He seemed nice at first and I was sorry to discover his fondness for our president...telling myself that was irrelevant, I pressed forward. But his estimated cost for doing my taxes was triple what I was expected to pay (and eventually did pay) and I was happy to have a real reason to leave.

I've used John for both my personal taxes and my corporate taxes for several years now. I have always been satisfied with the quality of service. He even went out of his way one year to let me know I was paying my management company far more then the average. His attention to detail and level of care makes him and his team an excellent choice.

My CPA of many years fell very ill and was unable to return to work. It's never a good feeling to have to look for a new CPA. But once I spoke to John during my complimentary 30 min consultation, all my fears went away. He is very approachable, humble, and has an awesome staff! He was able to quickly review my past tax returns and two days later, he completed my tax return. Highly recommended and I'll be back next year.

Did I say fun and taxes in the same sentence? Guess I am getting older. His rates are reasonable and he or his staff will get back to you quickly if you have a question. His small office is low key and located in Culver City not in some fancy Beverly Hills office building which probably keeps his costs down and the fees he charges

Normally I do my own taxes online but I'm starting my own business so things are getting more complicated. John is the first CPA I've worked with. I appreciate that it was easy to get time for a free 30 min consult and later an hour appointment to do the return.
In between appointments John was approachable and responsive via email, and he pointed me to some useful tools (Xero and MileIQ). I feel like I've found someone I can come to as my business grows for advice throughout the year, not just at tax season, which is what I was looking for. I would recommend John!
