We got there on Saturday night and it was mad busy. We didn’t have a reservation so we decided to eat outside as they didn’t have space inside. They have heaters outside, but it was still cold. Our bruschetta was brought to us after we had our entrees because they forgot about it. They tried compensating with complementary tiramisu, but we would rather get a reduced check as an apology as we got a dessert to share ourselves. The food was good, but nothing special. Pasta was kind of plain. Pizza was good. As for me, just a little overpriced.

This restaurant is a gem for pasta! This is my second time here and I feel like the experience was even better than the first time. My fiancé and I ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer to share. They were SOOOO delicious!! They were a mix of sweet and savory and cooked perfectly so it was nice and crispy. They were probably the best brussel sprouts I've ever had.
We also each got our own pasta: pistachio pesto and fettuccine bolognese. Both pastas were so tasty! They had huge portions so we had to take the leftovers home. I would recommend coming here! They also had outdoor seating with

Their outdoor seating area was empty when when we arrived on a weekday evening, but luckily the restaurant was accommodating and allowed us to sit outside (our preference due to COVID) and set up the heaters so that we were comfortable. Indoors is dimly lit, tastefully decorated, and very intimate, but the outdoor area is also really aesthetically pleasing. I think this would be a perfect first date spot.
Gelso & Grand doesn't have an exceptionally extensive menu compared to others in Little Italy, but the menu is well-rounded and includes a lot of safe options.

If you are in little Italy- you have to eat here. It's not touristy or tacky at all. The vibes are low key, yet classy.
What we ordered: we each had an aperol spritz which was great, but ya know- a normal aperol spritz. For our meal, we ordered the Quattro formagio pizza and cacio e pepe. My bf thought the pizza was the best, but I loved the pasta. Both were amazing!
We finished the night with tiramisu. It was great, but not worth $10 imo.
The service was just okay, but we didn't mind one bit since the food was soooo delicious!

My go-to pasta at Italian restaurants is anything with vodka sauce. Their Rigatoni alla Vodka with Meatballs has got to be one of the best I've had in the city. It's a solid 10/10. Perfectly creamy and well seasoned. The meatballs were a nice touch.
I honestly wasn't expecting much from the pizza, as I much rather prefer pasta, but the Truffle pizza BLEW ME AWAY. You must order! I told my friends to try a bite and they were stunned at how good this is!! You can definitely taste the truffle. Honestly the best pizza I've had in NYC. It was THAT good.

I've sat in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Ordering in is never guaranteed to be just as good. This was my first time having the spaghetti and meatballs. It totally hit the spot. The sauce is perfectly coated onto the pasta and the meatballs were great. Perfect craving fix!
I decided to take a pic halfway into it. I scarfed this down!

Some of the most delicious pasta that I've ever had! I love that they make everything fresh, and the angel hair consistency of their pomodoro is to die for. Great sized portions, and a lot of different things to choose from. It's a fun space too with outdoor, indoor, and downstairs seating. I'll definitely be back!

Really wanted to like this restaurant as the atmosphere is intimate and warm--a nice respite from the bustling Little Italy surroundings.
They are known for their pasta dishes of which have been rated highly on Yelp and Instagram.
I decided to try the Pistachio Pesto served with linguini. While the pasta may be fresh, linguini is not the pasta that should be paired with such an overpowering pesto. The kitchen must have squeezed a WHOLE lemon over my dish because the citrus was so strong...the menu said this dish would be spicy but I definitely didn't taste that.

Went there for a casual lunch while shopping in SoHo and the food didnot disappoint. The place filled up fast. We got the mushroom pizza which was a great touch with the banana peppers. The pistachio pesto pasta was great too, could have been spicier. For appetizer we got the pear salad which was amazing! Very well balanced and not sweet at all. We finished our meals with capuccino and eveb the orange chocilate biscotti was very yummy! I woukd recommend this place.

Loved it here. We stumbled upon it randomly here, and so happy we did!their spicy kale Caesar salad is top two for my for kale salads I've ever had(if a restaurant has a kale salad you know I'm trying it). It was phenomenal. Their truffle mushroom arancini balls were also phenomenal, and I wish I would have gotten two orders of them. Their espresso martini was also good. Overall I'll definitely come back here and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.
The decor inside was also very cool and earthy which I loved. Very good vibes all around.
Now to figure out how to recreate the arancini

Gelso & Grand has a pretty interior and a nice atmosphere. We arrived around 3:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (after asked to show vaccine cards). We ordered the Margherita pizza, eggplant caponata bruschetta, spaghetti pomodoro, Brussels sprouts, and kale Caesar salad.
My favorite dish was the Brussels sprouts. The honey sauce was so good. I personally prefer wood fired pizza (this was brick oven) and I wish the sauce on the pizza was richer. It was not very flavorful. The same goes for the pasta sauce, but the spaghetti itself was good. The pasta at Gelso & Grand is house

A perfect afternoon treat after a bit of walking. I ordered the bone marrow bruschetta and it did not disappoint. Neither did the Super Tuscan glass of wine. The bone marrow was of course rich, melty, and buttery. I also loved the gremolata and pickled red onion that lightened it up a bit on the crunchiest bread ever. So tasty! The service was attentive but not overly so...sometimes you just want to enjoy and be left alone, and it was perfect.

I’ve been going here for years; always good food + good vibes at Gelso. The open concept set up is absolutely beautiful, I love how they set up the bar. The attention to detail at G&G is unmatched, from their service to the food and even the little design details. They have a vast private dining space downstairs with its own bar & a photo booth set up. During my recent visit I really enjoyed the meatball, the burrata dish & the pesto pasta. Soooo tasty! This def hit the spot for my post-weekend Sunday carb load. I recommend Gelso & Grand.

Gelso & Grand is now my favorite spot in NYC!
Delicious food, friendly service, Our waitress was so great and attentive, and beautiful space. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, brussel sprouts, Cesar salad, spaghetti with meatballs, blueberry cheesecake, and a giant cannoli. Everything was awesome. The pizza was very fresh and made to order. Portions are reasonable!
Overall it was a good experience and I will visit you again in my next visit!

First time here last night and it was wonderful! Whenever I make reservations at a place, I usually stare at their menu and read reviews to daydream about what I want to order. Normal? I don't care lol. I had seen a few reviews about them charging for water and making people feel rushed. Our waitress specifically said that tap water was complimentary. Transparency! And while servers were regularly checking on us and clearing our plates and used silverware, I did not at all feel like we were being rushed. To me it just seemed like they were paying attention and making sure our table had room for

Beautiful atmosphere tucked into a corner of Little Italy. Gelso & Grand is trendy, but not annoyingly so, thus it stands out amongst the more traditional Italian establishments and other trendy spots in the area. The service I received throughout my dinner from three separate attendants was excellent, and the food (I ordered spaghetti and meatballs) was everything I wanted it to be.
I look forward to coming back here next time friends visit the city. Until then, I'll just have to keep finding excuses to wander down to Mulberry Street.

My boyfriend was feeling Italian and it did not disappoint! I made a reservation via Resy and was able to snag a reservation day of. Restaurant is located in little Italy with a bunch of cute restaurants, shops, and desserts! There were many seating options. Indoor requires the vaccination cards. Staff are friendly and attentive. Note: they charged for still water (what?! I know). But if you check in using Yelp, you get 10% off your bill. Anyways on to the food.
Pistachio pasta: delicious! Tastes fresh & not too much sauce. 5/5
Inferno pizza: spicy and yummy! I would recommend if you can
