordable but it's super yum in taste. Also the owner is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered 2 lunch special which comes with one appetiser, one entree with side of naan and rice. We got samosa, dahi papdi & paneer tikka (ordered separately) for appetiser and diwani handi, shahi paneer for entree . It came with rice and naan. The quantity is very generous even in lunch special that's why I am not sure if I would ever order from the menu. The food was amazing in taste, not too spicy and the

A place to visit to taste Indian food. We tried
- Kashmiri Kabab: beet root made kabab. Bit sweet and was very soft. taste delicious.
- Achari Bhindi which came with rice: it was full masaledar
- Dal tadka: it was ok, we found it blend
- Naan : this was tandoori like any other naan
-Bullet Naan : must try thing in the restaurant. It was crispy namak mirchi paratha kind.
- mango lassi: it was more sweet than expected.
Ambience was elegant. Service was prompt
Overall we loved it.

I've tried three Indian places in FiDi and this is the best.
Only con of this place that isn't even really a con is the portion sizes are huge. You can easily make a meal and a half or two out of one dish with a nan on the side.
Pros of this place:
* Great food
* Huge portion sizes
* Great service
* Spicy food is very spicy
I recommend getting the lamb vindaloo if you like spicy food. That's my go to.

Ordered for pick up on Diwali since I wanted to something festive. I ordered the paneer makhani (requested this to be spicy), garlic naan and papadum. The quantity was surprisingly a lot more than I thought I would get. The paneer came with rice and the papadum came with green and tamarind chutneys. I was hoping the paneer was creamier and spicier - it is more tangy than creamy and rich. However it did the job and I would probably do it again.

Visited for dinner on a Thursday night and there was plenty of seating. Servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered khasta gobi and Papdi chat for appetizers along with some cocktails. The khasta gobi and Varanasi cocktail were delicious! For entrees we got malai kofta and garlic naan. We were pretty full by then so took most of it to go. Overall great experience, I definitely want to come back for brunch!

Still amazing food. Still cooked at the highest quality. But if you are going to order take out, DO NOT BOTHER. They pay absolutely no attention to the front. Only two guys in here only paying attention to the dine in customers. Ive been waiting for my order for 30 mins after they said it would be ready. And absolutely no one even asked why im standing here. If i couldve gotten a refund i woulda left 15 mins ago.

Nice Indian Food Option in Manhattan Downtown. Manager was very friendly and assisted in reservation and setting up our team. This is one of our surprise dinner event for our manager, it turned out to be great location and food. Nice options for Veg and Non-Veg folks, definitely will recommend this hotel for the folks in the area.

Came here with a group of friends and all the food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the shrimp biryani and it was so flavorful and filling. You'll definitely get enough for a take away box! We got a really good cauliflower appetizer along with a plethora of other things. I think getting a little bit of everything would be the best route here because everything was so good. And of you're a drinker, I recommend getting a lychee martini.

I have tried India food several times in Pittsburgh. It was not that great and it was heavy on my stomach. I went here for lunch with coworkers.
It was pleasantly much better than the others I have tried. The food was delicious. I recommend if you're in the area try this place out. The service was excellent.

It has it all. Let me start by saying, "We went here solely based on our friends recommendation and let me tell you; They did not disappoint. This review is for a large party reservation." They went above & beyond to make it a blast for us.
Spoke to Atin while making the reseveration, super nice & very helpful. Follow up calls with Prasad who is the manager, again very attentive. On the day itself Ankit took care of us along with our sever whose name I forgot.
Ambience-decent, they even have outdoor seating, restrooms were clean, large & has a water decor inside it. Food

This place started off very shaky to the point where I was going to leave. However they did redeem themselves frim the middle to end. I think they overly booked themselves and were very understaffed however the food was impeccable and the manager went out of his way to make things right in the end. Thank you for an amazing time and I wish you another 70 years in business. I would recommend going to this place for a very nice dinner

This review is for the take out ONLY. I ordered it through Door Dash, so not too sure if it's the same menu/prices or not, so please keep that in mind. I was having a pretty big birthday party indoors for around 20 guests. We actually ordered from several places to give more diversity and variety, but the food here was definitely a hit! I have lots of Indian and Pakistan friends here in the city, so they were able to talk about how good and authentic the food was.

Was excited to try out this spot, so visited for dinner on a Friday. We were a bit surprised to see the restaurant pretty much empty, even at 8:30 PM. They started us off with fryums, which were soggy (potentially been sitting outside for a while). We had to inform our server and he replaced them with crispier ones. We ordered the paneer tikka and the lamb seekh kabab for starters. The paneer tikka, when it was first served to us, looked like marinated pieces of paneer that hadn't been on the grill, as each piece lacked char. Additionally, paneer tikka is supposed to come with onions and peppers

I've honestly been waiting until dinning opens up to experience the wonderful things I've heard about Benares. Yes, their staff is BEYOND amazing. Yes, their drinks are to die for! I got the Lychee Lover and my boyfriend got the whiskey twist. Yes, their food is beyond this world. The achari chicken in non-veg app literally melts in your mouth!
Quick tip for all my spicy food lovers: make sure to order the Malai Kofta spicy since it naturally comes sweet. I promise this is the best thing you'll ever have. Even the kofta balls were bomb.
I will 100% coming back to dine outdoors

Yelpers help this place stay in business. The pandemic has left lower Manhattan a ghost town. This place has always been a favorite of our work crew. Payday Indian food as we liked to call it. And as always we are super happy they're back open for indoor dining. They serve some of the best Indian food in TriBeCa! The service is always on point and friendly. The sauces are delicious and fresh tasting and the naan is always made fresh, so warm, crusty and soft, perfect for dipping in delicious sauce. Portion are extremely satisfying. If you're nearby stop on in to help them stay open.

We ended up in this Indian restaurant because the coffee place we wanted to go to was closed. From coffee to Indian, why not? Anyway, I ordered the Masala Tea before we have food. Close to grabbing a coffee I guess. The tea was very milky and I can smell the fragrance of the various spice, but I wish it was a bit stronger. Those who prefer milder scent might like it though.
After a while we finally ordered some food. Had Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, and Naan Bread. Apparently it comes with rice
* Chicken Tikka Masala was more sweet than spicy (personal opinion, but I know I eat really spicy
