If you are looking for a delicious meal and wonderful experience in Downtown Frederick, MD you must try Cacique. There is a large menu, food is so flavorful, portions are huge and prices are reasonable (they also offer coupons in the local mailings which I appreciate!)! They are very kid/family friendly! I will try to post a picture of the fajitas, they are marinated for days and you will not find better! We also love the seafood enchiladas, the queso and fried ice cream! The sangria is also wonderful! Even better than the food and atmosphere is the service. Nancy is our favorite waitress not only

Slow service and very disorganized. Paella Valencia was overcooked and bland. Puebla platter arrived 10 minutes after the other meals arrived. Waited close to an hour for our meals to arrive. They are unable to handle large groups as we were 17. Reminded manager that there was no soap in the men's bathroom In all honesty we would have been better of going to Taco Bell or Chipotle. Don't waste your time!

A wonderful place for authentic Hispanic and Latino cuisine! We were very excited to eat here after so many friends told us to, and we weren't disappointed. Starting off with the pitcher of Margarita, they were great in taste and not overly sour. The food was amazing, and some of the best paella I've had in a while. The Paella de Marisco was beautifully balanced and the seafood medley was fresh.
Our server was very nice and everyone around the restaurant was very attentive. Our party of 3 waited 5 minutes on a Saturday night, and they were quite busy.

My friend and I went with our kids for dinner last night and I had the best service that I've had in a long time. It's very rare that I tip someone over 20%, but I gave our server a 25% tip because the service was exceptional. He really needs to he acknowledged because he really provided us with a great dining experience. We ordered the Cadillac Margarita, chicken enchiladas, and steak and shrimp fajitas. The food was very flavourful. I'll definitely come back. I don't remember our server name, but on the receipt, it says "Marshall O". Before I go back, I'm going to personally ask if he's working

A staple in my family. The servers are attentive and so nice, there's something for everyone, and we've never had a bad meal. So glad to hear they've adhered to good covid guidelines! (This is a pre-covid comment, but the only time we ever had slow service was on Sat nights - so, you know, their busiest time.)

Cacique never disappoints!
Decided since Market St was closed down for the day that it would be a perfect opportunity to sit outside. There was an abundance of seating.
We didn't have to wait to be seated and the service was quick! We received refills on our waters several times without asking and food was brought to us quickly!
We ordered a half pitcher of margaritas and they were well liquored. ;)
The ceviche is fresh and they DO NOT skimp on putting the more expensive proteins in (shrimp and scallop.)
Yummy steak fajitas were cooked perfectly. A great amount of peppers and onions

Everything has been hitting tonight. This was the first time my wife and I tried this place. Nice atmosphere -- broken in.
Chips and salsa were delivered immediately. Chips were light, thin, not over salted. Salsa was fresh -- blended veggies (uncooked) with a nice little kick.
For the appetizer we ordered ceviche and the house margarita. It was really good. Most restaurants skimp on the alcohol in a margarita, and use a kool -aid type mix, but this was nicely balanced with fresh lime juice and plenty of tequila.

We stopped in while visiting from Delaware to try the paella. The restaurant is in a nice section of downtown Fredrick. We ordered muscles, ceviche, and then we all had paella Valencia for dessert. Our server was excellent. The appetizers were good. The ceviche was different from what we expected. It was a whole bowl filled with whole shrimp, talapia pieces, and a couple calamari rings. Previously whenever we have had it the seafood had always been chopped and placed in a tower. We prefer it that way but this may just just been a stylistic variation that we weren't aware of. The paella was very

Not every place needs to be Michelin-star quality. When I am in a new place and need gluten-free lunch options, Mexican-ish is my go to. Cacique fits the bill. The food is about what you would expect, and that's perfectly ok. I left feeling full and not ripped off, with the added bonus of wonderful street-side entertainment thanks to downtown Fredrick. No literally, I am sitting in the parking lane on the street-- hooray Covid times. They do offer much more authentic looking Spanish cuisine, but gotta be honest I was in the mood for some tacos. If you are too the Cacique is worth a stop.

I am a bit mystified as to why some ratings are so low at this wonderful restaurant. My wife and I and other family members had a marvelous culinary experience here today. The service was very attentive and excellent. The food? Our Chicken Fajita as absolutely fantastic. We ate outside in a marvelous environment. Highly, HIGHLY recommended and we most definitely will be back.

How in the WORLD does this place only have 3 stars?! We had lunch with family today our on the patio. They had butane heaters out for customers' comfort. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We split fajitas, and it was soooo good! Chips were thin and crispy like I like them. Good portions and seasoned perfectly. The place inside is huge, and we look forward to returning after Covid to their dining room. They're carefully following Covid restrictions while delivering a great experience. Not sure why the ratings are so low, bc it was great for us.

Delivering on delicious Spanish cuisine.
Cacique is not to be confused with your run-of-the-mill Mexican eatery. Cacique creates high quality and traditional Spanish dishes such as paella, saltado, and a beautiful assortment of spiced seafood plates.
Cacique does also offer more familiar Mexican dishes such as quesadillas, chimichangas, and an entire section of the menu dedicated to fajitas, but trust me when I say, break out of your comfort zone and enjoy in some savory dishes from their Spanish section. If you are unfamiliar with the charred meat and heavily seasoned Spanish style of cooking

Our meal was horrible. Unfortunately, the worst Mexican food we've had. Our queso came out cold- Tostitos would have been a better option. The chimichanga was tasteless along with the beans and rice. If you're looking for quality Mexican food, this is not your place. For what we paid, it was not worth it.

My boo and I came here with my parents for a late lunch on a gorgeous fall day and were seated immediately outside. Market St has been closed off to cars to allow for extra outdoor dining and was a great ambiance. We started with ceviche was a generous portion although slightly too acidic. I enjoyed a portion of Spanish inspired mussels. My parents really enjoyed their salmon and chicken fajitas and hubby scarfed down a chimichanga. We ordered a half pitcher of sangria which was the right amount for 4 people except 2 of us split it!

My girlfriend and I ordered the food she wanted which was shrimp tacos and Seafood anchiladas which i didnt eat much of because I was too busy working on my 2 person margarita by myself an wooo it sure did me in. The little bit of food i did eat was very good. And sparky my service dog enjoyed the complimentary chips an salsa. Over all a good experience.
