Whether you're repairing damage from an accident or just looking for a change of color, Canyon Auto has you covered. Using a Chief Automotive Technologies frame machine, with laser measuring system, we can bring your damaged vehicle back to pre-accident condition. In conjunction, we also utilize a state-of-the-art paint booth that includes a bake unit to provide an accurate, solid finish.
Your car needs care and attention throughout its life to keep it healthy and running properly. Sometimes you'll get a warning light, but other times you may begin to notice a change in performance. In any case, Canyon Auto is prepared to maintain or repair your vehicle. We are a dealer alternative, we perform all manufacturer's scheduled services: 30, 60 & 90K miles.
Our comprehensive brake inspection includes checking your brake discs, rotors, brake fluid and hydraulic system. We use only ceramic brake pads. Besides being quieter, ceramic brake pads handle extremely high temperatures with little fade, allowing them to recover quickly and cause less damage to the rotors.
The clutch is typically a very hardy piece of equipment, but over the life of a vehicle, it will still need replacement. If your car has trouble accelerating up hills or if you notice moments where the engine revs without your input, you probably need a new clutch. Canyon Auto can diagnose and repair your clutch problems.
Every car must undergo Manufacturer Scheduled Maintenance every 30k miles to maintain a long and useful life. Canyon Auto is fully equipped to perform this regular maintenance to maximize your car's performance and help you get the most out of it.

Our manufacturer scheduled maintenence includes: spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, air filter, cabin air filter, fuel filter, tire rotation and balance, wiper blades, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transfer case fluid, front and rear differential fluid, and coolant.By properly maintaining your vehicle, you'll reduce future repair costs, optimize your car's performance, maintain its value and extend its life.

Jim and his team are sound mechanics who deliver prompt and quality work at a fair price. This is enough for me to keep doing business with him. But on top of that, Jim is focused on giving good financial advice. I'd go so far as to say that he takes a fiduciary role (for car repairs) in that he has discouraged me from doing work that he thinks isn't worthwhile (such as replacing a battery prematurely) or today he recommended that I take a small key problem to a key shop where they would charge less. I personally recommend you take your car to Canyon.

Good people!! very helpful and considerate, I had bad experience with shops in my time but this shop text me and lets me know the status of the work through text. Definitely new to this experience. I came to Portland to spend time with some family for thanksgiving, even though it was the holidays they worked me in there schedule and they got it done. So thanks to the canyon auto repair shop I’m able to make it home safe stress free….

Had a bit of a struggle to fix the A/c on my f150. I wasn't completely satisfied so I called Jim back and told him. This is a great, honest auto repair shop. I have taken my 1999 Honda Accord here a few times in the last 3 years and have been impressed each time by the customer service the owner, mechanics, and technicians display. For example, the first time I stopped by the shop, the mechanic noticed my car was low on oil. He added a pint or two and that resolved the issues I had observed. He wouldn't accept payment for diagnostic services or the oil and just suggested I bring it back the next time I need any work done. So you better believe I've been bringing it back ever since, even just for routine oil

They were so willing to fit me in the very next day to replace my battery on my hybrid, when the dealership said it would be a 10 day wait! They were helpful and honest- they never even suggested to upcharge me for anything that I did not need. I will DEFINITELY recommend them and they are now my ‘Go to Auto Repair’

I brought my car in because I couldnt figure out what the issue was and they diagnosed it in under 20 minutes. minus a wait period for the piece to come in, this group was punctual, informative and answered any questions I had. I brought both my vehicles in for possible repairs. Jim is one of the most knowledgeable and honest service repair manager's I have dealt with. After the inspection of both cars there were numerous problems, but rather than trying to sell me repairs, he explained that they would run more than the car might be worth in the long run. I wasn't charged for the work they did. I would recommend this shop to anyone and will return there whenever I need service.

I suggested my son take my Honda Element to this shop to replace the electric window motor because it was listed as a AAA certified shop and offered a 10% discount on labor. They presented a quote/work order but neither my son or the shop discussed AAA discount. I told my son to ask about it when it was time to pay and whoever was collecting the money said he would have had to say something prior to acknowledging the work order. Really??? I was very disappointed. I thought they where great they where recommend by a friend. Then I took my vehicle to Les Schwab to get tires and I asked them to replace the break pads canyon said I needed. Turns out I didn't need any of the work they recommend or completed done. I spent 2000 dollars in repairs. Being a single mom with three teenagers that money could have been used elsewhere.

Great service in general from customer service to vehicle service they did the job quick and easy hassle free very accommodating to my busy schedule. They are very honest and reliable, definitely will be going back for future services and will send all my family and friends to their shop as well. They earned every single one of these 5 stars honestly owner took me in and hung out till the job got done, appreciate it very much. I took my truck in to have the right wheel bearing replaced. I knew what was wrong with it when I took it in. They said they would need to drive it and evaluate it. They kept it overnight and said that I needed new brake calipers and rotors too. I took their advice and had them repair all of it.

I picked it up drove it home the wheel bearing is still making noise so I call them. The manager says that he's busy he'll have to look at my records and call me back. Never does. I finally got tired of it and just took it to Les Schwab and let them fix it for me that way I know it will be done

Ive been in twice now and have researched my issue/s ahead of time. I have never felt uneasy about the explanations offered by Jim, the manager. The shop is timely and has a quick turn around. Costs are reasonable for all vehicles. Professionalism is great! I highly recommend this shop, which is located adjacent to Hwy 217 in a small alley.

I bought a 1989 Chevy S10 truck, took it in to get a once over and have some work done on it, as it hadn't been cared for much by previous owners. Had shocks replaced, bearings, serpentine belt, turn signals fixed, ignition key replaces and brake fluid flush and oil changed. Jim gave me a great price and often managed to find a way to lower the price just a bit without compromising on quality. The car handles much better and is a much smoother and safer ride for what a great classic truck it is. I have really appreciated both Jim and Hans kind, funny attitudes throughout the process.

Canyon Auto Repair is a busy shop meaning they are trusted with peoples very important mode of transportation, as evident of my first visit at the beginning of the year for maintenance and repair indicator lights. I was in a bind for its was the 30th of December and was asked to leave my Honda Civic for test and repair determination. However, I needed to have a way to my job on Monday very early. The resourceful folks Garret and Kevin at Canyon Auto Repair have a rental vehicle that I was lucky to have been able to use while my vehicle was in repair. Nothing but good to say about this shop. The owner Lee is one of the most accommodating people I have experienced. In being in a car accident in my brand new car, he was very comforting in a time when I was very upset and made sure to help me out with insurance, loaner car during the repair time and even helped me with the auto adjuster. He even offered to take time out of his hectic day and offer to take me to lunch.

During the repair time, he frequently updated me on the status of my car. As well as the car notifications, Lee personally notified me of more information before my insurance company

Second time ive called for work on my car and they can never give me a price for the work. Each time i have called they say that they are gana call me back for a quote. They are just a waste of time. I could have gotten my car fixed a long time ago. I work alot so i cant just go whenever i feel like it. So i waited for a call back an never got one. I guess they are not about there money or do they keep their word. I almost never do bad reviews but i dont like getting the run around. Very unprofessional.

Aside from being really expensive they don't honor the work they do, my engine cover wasn't reinstalled correctly from a previous repair and hot air and fumes from engine compartment were allowed to enter the drivers compartment..
During the latest repair the van was raised by the frame which unloaded the suspension and during this time the spring shackle rotated almost 90 degrees, it's quite visible from outside the vehicle and i can't help but notice if something is wrong, it wasn't like that when i brought it in but was twisted when it came back out, i was told that

This is my much-belated review. My Mazda overheated in November and needed to be towed. A tire store next to where I broke down recommended Canyon Auto.
After much poking around, it was discovered I would need a new engine (gulp!!!!). They found a used engine for us and gave us a quote.
All the staff at Canyon Auto were patient with us as we hummed and hawed, and weren't sure about spending that much money on a 7 yr old car. They kept us updated every step of the way and were all very courteous and friendly.
Car has had the "new to us" engine for almost 2 months now, and it works

I contacted this place through Yelp. Within minutes Lee, the owner, wrote back to me telling me to come in the next day for an estimate. I had already called about 5 repair shops in the area and they were booked out two weeks. I had a short time frame and Lee was able to accommodate. Not only did they quote less than the other places I talked to, my car looked fantastic.

One of the workers walked me through everything they quoted me for and told me how they would fix certain things. For someone who does not understand vehicles all that much, this was super helpful. I would definitely recommend

I usually take my car to the dealership where I bought my car. Yes, you usually get treated like a king, but it is always at a cost. They overcharge on parts and labor. Why not take it to a smaller shop that has equal customer service, quality, and competitive pricing? Someone referred me to this shop, so I decided to get a quote.
