The original estimate they gave me over the phone for a brake job was $200 less than my dealership. Once they took a look at my car the estimate jumped to more than $300 MORE than my dealership. They also tried to add on things like windshield wipers which clearly aren't part of the braking system. I won't be going back. The only up side of the experience was the friendliness of the staff.

I recently purchased a new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe off the dealer's lot. Unfortunately, it did not have a trailer hitch which I need for hauling our bikes and the occasional towing of small trailers. I've used Marty and Hills & Dales Auto for routine oil changes and tire rotations so I had no hesitation going to him - versus the OEM - for the installation. As usual, I wasn't disappointed. A quality job, done when promised!

The business tactic here seems to be charge people good prices the first time they come to get a service done, with parts sold nearly at cost, then in subsequent visits charge that customer triple those prices. it's skeezy and dishonest, and potentially financially ruinous. if you've gone once you probably had a great time, but do yourself a favor and find somewhere else that prices things reasonably.

Marty the owner is super and Marty the manager is also great. Just an oil change this time, but I've used H&D for many years. They never try to sell you things you don't need and warm you about items that need attention. They do a thorough check on every vehicle and give you a full rundown on it. Wouldn't think of taking my vehicles anywhere else.

I've never heard anything bad about this business, and have had it recommended to me by 3 different people who have taken their vehicles here multiple times. I finally took my car here on 3/5/18 to get new wheel bearings for both of my front wheels. Monro had quoted me over $800 for this when they noticed it while doing an oil change. At Hills and Dales Auto Care, they quoted me $630. When they put my car up on the rack, they noticed it only needed ONE wheel bearing, not two like Monro said. As a result, I paid $315 out the door. I definitely appreciate the honest and professional service

This place is terrible, nothing but crooks! My Father took his car in for an oil change and they broke his brake line and made him pay for it. After they replaced the brake line they forgot to replace the oil that they drained and he drove it home. When the took it back they made him pay for the repairs for that as well. A basic oil change ended up costing him over $3,000.00.

Update. Hills and dales charged me $440 to replace 4 U-bolts. (Please review the copy of the receipt posted as my first picture) (Parts stores sell sets of U-bolts for well under $50. (Please see the second picture I posted) I brought my truck to a more honest reputable shop in town and showed them the $440 U-bolts that Hills and Dales allegedly replaced. Turns out the ones on my truck were the same old rusty, thread worn OEM U-bolts put on this truck many years before. So not only did these criminals charge an outrageous price they actually put old used U-bolts back on my truck. U-bolts are a

You know anyplace that has so many commercials passes those costs along...so be read for $$$$. They are friendly - BUT...they don't have a clue what they're doing!
They broke my car and didn't say a word about it. I even told them about the item and they still managed to break it.....and don't think it was that easy. Just Stupid
Never again! Rather have a mechanic not-so-friendly who knows what doing and does well....vs....smiling face idiot.

I'm temporarily live in the area, and a contact of mine recommended Hills and Dales as a reliable and safe place to take my car. I've lived in Philly and DC and have had bad experience with autoshops, so I am very particular about where I take my car. They fixed my breaks and welded back my muffler and it was reasonably priced. They've been in business forever and have a lot of mechanics so I got my car back quickly as well. Highly recommend.
