La Betty
La Betty is the family-owned sister restaurant to Baked&Wired and A Baked Joint, opened in 2019. We celebrate simple, good cooking straight from the hearts of the USA and Mexico. Who is she? Betty is the person who raised you and me. She gives us the power to keep our heads high and fight for what we believe in, to be strong and compassionate, to be fair and respectful, to be honest and nurturing.

She cooks with love because she knows it starts with the little moments, at the table over a good meal, where we can make the world a better place. Our American menu brings you heartfelt foods straight from our grandmother's kitchen in Ohio. Our Mexican menu sources heirloom varieties of native maiz from sustainable farming communities in Mexico.

La Betty's menu is a mix of rustic, German, and Mexican food, all very reasonably priced and delicious. Everything I've had has been good - corn dogs, duck taco, cauliflower taco, roast chicken, veggie burger, schnitzel sandwich, scallop ceviche. As you can see, the menu is varied and has something for pretty much everyone. Friendly service, and a really cool building - think modern ski lounge. Hard to beat the quality and value here.

Unfortunately, I’m writing this review as I’m still waiting for my food 40 minutes after ordering. Also, the table next to us has been dirty the entire time since we sat down.

Wow! What a great dining experience my husband and I had. It's our first time to dine here. A friendly waiter and amazing flavorful food! We had herb chicken, chicken schnitzel, hand cut fries, and twice baked potato. All was seasoned to perfection and nicely presented! I highly recommend this place!

This place was all around GREAT. It was empty, so we were suspicious, but the food was perfect. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and super flavor. Ribs are my fav and these were shockingly good. My boyfriend had the chicken schnitzel sammie and it was PIPING hot, super flavorful and fresh. It was so good he reminisced about the sandwich more than 24 hours later. Lol. And the fries were perfectly crispy. So glad we stumbled upon La Betty on a walk.

Loved this place. Ordered the mini corn dogs as a starter and the Betty Burger. It was probably one of the best burgers I've had and loved their mini corn dogs as well. Friendly staff made it a welcoming environment. Will definitely come back.

This restaurant was so amazing I can't even get over how great the food was. I went here with two friends and we shared a few different dishes off the menu. They have a wide variety of different things including fun corndogs, delicious chicken, amazing arugula salad and creamy mac & cheese. It was so good that I couldn't leave without taking food to go. We also had some of their amazing drinks! Also the service was amazing, our waitress Brittany was absolutely incredible she was so kind and attentive. I will 100% be bringing friends and family here in the future. I can't wait

I was so excited to try this spot and WOW am I so glad we did. The ambiance was incredible, the staff was beyond outstanding and the food was delicious. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, the burger was juicy and SO filling, and the salad was so refreshing. The BETTY SAUCE?! Come on what is that stuff it’s sooooo good!!!!! I loved the drinks in their own little bottle. Now the staff- they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, answered all of our questions and were so attentive. We absolutely will be coming back! Highly recommend.

Hearty soul food, the Veggie Burger and Herb Bird are bursting with flavor. Get the Downeast Winterfest Cider! Great concept and nice extension of Baked Joint and Baked & Wired with an upscale ambiance.

Among the best Veggie Burgers in the city and so refreshing not to see another Beyond Meat or Impossible Burger patty. The crispy breaded veggie patty had a great blend of flavor from bulgar, red beans, mushrooms, and cashews. While the bland Swiss cheese didn't do too much, the La Betty sauce, buttered bun, and classic lettuce, tomato, red onion elevated the flavor.

My hubby thoroughly

When they say it feels like you are eating in the owner's house, they aren't kidding. Down home cooking. Bread phenomenal, great portions. We will be back!

From the creators of D.C. best cupcake (Baked & Wired) and breakfast biscuit (A Baked Joint) comes a family dinner restaurant in Mount Vernon Triangle. It's a family-friendly restaurant with stunning design that appeals to all crowds. However, it's takeout only during the pandemic, but you get a glimpse when you go inside to safely pick up your food.
Where La Betty shines is with the sides. We ordered two sides that were outstanding- the caramelized cauliflower mash and the broccoli.
The main dishes weren't bad either. My chicken schnitzel sammie was pretty big with great flavor. My wife's Betty

La Betty was a very great neighborhood spot for Valentines Day dinner. The menu was the same as their normal dinner service, save for a few dessert specials. The atmosphere is casual and low key. The food is delicious, while not breaking the bank like some restaurants that have special prix fixe menus - which is important for me as someone in their early-mid 20s. The menu is small, but everything is done well.

My girlfriend and I went relatively healthy and split an autumn salad as an appetizer. It was a good salad - light and refreshing.

For my main course, I had the roast with spaetzle and

La Betty is a great casual neighborhood spot that serves some lovely dishes from the owners of Baked and Wired and abakedjoint. Went to the soft launch night and had a great time trying a wide range of the dishes they have to offer, and liked almost all of them. The service was excellent and very receptive to feedback, and I’ll definitely be returning soon to try more.

Love the ambience of this place. Super cool layout along with funky light fixtures. You keep getting topped up with beers untill you cover your glass with a coaster. Our server was great. Wish the beer glasses were a little bigger, found my self finishing the little glasses fast. Got the schnitzel which was delicious. The devil eggs were a great starter.

Stopped for food & cocktails during happy hour. The food was delicious, cocktails were great, and service was impeccable. I really enjoyed the outdoor seating, too. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

My DC friend was very excited to try this place for dinner because of its affiliation with A Baked Joint and her positive experiences with happy hour. However, the food did not seem to justify the price tag. The $10 side of fries really irked me from the start. (Were 10 potatoes worth of fries going to come out? Does the betty sauce have gold flake in it? I am still confused...) Luckily my friend ordered the burger, which came with fries, so I did not have to compromise my values and order a side for the table. The fries were quite good though, the perfect texture and ratio of crispiness to softness

Fries with special house sauce are a must. The burger wasn’t amazing, but the chicken schnitzel topped with salad and honey mustard vinaigrette was very good and cooked perfectly.
Blue cheese wedge salad was delicious as well. Didn’t love that the wine was served in cocktail glasses, or that our appetizer came out with the mains, but the very welcoming service staff helped make up for these minor issues.

Stopped in here last night for dinner and overall wasn't impressed.

The restaurant itself is quite nice but the menu is very small, doesn't seem to go with the atmosphere and leaves a little to be desired. I walked away wondering if it was suppose to be fine dining, a burger spot or what. I had read in a review it was dinnerish but you don't get that vibe at all.

I was excited to eat outside but the patio closes at 10:00 pm (although we weren't told this until they were letting us know we needed to leave or be moved inside) so make sure you don't sit outside if you
