Sushi Densha

I've been here twice and both times it was pretty empty. But the service and friendly and mostly prompt except for the fried chicken bowl, which took a little longer to cook. The food is good and definitely unique (it's truly Asian fushion). And it's a good price for sushi in the area. Both times they also have me a complimentary sample of a unique dish they were promoting.

Best sushi in Frederick hands down. Good staff. Always clean. I just wish they would bring back the lunch buffet 😩

Inside the restaurant is dark and gloomy, it did not feel welcoming or inviting. They gave me Miso soup and a free "sample" of sushi that was deep fried crab with a drizzle of Eel sauce. I should have left at that moment. Food isn't bad but isn't good either. The Gyoza are crispy and tasty but come with the smallest amount of sauce possible. I am not pleased. I ordered to go and most of the rolls were falling apart. But, that’s not the worst of it. I ordered some of the toro items, excited a establishment was serving it. All of the toro items were subbed with maguro with out telling me and I charged the same amount. That’s straight up unethical. Lastly the rice was under seasoned. This isn’t a great sushi establishment.

Atmosphere was quite pleasant. Server was very tentative. The menu was quite nice with a lot of different options. Food was very well plated, and presented very nice. The miso soup that came with the meal was very good. Seen in pervious reviews that this was an all you can eat establishment. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!! Worst sushi ever!!!! We ordered for pick up and when we opened the tray we found a hair in it. I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady Angelina who answered started acting like she didn’t understand what I was talking about. After explaining the simple thing that I found a disgusting hair in my food she started saying that maybe it wasn’t a hair, that was something else, when clearly I know what I saw. My buddy and I visited SushiDensha for lunch and it was just as good as always. Before being seated, our temperature was taken and then we were seated. As we waited for our drinks, we were given complimentary soup and a fried crab roll. The fried crab roll was so good that I ordered another with my meal. For my main course, I got the tiger roll and rock n roll. Both were phenomenal and I even brought some home. Great food, great service and affordable prices. Defiantly come to SushiDensa if you're looking for good sushi in Frederick.

Everything is pretty good except their soups. It's missing that umami flavor. The service is good and crew are is courteous.

Absolute waste of money I ordered miso soup, salad, and a few sushi rolls..I ordered through Grubhub and they had the driver waiting almost an hour for my food and he was going to cancel my order..So they called me and asked if I still wanted my food and of course because at this point I'm starving..The soup and was extremely sour tasting, The salad was literally iceberg lettuce with flavorless dressing and cost $3 I could get 3 heads of lettuce for that price..The sushi was by far the worst sushi I have ever had..I will never get sushi from here again the only reason I ordered from here was

The monkey brain avocado thing was scrumptious!
I REALLY like that thing. That being said we just ordered over $100 worth of sushi and everything besides the monkey brain was trash.

I have been twice since the COVID-19 crisis. The first time I had California roll which was awesome and Futomaki which has been notoriously hard for me to locate. It was excellent as well. This was a carry out order and it was ready very quickly. Today I called in a carry out order for a chicken Katsu bowl. I expected a fried chicken cutlet with my rice. What I got was a lot of beautiful delicate white chicken breast meat, mushrooms, and onions in a very light tasty gravy. It was unexpected but very delicious! I plan to go back as often as I possibly can.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch in May. It was empty. Enjoyed my sashimi app and balls. Nice low carb option. I would go back.

My daughter wanted some good sushi for lunch and this was the only one that we found that was open at 11, and not 12. We were pleasantly surprised! The sushi was excellent and so fresh. The staff was wonderful. The Teriyaki was really good too. I highly recommend the fried calamari appetizer. YUM. You wont be dissatisfied.

I really want this place to be better. It used to be a wonderful place in Frederick for sushi. The revolving lunch deal used to have a variety of rolls for you to choose from. This is not the case anymore. And the poor waitress...I swear she is really the only shining star in this place.

When I visited recently, I really wanted to introduce my friend to the pink lady roll and paradise roll that is my ultimate favorite. During the lunch rush, they refused to make them for us, even as a single entree.

I wish this place could return to its former glory.

Yummy sushi, good quality and decent portion, baby girl loved the chicken teriyaki bento and Thai tea. The avocado ball was so unique and delicious! We also ordered chicken karage and beef bowl... everything tasted great. Will def return!!!

I’ve only ate here once, the food was okay. It says it opens at 11 but actually doesn’t open til well after that. I can literally see them inside laughing and having a good time, not opening the restaurant. I’ve tried to eat here probably 3 different times but can’t wait due to the hour lunch break I get and it not opening on time. It’s honestly comical. Just change the opening time!

Service is extremely slow, sat down for at least 15 min and server is "too busy" to even stop by. Keep saying will be here in a very rude way while the whole restaurant are on buffet and only have 2 table service (including ours).

Quality of sushi is great for table order, but don't expect much for lunch buffets, for the whole time we just saw rolls without fish on the belt.

It's been a while since I've had lunch here. Went on the Friday before Christmas and arrived at 11:00 and the wait was about 30 minutes. It's still pretty good but the selection was basically different variations of the California roll. There was not much in terms of fresh fish; I seldom saw any tuna, salmon, shrimp, or eel, mainly imitation crab meat. I think I had one nigiri, which had a small sliver of salmon. Last night, my husband and I were craving Sushi so I hopped on UBER EATS to see what our options were for delivery and there I came across Sushi Densha. We placed an order for about $57: Edaname, Miso Soup, 2 sushi rolls including the Dynamite Roll, the Inner Harbor Roll and the Shrimp bowl with Fried Rice.

Our order was delivered within 45 minutes, which we were pleased with. Upon opening the package, the first thing I noticed was that the Sushi rolls were huge and definitely worth the $15 a roll cost. In my opinion, one roll was enough for 2 to share if you were in the mood for trying other

Service is sub-par, but they have a wonderful AYCE rotating sushi bar lunch special ($15 per person). It is nice that you get to watch the sushi chefs make the rolls and put the fresh pieces on the conveyor belt. Wonderful, fresh, delicious sushi for a great deal!

Such a neat place! The sushi was great, I had the Maryland Roll and the Angel Hair Roll. My son loved his Philadelphia roll. We also tried the salmon teriyaki bento box, chicken fried rice, and salmon steamed rice bowl. Everything was good. The only reason I have to do 4 stars is because we ordered food for pick up at 12:00 and it wasn’t done until 12:20...that’s quiet a while to have to wait on a short lunch break. And also because I asked for the steamed rice bowl with salmon to have no teriyaki sauce and they added it anyway. Would try again, it’d be fun to eat in with the revolving sushi

Knocked down a few stars because of the revolving belt not running and the very slow service.

I was visiting from out of town looking for a sushi place. When I walked in I was bummed to see that the sushi belt was not working (Even though I read that it should have been operating that time). It's not a deal breaker but I would like to have options and it's kind of fun having small bites come around. It's also awkward to sit next to a belt with chefs in the middle when it is not operating. I was pleased with the food I ordered. The chirashi bowl fish was good and presented nicely

We've been here a couple times and both times were good experiences. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is clean. I really wish the conveyer belt operated on the weekends.

The first time we came by (pictures) I had the Tonkatsu broth with cha su (pork belly). The broth was really rich and tasty and the noodle texture was great. The egg didn't taste like it had been marinated very long but fine nonetheless. We also had a couple sushi rolls that were good. Since we can be boring sushi eaters, we just got the spicy tuna and salmon.

I cannot day enough good things about sushi densha. We come for the weekday all you can eat lunch buffet and the food is always fresh and the staff is amazing. They know my kids by name and make us feel like… family. They ask if there is anything specific we want and put it on the belt at no extra charge and the chefs are incredible. My 4 and 6 year olds have dubbed this their favorite restaurant!

The rolling belt that moves the sushi around only works Mon-Fri.

It was a sunny day so we grabbed outdoor seating (only to be forgotten about but it wasn't the servers fault.) We ordered a tempura appetizer to start off with. Decent but not the best I've had. The sauce is more on the flat side.

The fish is always fresh. We love the sashimi and for rolls: Naruto and Tiger rolls. We also love the grilled ika (squid) and seaweed salad.

The service is ALWAYS superb. We've had a different server every time and they were ALL wonderful. We never have to wait for a table. Our favorite place in Frederick.

My cousin utilized yelp to locate Su Shi Den Sha. We had not seen each other in years and needed a half way point to do it while in Maryland.

We were seated upon arrival for lunch on a Wednesday around 12pm. Our waitress was my only true complaint about the experience. She was not friendly and was difficult to understand. She immediately wanted us to get the sushi lunch buffet for $15 (I believe) . When we tried to find out how to figure out which roll is which on their moving bar she said there is no way to know and she didn't name off anything but the imitation crab that was covering them
